My Cup of Tea

Coffee Loving Cardmakers is currently hosting the 2020 Fall / Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! For my third entry into this hop, I chose the adorable stamp You’re a Squeak Heart  (Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps) and die cut from My Creative Time – You Deserve A Break (Retired).

The image was coloured with copic markers. I coloured in the image and then fussy cut around it. For the tea cup die, I folded the base cardstock in half and then put the My Creative Time – You Deserve A Break die slightly over the edge. I die cut the cup once again, this time using the paper from Your Next Stamp – The Perfect Blend Designer Paper. I edged around the tea cup with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Evergreen Bough. Then I glued the background paper on top of the base and also glued on the other tea cup die cuts.

For the little tag, I first stamped the sentiment with Versa Fine – Onyx Black and then embossed it with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder. This was then heat set with Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. I then cut the tags using My Creative Time – Little Gift Tags (Retired) die cuts. Lastly, the sentiment and coloured image were popped up using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

Sharing a card I made for my October Kraftin’ Kimmie Pen Pal using It’s Turkey Day by Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps! For the sentiment I used Pumpkin Kisses (Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps) and It’s Turkey Day (Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps).

I thought it would be fun to create this card as an accordian card. To achieve this, I used Elizabeth Craft Designs – Accordian Oval Card dies. I die cut several patterned papers and attached them to the AC Cardstock – Autumn base card for extra support. All of the edges were inked with Kraftin’ Kimmie – Crisp Crimson for the centre ovals, Kraftin’ Kimmie – Tempting Tangerine for everything else.

The images were stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured in with copic markers. Both of the sentiments were stamped with VersaMark ink and then embossed with Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail. The embossing powder was heat set with Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool.

Sharing a card I made today for a challenge using Super Cool Pals  from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps. I really love anything Christmas and winter related and who couldn’t resist this adorable snowman and little fox?

To make my card, I started out by stamping the image using my MISTI and Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured the image with Copic markers and then fussy cut around it. I die cut the background paper using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies. It’s from Stampin Up’, but I received it in a Mystery Box, so I’m not sure what paper pack it comes from. Then I tore up some Recollections – Christmas Inkjet Printable Glitter Paper and taped it to the bottom of the panel.

The snowflake was die cut using Hot Buy Craft Smart – Holiday Glitz Glitter Paper 12″ x 12″ and Tim Holtz – Sizzix Thinlets – Paper Snow Flakes. I ran the paper and my finished coloured image through my Xyron Creative Station and also the Holiday Glitz paper was put through it as well before I die cut it. This allowed me to make stickers out of both items. For the sentiment, I used my MISTI, Versa Fine – Onyx Black and then embossed it with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder. This was then heat embossed with my Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Once this was done, I die-cut the sentiment with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles and edged all around it with Kraftin’ Kimmie – Lovely Lagoon Ink. I also edged all around the snowy background with the same ink.

For the assembly, I started out using the base from Recollections -Christmas Cards and Envelopes set at 5.5″ x 4.25″. Using double-sided tape, I  adhered the snowy background to the base. Then I added my main image and snowflake. The sentiment was popped up using some 3M VHB – 2 sided tape and Stickles – Diamond glitter was added to parts of the snow to finish the card off.

Missed Your Birthday!! Tusk! Tusk!

I was late sending out a friends card recently, so today I’m sharing a card I made using (Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps) Long in the Tooth!, Turtle-y Awesome! and Oceans of Love. For the background, I used Kraftin’ Kimmie Stencils Krafty Scenery 3 and Basics Stencil. I just love these little images and thought this cute sentiment was perfect for a belated birthday.

To create this card, I cut Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. paper at 5.5″ x 4.25″. I created the background clouds using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean and Kraftin’ Kimmie – Basics Stencil. The ocean and waves were created using Kraftin’ Kimmie – Krafty Scenery 3 and Krafty Kolours – Lovely Lagoon and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean. The white caps were created using Copic Opaque White. The sun was also created using the same stencil using Krafty Kolours – Summer Sunshine. The sand was created using a mixture of the 2 stencils and Krafty Kolours – Sandy Shores. The images were coloured with Copic markers and then I used my Brother Scan and Cut to die cut them out. I went around each one of the images with a black marker and then ran them through my Xyron’s and placed them onto the background. I used some pop-dots to adhere the seashells to the card.

BBQ King

Sharing a birthday card I made using Good In The Woods Accessories and Good in the Woods (Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps) for the images. A friend of mine is a BBQ King and has won multiple awards for his prowess at BBQing. I thought these stamps matched him perfectly.

To make the card I started with a base of 5.5″ x 4.25″ white cardstock. Next, I cut the background paper from Your Next Stamp Designer Paper Pad – For the Boys at the same size. I adhered it to the base with double-side tape and then edged around the entire card with Kraftin’ Kimmie – Stormy Sky ink.

I die-cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my Cuttlebug and Your Next Stamp – Stitched Rectangle Die Set. I stamped the images onto the die cut using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black Ink. Next I coloured in the image with Copic Markers and then ran it through my Xyron Creative Station. I adhered this to some red cardstock and created a thin border around it. Lastly, I popped up the image using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape and applied it on top of the background paper.

You are Mer-Mazing!

Sharing a card I made today using You are Mer-Mazing (Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps) for the images and sentiments. For the background I used Kraftin’ Kimmie – Mermaid Scales Stencil.

I stamped my images using Memento – Tuxedo Black onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI to get nice clean images. The images were then coloured in with Copic markers and I added some Wink of Stella – Clear to the fins, bikini top and starfish in the mermaids hair. To finish off the card, I fussy cut around all of the images and them popped them up on the background using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.
