Baking Birthday Trolls!

Today I’m sharing a Birthday card using Craftin’ Desert Divas – Chef Trolls (Retired) stamp and sentiments that I made for my mom last month! She has always loved to bake, so I thought these were the perfect little images for her.

With a Cuttlebug and Photo-Play – Circle Windows Etched Dies, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock and Echo Park – Birthday Girl – Bouncing Balloons cardstock. With some scrap paper, I die cut the floral scalloped circle using dies from the same set.

I created a base card to the size of 8.5″ x 3.5″ using Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb. cardstock.  The edges of the the scalloped circle and patterned die cut were inked with a finger dauber and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Saltwater Taffy. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Kitsch Flamingo and a finger dauber were used to ink all of the edges of the large patterned die cut and then it was attached directly to the base card using liquid glue.

Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, the images were stamped onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock circles. These were coloured in with Copic markers listed below and then applied to the base card using liquid glue. The sentiment was applied to the scalloped circle using a MISTI and Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink. Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder was applied to the ink and heat embossed with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. I applied the circle from the base card into the centre circle using liquid glue and then applied some Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Saltwater Taffy around the circle. U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape was applied to scalloped circle and 3 balloon brads and they were all popped up onto the card. Lastly, using various Stickles listed below, I added some sparkle to the small dots on the patterned paper to finish it off.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!

Today I am sharing a Happy St. Patrick’s Day card I made using Gerda Steiner StampsSt. Patrick’s Day Cat and Hat Digital Stamp stamp for the image and Lawn Fawn – Celebration Scripty Sentiments for the sentiment. Lawn Fawn – Clover Background Stencils were used to create the background.

To make my cards this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. I created the background using Lawn Fawn – Clover Background Stencils, and applying Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Lucky Clover for the first layer and then Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Pine Needles for the second layer along with the Lucky Clover ink in spots using an ink blending brush. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Pine Needles was then applied all around the edges of the card using a finger dauber.

The image was imported into Microsoft Word and then printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card paper using HP Printer Grayscale. With my Cuttlebug, I die cut the image using dies from My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Die Layers. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers and then Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Mowed Lawn was applied around the edges of the die cut.

The sentiment was stamped directly onto the base card using Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and MISTI for placement. I embossed the sentiment with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder and then heat embossed it with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape was applied to back of the coloured image and it was popped up onto the centre of the card. Lastly, I added in a few sparkly Gumdrops from Your Next Stamp.

It’s Always Cupcake Time!!!

Today I am sharing a birthday card I made using Kraftin’ Kimmie StampsBirthday Lulu stamp and sentiment.

To make my cards this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″.

With my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and the sentiment directly onto the base card using Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink. I embossed the sentiment with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder and then heat embossed it with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and then fussy cut all around it. Spectrum Noir – Sparkles – Crystal Clear was applied to the icing and dots on Lulu’s hat.

With a Cuttlebug and We R Memory Keepers – Quickutz Nesting Scallops, I die cut the smaller scallop circle out of Doodlebug Design Inc. – Made With Love paper (3.5″) and the larger scallop circle out of Doodlebug Design Inc. – Spring Solid Assortment cardstock (3-7/8″). Doodlebug Design Inc. – Made With Love cardstock was cut to the size of 4/3-8″ x 1″ and Doodlebug Design Inc. – Spring Solid Assortment cardstock was cut to the size of 4.5″ x 1-1/8″ for the rectangles. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Worn Lipstick was used to ink around the edges of both scallops and the smaller rectangles.

The card was now ready to assemble. With liquid glue, I applied the smaller rectangles onto the large rectangles. Then using double-sided tape, I applied each of the rectangles to the base card. U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape was applied to both scallop circles and the coloured image. All 3 were centred and popped up on top of each other to complete the card.

Sweet Note of Thanks!

Today I’m sharing a Thank-you card using Your Next StampMusic Bunny – CYNS262. I was on a cruise last year and we met some wonderful couples that sat at the tables next to ours and we exchanged information. Unknown to us until the final evening, the couple that sat directly beside us was Steven Gilliland and his wonderful wife Diane. Steven happens to be a very well known acclaimed author and public speaker. My husband and I were so happy when Steven sent us a few of his books, “Making a Difference” and a “Cherry On Top”. Steven had personally autographed them to us as well. What a kind and awesome gesture and it was very much appreciated. We are currently reading his books and just love them. As a thank you for their kind generosity, I sent them this card from my husband and I.

To create the card, I began with a card base of 5.5″ x 5.5″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. I cut Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock to be the same size as the base card and applied double-sided tape to it. This was adhered directly to the base card. Next, I cut a piece of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock to the size of 5.25″ x 5.25″. I sprayed some water onto the paper and then using Kraftin’ Kimmie – Musical Melodies stencil I placed it on top of the paper and ran it through my Cricut Die Cutting machine to emboss the paper. Once the paper was dry, I placed the stencil over top of the paper again and this time, using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Black Soot and a blending brush, I coloured in the musical notes. I also inked around the edges with the same ink and a mini dauber.

Using my Cuttlebug and PinkFresh Studio – Essentials – Blanket Stitched Square 4″ dies, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The main image was stamped onto this die cut using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI. I coloured in the image and created my own background. Once this was completed, I put the image back into my MISTI and stamped the sentiment using Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink. Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder was applied over top of the ink and then heat embossed with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. The little notes were added with Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and a miniature stamping block. I just chose several notes and stamped them randomly around the image. I felt like the image was still missing something, so I decided to take my Copic black marker (100) and using the lines from the die cut as a guide, coloured in every second stripe. I thought this made it look like a piano keyboard. Lastly, My Creative Time – Stitched Squares Inside and Out 4.5″ were used to die cut Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock.

The card was now ready to assemble. I added U-Line Double-Sided Foam tape to the back of the music square, gold square and image. Each of them were popped onto each other and centred onto the base card.

Owl Carol

Today, I’m sharing a Christmas card that I made using a retired image from Di’s Digistamps called Owl Carol.

For the base card, I used Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb. and cut it and scored it to be 5.5″ x 5.5″. For the background, I cut Hunkydory Adorable Scorable Pattern Packs – Let It Snow paper to the same size as the base card and inked around the edges and along the bottom with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Prize Ribbon. I adhered this to the base card with double-sided tape. Washi Tape was then applied directly to the left side of the card base. Waffle Flower – Nesting Square dies and Cuttlebug were used to die cut a 4.25″ x 4.25″ piece of dark blue cardstock.  Precision Cutting Dies by Frantic Stamper Inc. “Falalalala” was used to die cut the sentiment 4 times. 3 times with the dark blue cardstock and 1 time using Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock.

The image using HP High Quality Grayscale was printed onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and die cut using Cuttlebug and My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff was added to the bottom of the image for the snow. Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool was applied to the snow to puff it up. Stickles – Diamond was applied to the puffy snow to add a little more sparkle and also to the top of the lantern and tree branch. Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen was applied in the sky to create a snowy background. Sakura Glaze – Black and Gelly Roll Sakura #5 Pen were added to the noses on the mouse and rabbit. The finished image was popped up onto the blue square cardstock using 3M – double-sided foam tape and then this was attached to the base card using U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape. The “Falalalala” sentiments were attached together to give the illusion of being 3-D and applied to the card using liquid glue to finish it off.

Birthday Present Girl!!

Today, I’m sharing a birthday card that I made using this fun image from Polkadoodles called Surprise Gift Digi – Winnie Celebrations 2.

To make the card, I first imported the image and sentiment into Microsoft Word. I sized the image to fit 3.75″ x 2.5″ and printed it out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my HP Printer. Using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies, I die-cut the image out. The frame was die cut using Hot Buy – Recollections – Jewel Tones paper and Gina Marie Designs – Loopy Rectangle Die Set. Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock was used to create the base card at the size of 5.5″ x 4.25″. Doodlebug – hey cupcake paper was cut to the same size as the base and applied using double-sided tape. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry and a finger dauber were used to ink around all of the 4 sides of the card.

The image was coloured in with Copic markers and 3M double-sided pop-up tape were applied to the back of the image and Loopy rectangle. Both were attached to the centre of the card. The sentiment was stamped onto Fuschia paper using my MISTI and then die cut with a circle punch. Using a white gel pen, I created stitched lines. 2 layers of 3M double-sided popup tape were added to the back of the circle on one side and then glue on the other half and it was popped up onto the card. Lastly, I added a few Kraftin’ Kimmie – Festive Dots just to add a little bit more colour!

Sharing a belated birthday card that I made today using Photo-PlayO Canada 2 Beaver & Hockey and Lawn Fawn – Let’s Go Nuts for the bottom half of the sentiment. I couldn’t resist this adorable beaver and it’s sentiment when I saw it. Can you guess what hockey team he plays for? LOL!

Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock was used to create a 5.5″ x 4.25″ card base. I cut the iced boards and ice to the size of 5.5″ x 1-7/8″ and coloured in the lines with copic markers using a ruler. I added a shadow where the beaver was going to be and then applied Wink of Stella – Clear onto the ice portion. I applied the rink portion to the base using double-sided tape. Echo Park Paper Co.Happy Birthday Boy paper was cut to the size of 5.5″ x 2-3/8″ and it was adhered to the card using liquid glue.

Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the images onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. They were coloured in with Copic markers and then fussy cut. Christmas Kitty Fun!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Christmas Kitty Fun – S107 for the main image and Merry Christpaws – FLL006 for the sentiment. Our cats could never resist playing with our Christmas wrapping paper and playing in the boxes. I can’t even begin to count how many cardboard boxes they demolished over the years! LOL! Wishing you and all of your pets a very safe and joyous Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of 6″ x 6″ using AC Cardstock – White. I thought this patterned paper from Craft Smart – Hot Buy called Happy Pawlidays went perfect with this image and sentiment.

The image was stamped using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock and Lawn Fawn – Let It Shine Snowflakes patterned paper. I coloured in the image and then fussy cut around it. With a black marker, I inked around the outside of the image.  I ran the patterned paper through my Xyron Creative Station to make it like a sticker and then fussy cut around the gift paper and paper pieced it onto the coloured image. The entire image was then adhered to the card using liquid glue. I removed the backing from the remainder of the gift portions and applied them directly to the card base as well. A few extra white and sparkly dots were added onto the patterned gift paper using a Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen and Gelly Roll Stardust – Clear pen. Stickles – Diamond was applied to the hat, pompom, snowflakes and dots on the background patterned paper to add some extra sparkle.

Using my MISTI and VersaMark ink, I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap piece of red cardstock. Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail was applied over top of the ink and then heat set with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. This was die cut using my Cuttlebug and Pink & Main – Large Sentiment Strip Dies. The sentiment was popped up onto the top of the card using U-Line double-sided tape. Lastly, I glued on some embellishment buttons after removing the backings from Dress It Up – Holiday Collection – Itty Bitty Snowflakes and Dress It Up – Holiday Collection – Glitter Holly. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Barn Door was inked around the outside edges of the card with a sponge dauber to finish it off.

Noel!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a CAS Christmas card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Woodland Stocking – TDG011. We always had stockings under the tree filled with goodies and our names on each of the stockings. Even our dogs had their own stockings growing up. LOL!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of 6″ x 6″ using AC Cardstock – White. I adhered Recollections – Christmas Cottage 6 in. x 6 in. cardstock to the base front using double-sided tape. Using my Cuttlebug and paper from Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, I die cut the frame with Waffle Flower – Nesting Square dies. The image was stamped onto the die cut using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured in the image and then inked around the edges with a NUVO Glitter Marker – Golden Honey. I added some U-Line double-sided tape to the back of the coloured image and popped it up into the centre of the diamond. To finish off the card, I added 4 pop dots from YNS – Happy Harvest Gumdrops.

Carolers – Joy To The World!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Carolers – TT011 for the main image and Joy to the World – GLL012, for the sentiment. Seeing these carolers reminds me of my younger days when we would go visiting and sing Christmas carols at our cousins and our parent’s friends’ houses.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base from Recollections – Winter 4.25″ x 5.5 (Assorted Box of Cards). Using my Cuttlebug and paper from Crafter’s Companion – Luxury Cardstock – Ice Blue Pack, I die cut the snowflake border with Lawn Fawn – Snowflake Border die cuts. Using the same paper, I cut a thin strip .25″ x 5.5″. With Lawn Fawn – Sparkle Cardstock in “Pixie Dust”, I cut a strip 1″ x 5.5″. Using double-sided tape, I attached the 1″ strip directly onto the base card. I ran the other strip through my Xyron Create a Sticker and attached it to the card next to the 1″ strip. I added liquid glue to the backs of each of the snowflakes for the snowflake border and adhered them over top of the larger strip. Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Tumbled Glass and a finger dauber were used to ink around all of the edges of the card.

With my Cuttlebug and dies from My Favourite Things – Die-namics – Elegant Rectangle Stax, I die cut a large rectangle out of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. The image was stamped onto the die cut using my MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured in the image and then added the snow in the sky using a Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen. Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff was added to the trim of the girl’s jacket and then heat set with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool to puff it up. Crystal – Stickles was added on top of this and also along her dress hem. DecoArt Snow-Tex sprinkled with DecoArt Glamour Dust and a spatula were used to create the snow on the bottom of the image. Crystal – Stickles was added to add some extra sparkle and give some highlights. Wink of Stella – Clear was added on top of the music books. The sentiment was stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Northern Pine ink. It was then die cut using my Cuttlebug and Poppystamps – Christmas Quotes dies. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Rustic Wilderness was used to ink around the edges. I added U-Line double-sided tape to the back of the sentiment and finished image and popped them both up onto the card. Lastly, I added Ranger – Snowflake Glitter with liquid glue to finish it off.

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps North Pole Penguin – TDG008 for the main image and Seasons Greetings – F300A, for the sentiment. Christmas is getting nearer and this little penguin is helping Santa deliver some of your presents this year!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base from Crate Paper – Boxed Cards – Mittens & Mistletoe (5.5″ x 4.25″). Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Rustic Wilderness and a finger dauber were used to ink around all of the edges. With my Cuttlebug and dies from My Favourite Things – Die-namics – Elegant Rectangle Stax, I die cut a large rectangle out of Forever In Time – Texture Rouge paper and a smaller one out of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. U-Line double-sided tape was added to the large rectangle and it was popped up onto the base card.

The image was stamped onto the smaller rectangle using my MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured in the image and then with a paint brush and a small mixture of DecoArt Glamour Dust, FolkArt – Extreme Glitter Acrylic Paint and Delta Ceramcoat – White, I added in the first layer of snow. A little more DecoArt Glamour Dust was added to it while it was still wet. This dried pretty quickly and Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff and more glitter were added to give the snow some texture. I also added this to the hat, pompom and sign. Lastly, I added some Crystal – Stickles because you can never have enough glitter. LOL! Wink of Stella – Clear was added to the bows, side of the ball on the pole and down the entire pole. Pental Sunburst Metalic Med Gel Pen – Gold and Wink of Stella – Clear were added to the pink present dots. Once everything was dry, I stamped the sentiment using my MISTI and VersaMark ink. Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail was applied over top of the ink and then heat embossed with Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. The snow in the sky was created using a Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen. I applied U-Line double-sided tape to the back of the image and popped it up on top of the larger rectangle. To complete my card, I added in 4 YNS – Holly Jolly Sparkly Gumdrops in the corners.

Snow Kisses!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a snow lady Christmas card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Snow Kisses – TT059 for the main image and Holly Jolly – K048 for the sentiment. I’ve always loved snow people and birds and this stamp combo makes me smile because it has both.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock – White, cut and scored to be 6″ x 6″. I cut 2 strips of Doodlebug Design Inc. – Winter Wonderland coloured snowflake pattern to the size of 6″ x .75″. 2 strips of Doodlebug Design Inc. – Spring Solid Assortment paper to the size of 6″ x .25″ and 1 strip of Forever In Time – Textura Sky cut to the size of 6″ x 4″. With Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Evergreen Bough and a blending brush, I inked around all of the edges of the larger pieces. I ran all of the smaller pieces through my Xyron Create a Sticker. The pieces were then attached to the base card from top to bottom. I used liquid glue to attach the larger piece. I trimmed around the 3 sides of the card with a paper trimmer to make it all even.

For the frame around the image, using my Couture Creations – Go Power and Emboss die cutting machine, I die cut the entire frame with Doodlebug Design Inc. – Winter Wonderland paper and Penny Black – Graceful Stackers dies. 2 dies were pieced together for the pink frame using my cutting device and Forever In Time – Textura Blush cardstock. Lastly, I stamped the image with Memento – Summer Sky ink onto Lawn Fawn – Sparkle Cardstock in “Pixie Dust” using my MISTI. I took this piece and ran it through my Couture Creations – Go Power and Emboss die cutting machine again so that it would fit snug into the frame. I cut off the remainder following the stamped snow along the top and inked it with the Memento – Summer Sky ink. Using liquid glue, I applied the pink frame over top of the snowflake die cut while carefully matching up the edges. Liquid glue was applied to the lower back of the snow piece and it was attached to the snowflake background inside the frame.

The image was stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. After colouring the images, I fussy cut around all of them and then with a black marker, inked around all of the edges. I popped up the snowlady using U-Line double-sided tape and attached her to the card under the snow. The little bird was also popped up using U-Line double-sided tape and some liquid glue. Using Copic B41, I added in some shadows in the snow and Stickles – Hibiscus was applied to the scarf and pompom to give them some extra sparkle.

The sentiment was stamped onto Doodlebug Design Inc. – Spring Solid Assortment using my MISTI and Versamark ink. Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail was applied and then heat embossed using a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – More Stitched Circles, I die cut the sentiment. The edges were inked around using a finger dauber and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Evergreen Bough. The snowflake was cut using my Cuttlebug, Lawn Fawn – Sparkle Cardstock in “Pixie Dust” cardstock and die from Recollections – Christmas Snowflakes Clear Stamp & Die set. I popped up both the sentiment and snowflake using U-Line double-sided tape onto the card. Lastly, I added 3 Doodlebug Designs Inc. – Sprinkles onto the frame to finish it off.

The Best Dirt!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Gordon Groundhog – R123 for the image and The Best Dirt – F221 for the sentiment. My husband loves gardening and this makes me think of him! LOL! We have a few little squirrels that like to raid his garden, eat the tomatoes and dig up the potatoes. Luckily, my husband is good natured and says he can’t get mad at them for what comes natural. We call our back yard the Stevenson’s oasis for wild animals. We have bunnies, squirrels, racoons, possums and a mole that seem to like our vegetables and sometimes we’ve even caught them sleeping up on the furniture under the Gazebo. My husband has now installed a backyard web cam so that we can now capture some of what goes on at night while we are sleeping.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb., cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. Echo Park – New Day Beautiful Blooms Paper was cut to be the same size as the base and applied using double-sided tape. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mowed Lawn and a finger dauber were used to ink around all of the edges of the card. Anna Griffin Empress Mini Cutting Machine and My Favourite Things Die-Namics – Single Stitch Line Rounded Rectangle Frames were used to die cut Stampin’ UP! – Regals Designer Series Paper, Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock.

The clouds in the sky were created using the inner part of the die-cut from the Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock and a mid-size Gina K Designs Blender Brush, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean and stencils that I created using Avery Elle – Pierced Clouds Die. Once this was done, I used regular tape to piece the outer die cut from the Stampin’ UP! – Regals Designer Series Paper and the clouds piece together from the back side. I stamped the image onto the inner frame of the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI. Once the image was coloured, it was fussy cut around the top part of the image. I applied U-Line double-sided tape to the image and background pieces that I had joined together and popped them both up onto the card.

The sentiment was also stamped using my MISTI onto the same cardstock and then cut with a small cutting device. I ran this through my Xyron Create a Sticker and adhered it to Recollections – Black cardstock. Once again, I cut around the sentiment, leaving a slim border. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the back of this and it was popped up onto the card. Lastly, to finish it off, I added some Doodlebug Design Inc. Braddies with Glue Dots – Mini.

Boo Pals!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Hallowe’en card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Boo Pals – SS007 for the image and Boo-tiful Day – E233 for the sentiment. Hallowe’en is now only a few months away! Wow! Where has this year gone? Time seems to be flying by so fast!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. I cut the background paper from Recollections – Black cardstock to be the same size as the base card and attached it using double-sided tape. Using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers and my Anna Griffin Empress Mini Machine, I die cut Doodlebug – Pumpkin Party cardstock. I just love these little ghosts. With a finger dauber and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Villainous Potion, I inked around all of the edges of the die cut. U-Line double-side tape was applied to the back of this piece and I popped it up onto the base card. Using the same cutting machine, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock using Nestabilities Dies – Deckled Rectangles – Large.

I stamped the main image onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card die cut using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it in. I created my own moon shape using a 2″ circle mask that I had created earlier with a Fiskars hand punch. The eyes and nose for the cat and ghost were added in using a Sakura Glaze – Black pen. I ran the coloured image through my Xyron Creative Station and attached it to Recollections – Black cardstock. I didn’t have a larger die of the same shape, so I put the piece that I had adhered together into my Brother Scan ‘N Cut and created a .08″ border around it. This created the small black border to make the image pop. The sentiment was stamped onto a scrap piece of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and then it was die cut using my cutting machine and Poppystamps – Christmas Quotes. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet and a finger dauber were used to go around the die cut.

The card was now ready to assemble. I added U-Line double-sided tape to the back of the frame and sentiment and popped them both up onto the card to finish it off.

Card Recipe:

Santa…I Tried!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Reindeer Games – S108 for the image and Santa…I Tried – FLL001 for the sentiment. It’s never too early to start making Christmas cards and I couldn’t resist this super fun image and sentiment paired together. It just makes me laugh and I hope it makes you laugh too! I don’t think the reindeer worked very hard, I think he just wanted Santa to pull the sleigh while he relaxed. LOL!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. I cut the background to be the same size using Stampin UP! – ‘Tis The Season paper and adhered it to the base card using double-sided tape. Using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Rustic Wilderness and a finger dauber, I inked around all of the edges of the card. Using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies, I die cut Forever In Time – Texture Rouge paper. I added some U-Line double-sided tape to it and popped it up on top of the patterned paper. Using Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock.

The image was stamped with Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto the die cut using my MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool. I coloured in the image and background with Copic Markers. I added in the puffy Santa trim and pop-pom using Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff. This was then heated with my Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool to puff up the liquid. For the blue tints in the snow, I first coloured them in with Copic Marker – B60 and then using a Ranger – Emboss It Pen Clear and Stampendous – Frozen Ice Tinsel Embossing Powder, I heat embossed the snow drifts. I stamped the sentiment using my MISTI, Versamark and Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail. This again was heated with my heating tool. Then, I added in the snow in the sky with a Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen. Lastly, I added Stickles – Diamond to add some more sparkle to the snow on the ground and Stickles – Holly all around the frame of the coloured image. I set this all aside to dry for a few hours and then applied U-Line double-sided tape to the back of the coloured image and popped it up onto the red rectangle. To finish off the card, I added in 3 pop-dots from YNS Gumdrops – Milk and Cookies – Matte.

Shepherd Boy!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Young Shepherd – P029 for the image and Oh Holy Night – E070 for the sentiment as part of celebrating Christmas in July this month.  This little shepherd is showing all of his love for his little lamb and sharing the true meaning of Christmas.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. I used a panel from Heartfelt Creations – Festive Winterscapes Collection for the main background as I thought it would go so well with the image and sentiment for this card. I added some U-Line double-sided tape and popped it up onto the base card.

The image and sentiment were both stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool. The image was stamped with Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and the sentiment was stamped with Memento – Danube Blue ink. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers and then I fussy cut around it leaving a slim white border. I die cut the sentiment after I stamped it using my Anna Griffin Empress Mini Machine and Poppystamps – Christmas Quotes dies. I applied U-Line double-sided tape to the back of the sentiment and image and popped them both up onto the background.
