Owl – St. Patrick’s Day!

Today I’m sharing a St. Patrick’s Day card that I made using KLM Digital DesignsOwl – St. Patrick’s Day from the new December 2024 Release.

The image was printed out with my HP Printer onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using High Quality Grayscale and coloured in with Copic markers, then fussy cut. I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn – Celebration Scripty Sentiments using my MISTI and Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink – Lucky Clover onto Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb., then fussy cut around it. With a Cuttlebug and dies from Spellbinders Nestabilities – Classic Scalloped Ovals (LG) and Lawn Fawn – Magic Iris Behive Add-on, I die cut the large oval and tree branch. A Copic MultiLiner Sepia 0.1 was then applied to the branch to create some bark lines and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Pine Needles was applied all around the oval die cut using a sponge dauber.

The base card was created to the size of 4.25″ x 5.5″ out of Hammermill – Premium 110 lb. cardstock. Green cardstock from my stash was cut to the same size as the base and applied with double-sided tape. Doodlebug – Happy-Go-Lucky paper was cut to the size of 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint was applied all around the edges and the it was popped up onto the centre of the card using U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape. U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape was applied to the backs of the coloured image, oval, tree branch and sentiment and then they were popped up onto the card. Lastly, Kraftin’ Kimmie Fruity dots were added to complete the card.

Matchbook Santa Christmas!

Today I’m sharing a Match Book sized Christmas card using Art ImpressionsMB Santa Christmas – 5442MB Template Dies (5317), MB Envelope Die (5318)  that I made. Love these little cards as they are so fun to make. The closed size is 1.75″ x 2″.

To create the card, I began with the card base using PhotoPlay – Christmas Memories double-sided paper, Cuttlebug die-cutting machine and the Art ImpressionsMB Template Dies (5317). Using the same dies, I also die cut the flooring using Joy Crafts – Artist Trading Card – Tough Texture. This small paper is excellent for the small detail required. I glued this piece to the base and set it aside.

With Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI, I stamped all of the images and the sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in all of the images and applied Pental Slicci – Gold 8.0 pen to the lamp post. A Quickie Glue Pen was used to apply Glitter to Santa’s hat and clothing, the stockings, Christmas Tree Bulbs and on the wreath. With the Cuttlebug, I die cut all of the inside pop-ups using Art ImpressionsMB Santa Christmas 5442 and the envelopes using Craft Smith – Peppermint Twist double-sided paper and the Art ImpressionsMB Envelope Die (5318). (Not shown in photo.)

Double-sided tape was applied to do the assembly on the tabs and wall items. They were then all adhered to the base card as show above. I created a little 1.5″ x 1.5″ white square and attached it to some Recollections – Red cardstock. I then cut around it again to create a slim border. I glued this onto the back of the card in order write my sentiment. The card was then folded up and put into the little match book envelope.

Mandala #3

Today, I’m sharing a Christmas card using KLM Digital DesignMandala #3 from the new December release. Being close to Christmas, I also made this to look like a Christmas ornament. Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to everyone!

Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb. was used to create a 5.5″ x 5.5″ card base. DCWV – Holiday Cheer paper was cut to the same size and inked around the edges using a Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint to create the gold border. This was applied directly to the base using double-sided tape.

The image was imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in the image with Copic markers listed below and then traced around the entire image using a combination of Pental Slicci – Gold 8.0 pen for the thin lines and UNI Posca Pen – Gold for the thicker lines.

The Mandala was popped up onto the top part of the card using U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape. With a Cuttlebug and Creative Expressions by Sue Wilson – Festive Collection – Ornate Holly Framed Noel die, I die cut the Noel out of Recollections – Matte Gold Foil 3 times. I layered the 3 pieces together with liquid glue and attached the sentiment to the card. Lastly, I added in some rhinestones to complete the card.
