Birthday Wishes!!

Welcome Back Dreamerland Craft Fans!

Today, I’m sharing a birthday card that I made using Dreamerland Crafts stamp Together for the Holidays – DS19048 for my main image and Birthday 08 – DS17059 (Dreamerland Crafts) for the sentiment.

To make this card I used a base card of 4.25″ x 5.5″. I die cut X-Press It Blending Card using my Cuttlebug and die cut from Papercraft Inspirations. Then I stamped the image using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI. The original stamp also has snowflakes. I removed them for this card. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and then I used the same die cut to make the frame using Crafts – Sparkling Stickers – 02-3068629. I also used the same paper for my base background colour.

I used Your Next Stamp – Stitched Rectangle Die Set to die cut Echo Park Paper Co. – Happy Birthday Girl paper and then inked around the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. Next, I stamped the sentiment using Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and my MISTI. I used Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder and then heat embossed the powder with Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Then I adhered this to the base of the card. Lastly, I used 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to pop up the image and added a few pop dots from Kraftin’ Kimmie to complete the card.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Happy 4th of July to all of our American neighbours from Canada!!! In order to help you celebrate your special holiday, today I’m sharing this adorable Fourth of July Gnome (KLM Digital Designs) image and sentiment from KLM Digital Designs new release.

I printed out the main image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my HP Printer, coloured it in and then fussy cut around it.

For the background, I started out with Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. White Paper. Then I used sponge daubers and a mixture of Kraftin’ Kimmie inks listed below for the first step. I just covered the 5.5″ x 4.25″ panel randomly. Then I used a VersaMarker Watermark Pen to create some firework strokes and Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder which I heat embossed. Then, I added in my darker ink colours using Tim Holtz Distress inks to make the embossed colours pop. Next, I added in some more Embossing Powders and heat embossed them as well. I found this still wasn’t quite bright enough for fireworks, so I then added multiple Stickles colours to add some sparkle. Who doesn’t love a card with lots of sparkle??? LOL!

Once the background was dry, I mounted it onto some white cardstock cut at 5.5″ x 4.25″. I popped up the image and sentiment with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape and added some Icicle Stickles to the sparkler in his hand.

Happy Birthday To Ye!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Peg Leg Pete – R088 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Pirates Birthday – F147 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Peg Leg Pete is showing off his map of previous adventures from his pirating days around the Caribbean. He’s gathered quite a treasure of findings. But, when you are a pirate, there is always more places and ships out there to plunder. LOL!

To make my card this week, I used Scrapberry’s – The Pirate’s Treasure (6×6 Paper Collection) paper for the main background which fit onto a card base of 6″ x 6″ perfectly.

I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock and then coloured it in with Copic markers. Next, I fussy cut around the entire image and used a black marker to go around all of the edges.

To create the look of a ship in the background, I cut 2 small pieces of paper from Joy Crafts – Wood Texture and Joy Crafts Tough Textures miniature 4 x 9 designs. Then I joined them both together using 2-sided tape. Next, I ran both pieces through my Cuttlebug using My Creative Time – More Stitched Circles die cut. I popped up both the image and the small half circle background with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape and placed it in the centre of the card.

Once again, I used my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink for the sentiment. I taped down the sentiment onto some scrap red cardstock and bumped it up on the card with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. Lastly, to finish it off, I went around the entire outer edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Rusty Hinge and added a few Kraftin Kimmie – Seashore Dots.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Peg Leg Pete – R088  (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Pirates Birthday – F147 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Rusty Hinge

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Scrapberry’s – The Pirate’s Treasure (6×6 Paper Collection), Joy Crafts – Artist Trading Card – Wood Texture (2-3/8×3-3/8″ – 85mm x 60mm) and Joy Crafts – Artist Trading Card – Tough Textures (2-3/8×3-3/8″ – 85mm x 60mm))

Buddy’s Surprize!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a birthday card using Buddy Bear’s Surprise – S193 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Shhh Party! – H038 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Buddy is not very good at keeping secrets though or spelling! LOL! He is however, ready to bring you presents and party on!

To make my card this week, I started off with a card base of 5.5″ x 4.25″.  I love this background party paper by Echo Park called “It’s Your Birthday”. I cut it the same size as the base card and then used 2-sided tape to attach it to the base. Then I inked around the entire outside edges of the card with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet.

I used My Creative Time – Stitched Squares Inside and Out to cut some Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. Then I used my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black Ink to stamp the image. I coloured in the main image with Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment onto some yellow cardstock with Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and then used Your Next Stamp – Stitched Rectangle Die Set to die cut it out. Next, I ran both my image and sentiment through the Xyron Creative Station to turn them both into stickers. I applied both of these to some Violet cardstock and trimmed a small border. Lastly, I popped up both the image and the sentiment using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

Have A Beary Special Day!

Welcome Back Dreamerland Craft Fans!

Today, I’m sharing a birthday card that I made with Dreamerland Crafts stamp called With My Love – D19024. This little bear is on his way to wish someone a “Beary Good Birthday”!

To make this card I used a base card of 4.25″ x 5.5″. I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI. I coloured in the image and background with Copic markers and then used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around it.

I cut out at rectangle 4.25″ x 5.5″ from Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. paper and then I used various dies and Tim Holtz inks to create the background. I have listed them below. I had die cut templates using the dies which makes it really easy to create the backgrounds.

I stamped the sentiment from Jaded Blossom – Forest Friends using Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and my MISTI onto some Turquoise Cardstock. I used Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder and then heat embossed the powder with Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. It’s Wednesday, and this week, I thought I’d make an inspirational card to share with you using Raggedy Ann-ouncement – R044 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Hang In There – D278 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment.

To make my card this week, I started off with a card base of 5.5″ x 4.25″.  I created the background on Hammermill – Premium Colour cardstock using various stencils, Picket Fence Studio Blender Brushes and Tim Holtz inks which I have listed below. Once the background was finished, I used 2 sided tape and mounted it onto the base card.

I stamped the image  and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and coloured in the main image with Copic markers. I ran the coloured image through my Brother Scan and Cut to create a slim border around it and then went around the edges with Y06 – Yellow and YG25 – Celadon Green to make it blend into the background. Lastly, I popped up the image using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape and created a small shadow below Raggedy Ann.

Birthday Banner Gnome

Today I’m sharing Banner Gnome (KLM Digital Designs) from KLM Digital Designs new release. I thought it would be fun to put the new banner stamp inside a banner. This was such an awesome stamp to play with and it comes with 3 different sentiments, “Happy Birthday” as shown here, “Your Awesome” and “Congratulations”.

When I first started colouring this card, I had something totally different in mind for how I was going to colour the scroll. But, once I created the background, I decided to colour it using bluish green tones for the top and bottom of the large scroll.

I printed out the main image twice onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my HP Printer. I always print using Grayscale because the image won’t smudge when you go to colour. I found that printing out in black sometimes did. I used my brother Scan N’ Cut to cut around 1 of the images. Then fussy cut it where I still needed to. As I mentioned, once before, I’m still learning how to use my new machine.

For the other image, I die cut around it using Penny Black – Paper Scroll and my Cuttlebug. I coloured in the main image with copics. Then I placed the other image that I had cut around earlier over top of it to use it as a mask. I also used some Post-It Note paper to mask off the top and bottom of the main scroll. I used a Picket Fence Studio’s brush and went over the entire background inside the scroll with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Tumbled Glass. Then, I placed Kraftin’ Kimmie – Confetti Stencil over top of everything. I have a large magnetic mat, so I just used some strong magnets to hold everything in place. Then, using the various sized Picket Fence Studio brushes which I labelled in various colours, I used a mixture of Tim Holtz inks to create the background. All of the colours are listed below.

I removed all of the masked pieces and then completed the colouring of the large scroll.

Lastly, I attached the entire image to some Recollections Purple Passions cardstock cut at 5.5″ x 4.25″ and added some small balloons which I had die cut previously using Your Next Stamp – Mini Balloon Trio Set.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiment: Banner Gnome (KLM Digital Designs)

Inks: HP Printer Greyscale, Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Tumbled Glass, Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peacock Feathers, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mermaid Lagoon, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Evergreen Bough, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Cracked Pistachio

BBQ King

Sharing a birthday card I made using Good In The Woods Accessories and Good in the Woods (Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps) for the images. A friend of mine is a BBQ King and has won multiple awards for his prowess at BBQing. I thought these stamps matched him perfectly.

To make the card I started with a base of 5.5″ x 4.25″ white cardstock. Next, I cut the background paper from Your Next Stamp Designer Paper Pad – For the Boys at the same size. I adhered it to the base with double-side tape and then edged around the entire card with Kraftin’ Kimmie – Stormy Sky ink.

I die-cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my Cuttlebug and Your Next Stamp – Stitched Rectangle Die Set. I stamped the images onto the die cut using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black Ink. Next I coloured in the image with Copic Markers and then ran it through my Xyron Creative Station. I adhered this to some red cardstock and created a thin border around it. Lastly, I popped up the image using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape and applied it on top of the background paper.

Happy Bird Day!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Party Girl Florence – S098 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Happy Bird Day – F098 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Florence is all dolled up and ready for a Bird Day party! She’s the centre of attention with all of her bling, balloons, party hat and musical whistle. She’s also has some fancy moves in store for the Flamingo party dance! LOL!

To make my card this week, I started off with a white card base of 6″ x 6″. For the background paper, I used Forever in Time – Flamingo – Perfect Prints. I coloured the little party hats onto the Flamingos using PrismaColor Premier Pencils. Then I added some white pearls around their necks with Sharpie Water Based Paint – White – Extra Fine Point. Lastly, I edged around the paper with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Cracked Pistachio.

I used my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – More Stitched Circles MCT-D136 to die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card Stock and then my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the image. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and then used Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles to cut out the pink and aqua circles. I ran the coloured image through a Xyron Creative Station to make it into a sticker and then mounted it onto the pink cardstock. Then I popped up this piece and the aqua circle with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. I went around the edge of the pink circle with Hibiscus – Stickles and used Crystal – Stickles for the necklace around Florence’s neck.

I stamped the sentiment onto Yellow cardstock and the ran it through my Xyron Create a Sticker. I mounted that onto some pink cardstock and then popped up this piece and the aqua cardstock with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. I went around the pink cardstock with Hibiscus Stickles. To finish off the card, I added some Crafts – pop dots.
