Music Speaks!

Today I’m sharing a music card using KLM Digital DesignKeyboard Gnome from the new March release. This image also comes with 2 more sentiments, “Turn up the volume close your eyes and let the music take over your soul” and “Music is the voice of the soul”. No words were truer spoken, music is all around us and there is something out there for everyone to listen to!

Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock was used to create a 5.5″ x 5.5″ card base. Anna Griffin – Musical Cardstock & Vellum paper was cut to the same size as the base card. Using a Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint pen, I inked around all of the edges and then adhered it to the base card with double-sided tape. Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock was die cut 5 times using my Cuttlebug and Joy! Crafts – Cutting and Embossing Dance to the Music die. Using liquid glue, I applied each layer on top of each other and then glued it to the bottom of the card base.

The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in the image and fussy cut around it and the sentiment. The edges of the image were inked around with a black marker and the sentiments were adhered onto Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock and then fussy cut again.

The card was now ready to assemble. I added 3M VHB – 2 sided pop-up tape to the backs of the sentiments and image and then popped up all of the pieces onto the card to complete it.

You Did It!

Today I’m sharing a graduation card using KLM Digital DesignGraduation Gnome II from the new March release. This image also comes with 2 more sentiments, “Be the change that you want to see in this world” and “And so the adventure begins”. This little gnome is glowing with pride after graduating and accepting his diploma. Congratulations to all of the new graduates out there this year!

Recollections – Black cardstock was cut to the size of 4″ x 4-5/8″ and Recollections – Patterned paper was cut to the size of 3″ x 4.25″ using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers and my Cuttlebug. Using a Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint pen, I inked around all of the edges of both pieces.

The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in the image and fussy cut around it and the sentiment. Both were adhered onto Recollections Black cardstock and then fussy cut again.

Let Your Voice Sing!!

Today, I’m sharing a Christmas card that I made using Dreamerland Crafts stamps called Let Your Voice Sing – D15205 for the main image and Sentiment – Holiday Sentiments 003 – DS163003. Growing up we always had so much fun gathering with friends and family and singing Christmas carols.

To create this card I began by making a base of 5.5″ x 4.25″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock was cut to be the same size as the base and then adhered to the card using double-sided tape. Using my Cuttlebug and Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, I embossed the music design with a Cuttlebug – ProvoCraft – Allegro embossing folder. I cut it down to the size of 5.25″ x 4″ and adhered it directly to the base card.

Utilizing the Cuttlebug again and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock, the die-cut for the image was cut out with Spellbinders – Elegant Ovals. With a MISTI, the main image was stamped onto the die cut. It was coloured in and then a Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint pen was used to colour in the fancy border surrounding the image. The sentiment was stamped with my MISTI and VersaMark ink. Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing powder was applied to the ink and then heat embossed using a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. I fussy cut around the sentiment. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the sentiment and coloured image and they were both popped up onto the card. To finish the card off, I applied Dress It Up – Glitter Holly buttons with liquid glue from their Holiday Collection.

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Let Your Voice Sing – D15205 – Dreamerland Crafts

Sentiment: Sentiments – Holiday Sentiments 003 – DS163003 – Dreamerland Crafts

Good Times!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Bird Song – TDG016  for the main image and Good Times – FDG014 for the sentiment. These little birdie friends know how to whistle a tune. Unfortunately, I myself never mastered how to whistle! I’ve tried over the years, but just can’t seem to do it. LOL!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″.  I used Scrapbook.com – Brights Smooth Cardstock for the background paper. This paper is great because it’s already cut to size which makes it so easy. I applied it to the base using double-sided tape. Using my Cuttlebug and Your Next Die – Stitched Frame Snowfall Hill die set, I die cut the centre piece from Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and the frame from Crafter’s Companion – Luxury Cardstock – Gold.

With my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock and the sentiment onto Recollections – White cardstock. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and then added some Stickles – Diamond and Stickles – Waterfall to the parts of the snow to make it sparkly. Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen was used to create the snow in the sky. To make the eyes stand out a little more, I used Sakura Glaze – Black and then added a white dot using Gelly Roll Sakura #5 Pen. Once the stickles were dry, I turned the coloured image and frame over and taped them together on the back with some Scotch tape to keep the 2 pieces together. U-line double-sided tape was then applied and I turned it over again and popped it up onto the card. The sentiment was die cut using my Cuttlebug and Essentials by Tattered Lace Dies – Easel Slider. I inked around the edges with Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint pen, added U-Line double-sided tape to the top half of the sentiment and added it on top of the image. Lastly I added some YNS Gumdrops – White Sugar and Sparkle to complete the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Bird Song – TDG016 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Good Times – FDG014 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Today, I’m featuring this adorable dragon image from Lee Holland Art called Reindeer Antlers Christmas Dragon. Thank you Lee Holland Art for sponsoring us and having such amazing fun designs to choose from. I love all of your little dragons.

For the base card, I used AC Cardstock – White and cut it and scored it to be 6″ x 6″. For the background, I cut Creative Memories – Mermaid Cove Designer Paper to the same size as the base card. The image using HP High Quality Grayscale was printed onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. Using my Cuttlebug and Essentials by Tattered Lace Dies – Easel Slider dies, the printed image and Hot Buy – Recollections Ombre Brights Paper were both die cut. The sentiment was stamped using my Misti, VersaMark Ink and sentiment stamps from Lawn Fawn – “Offset Sayings – Christmas” and Lawn Fawn “Winter Skies”. Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing powder was applied to the stamped sentiments and then heat set with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool.

I cut the sentiment down to be 3-3/8″ x 1-2/8″ and then used W R Memory Keepers – Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper to create .25″ corners. Using a Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint pen, I went around all of the edges of the cuts with the exception of the image die cut. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and then I used a Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen to create the snow in the sky and a combination of Stickles – Crystal, Stickles – Waterfall and Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff which was applied prior to the Stickles being added.

The card was now ready to be assembled. I applied U-Line double-sided tape to the backs of the coloured image and cut frame to pop them up. I doubled up the tape for behind the sentiment. The base paper was applied directly to the card base using double-sided tape. I peeled off the tape from the backings of the elements and popped them all up onto the base card to finish it off.

To make this card I used a base of 6″ x 6″ using AC Cardstock – White. I cut the background paper to the same size using Recollections – Glisten and Glow paper and then using a Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint pen, I outlined all sides. This was added directly to the base card using double-sided tape. Using my Cuttlebug and dies from Gina Marie Designs – Loopy Oval, the frame was cut out of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I stamped the image using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto the die cut and then using the Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint pen, I inked around all of the outside edges. I coloured the image in with Copic markers and then applied Ranger – Emboss It Pen Clear to the fur trims for the hat and clothing. I applied WOW! Butterflies!!

Sharing a few cards I made today using Butterfly Whimsy – 2010 Elusive Images Stamp and a mixture of Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Inks and Tim Holtz Alcohol Lift Ink. I thought it would be fun to play with this technique. I used a little too much of the Alcohol inks and therefore I embossed the colourful card with Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder.

To make my cards, I first started out with some Yupo paper, the alcohol inks listed below, a blending tool and some blending solution. I kept adding colour and daubing the paper until I was satisfied with the background. I arranged the stamps in my MISTI and then applied some Tim Holtz Alcohol Lift-Ink to the stamps and stamped it onto the coloured Yupo paper. I removed this and then immediately placed my Hammermill paper which was cut to the same size of 5.5″ x 4.25″ into the MISTI in the same position and pressed down with the same stamps. This gave me my second card.

I added some purple spatters to the second card and then die cut both cards using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers and then placed it onto The Paper Studio – Primary Base Colours 4.25″ x 5.5″ using double-sided tape. To finish off the card, I used some Kraftin’ Kimmie Festive Dots.

To finish off the first card, I used a card base of 5.5″ x 4.25″ Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint was used to ink around the edges of the base card and then I applied double-sided tape to the back of the Yupo paper and applied it directly to the base.

Here are the 2 finished cards, side by side.

Card Recipe:

Stamps and Sentiment: Butterfly Whimsy – 2010 Elusive Images

Inks: Tim Holtz Alcohol Lift, VersaMark

Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Inks: Wild Plum, Purple Twilight, Raspberry, Sunset Orange, Sail Boat Blue, Stream, Blending Solution

Paper: Tim Holtz® Alcohol Ink Yupo® Cardstock, Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb., The Paper Studio – Primary Base Colours 4.25″ x 5.5″

Embossing Powder: Ranger Super Fine Gold

Dies: My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers

Miscellaneous: Kraftin’ Kimmie Festive Dots, Cuttlebug, Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint, Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool

Hope you like it and have a great week!

Happy Birthday Flower Frame

Today, I’m sharing Floral Window 1 from KLM Digital Designs January Release. The image comes with 3 different sentiments, “You’re so Sweet”, “You’re the Best” and “Happy Birthday”. I really love how the frame comes with this image. It makes it so easy to create cards for multiple occasions and the design makes it so easy to make a quick card for someone special.

To make the card, I printed out the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my HP Printer. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and then I used my Brother Scan ‘N Cut to cut around the image. A black marker was used to go around all of the edges of the flower and outer leaf. The image frame was coloured in with Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint.

For the base card, Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. was folded to the size of 5.5″ x 5.5″. I cut Heartfelt Creations – Winter’s Eve Collection paper to the same size as the base card. I inked around the edges with Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint and adhered it directly to the base using double-sided tape. Hot Buy Craft Smart – Holiday Glitz Glitter Paper was die cut with my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out and attached with double-sided tape. The main image was popped up using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. A little bit of Stickles – Yellow was added to the centre of the flower and some dots were added to finish off the card.

Beautiful Mindset

Today I’m sharing a CAS card that I made using  Nesting Bird (KLM Digital Designs).  This image from KLM Digital Designs new August release comes with 3 beautiful sentiments “Create Your Own Sunshine” and “Hope You Have A Beautiful Day” and the one I’ve featured with my card. These sentiments and stamp could be used for an Inspirational or Birthday Card! I just love the feeling of peace that this image gives me.

The image and sentiment were printed out with my HP Printer onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using High Quality Grayscale. This prevents the image from smearing when you go to colour it in. The image and sentiment were die cut with my Cutttlebug and dies from Essentials by Tattered Lace Dies – Easel Slider. The base of the card is 5.5″ x 5.5″. I cut some Momenta – Cardstock at the same size. To go around the background paper and die cuts, a Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint marker was used. This helps give the illusion that it is mounted on gold paper. I adhered the background directly to the base card with glue so that I could move it into place easier.

The image was coloured in with Copic markers and for the eye of the bird a Sakura Glaze – Black pen was used. Then, the completed image was glued directly on top of the background. The sentiment was popped up with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. To finish off the card, some Kraftin’ Kimmie – Rainy Day Dots were added.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiment: Nesting Bird (KLM Digital Designs)

Inks: HP Printer High Quality Grayscale, Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint, Sakura Glaze – Black

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Momenta – Cardstock

Die Cuts: Essentials by Tattered Lace Dies – Easel Slider

Miscellaneous: Kraftin’ Kimmie – Rainy Day Dots, 3M VHB – 2 sided tape, Cuttlebug

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Flowers: BV17, BV13, BV11, BV000, E15, Y38, Y18, Y04

Leaves: BG99, BG93, G21, YG23

Bird: E99, E97, YR20, YR16, YR15, YR12, Y32, B39, B14, B12, B06, B05, BG01, C8, C5, C3, C1, C0, Rubbing Alcohol, Q-Tip

Magical Day!

Hi There! Today, I’m sharing this month’s lesson all completed from Kit and Clowder July 2020 Markers class called “Once Upon a Time”.  The image is by artist Connie Fong. There were so many new techniques learned in this month’s video taught by Alyce Keegan. I love these lessons, because you can stop and start the videos at any time and repeat what Alyce is teaching you.

I had fun colouring in all of the background, but, then my worst nightmare started. I had cleaned all of my markers and made sure they were all full before clouring in the dress, hair and skin. Unfortunately, I ran into a few problems with my markers when I went to colour in the skin tones. For some crazy reason, they decided to get icky when blending the colours. First I tried using a Copic Colorless blender to fix it, but that didn’t really help. I really didn’t want to start over from the very beginning, so I looked up the conversion chart on the Kit and Clowder site for Copic Markers to Prismacolor Pencils. I used that conversion and coloured over the markers with the pencils for the skin tones. Then, I re-outlined her face and arms with a Pigma Micron 005 black marker after all of the colouring was completed.

I also used a PrismaColor Primiere White pencil to make some of the highlights in the folds brighter on the edges.

To put the card together, I used Kraftin’ Kimmie – Magical Friends for the sentiment. I really love the Creative Memories – Mermaid Cove Designer Paper Pack background for this image. It blended in so well. I edged around the card with Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint. Lastly, to finish off the card, I fussy cut around the image and popped it up with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape and added Craft – Rhinestone Stickers – 02 -3048783 on top of the card in random places to give it some bling.

Hope you like it!

Simple Pleasures of Life

Today I’m sharing Friends with Nature (KLM Digital Designs) image and sentiments from KLM Digital Designs new release.  Sometime we have to just sit back and relax and enjoy the beauty of nature surrounding us. That’s what these 2 little friends are doing on this bright summer’s day.

The main image and sentiment were printed onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using a HP Printer. The main image was coloured in with Copic markers. Then a second image image was printed out onto regular copy paper and my Brother Scan and Cut was used to cut directly around the image so that it could be used as a mask. I have a magnetic cutting board, so I placed the close-cropped image overtop of my coloured image with small magnets. Then a cloud stencil, which I had created using Avery Elle’s Pierced Clouds Die and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean was used to create the clouds in the blue sky. After colouring the grass, a little piece of rag and some rubbing alcohol were used to create the texture in the grass. Once the colouring was completed, a Pigma Micron 005 black marker was used to outline the main image and make the lines a little thicker.

For the main background, I used a white card base of 6″ x 6″. Momenta – Cardstock was used for the main background, cut at the same size as the base and then inked all around the 4 edges with Kraftin’ Kimmie – Purple Pansy Ink. Then a purple ribbon was added. The background paper was then mounted onto the base card using 2-sided tape.

For the sentiment, I used My Creative Time – More Stitched Edges and Cuttlebug to die cut around it. I die-cut the coloured image with My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out. Then both the sentiment and the coloured image were edged around on all sides using a Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint to give the illusion that it was mounted onto gold paper.

Both the image and sentiments were popped up with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to complete the card.

The Song of Birds

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Bluebird – TLF015 from High Hopes Rubber Stamps new release for the main image and Kiss of the Sun – H223 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. I just fell in love with this image and sentiment and knew it was the perfect combination for a slim line card.

Closer Look: Blue Bird

Closer Look: Poem

For my card this week, I stamped the images and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. The main image was die cut using my Cuttlebug and Essentials by Tattered Lace Dies – Easel Slider. The sentiment was die cut using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers. The image was coloured in with Copic markers. Once all of the colouring was completed, I went around all of the die cuts with a Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint pen.

I decided to make this a slim line card starting out with a white card base sized at 8.75″ x 4″. I just received some new Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders and just had to try them out. So I cut some Monte Marte – Watercolour Book – 190 GSM paper the same size and started playing. This background is the one that I decided to go with. I just loved the way it picked up some of the same colours as the flowers. The powder was easy to use. You just sprinkle some powder on the paper and spritz with water. You can’t really make it out in the photo, but the paper actually has a beautiful pearlesque look to it. I also went around all of the sides of the base with the Sharpie pen as well. I then popped up the sentiment and coloured image with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape and added some embellishments.

When I went to decorate the little flower embellishments with Stickles – Yellow, some accidentally went onto my background paper.  I decided I really liked the look and then just added it everywhere using the tip of my stylus.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Bluebird – TLF015  (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

All Dreams Come True

It’s Wednesday, and this week, High Hopes Rubber Stamps new release Dreamy Willa – SLF010 is looking up into the stars and sharing this special moment with her little friend. I thought All Dreams Come True – G011 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) was the perfect sentiment to go with this adorable new image. Sometimes it’s nice to be just like Willa and just gaze up at the stars and just live in the peace and tranquility of the moment. Have you ever done this? I know I have.

To make my card this week, I started out with a base card of 6″ x 6″. Then I cut the main background the same size using Hot Buy Craft Smart – Moon Flower Magic. I just fell in love with this paper and thought it went so perfectly with the new image. I also die cut some miscellaneous cardstock that I had which had little stars and is navy blue using My Creative Time – Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies. I also, die cut the main image with the same set of dies out of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The sentiment was die cut using My Creative Time – Ribbon End Dies. All of the die cuts were then edged with Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint.

Both the main image and sentiment were stamped using my Misti and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. The image was then coloured in using Copic markers which I have listed below. Once the image was all coloured, I bumped up the background, image and sentiment with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

Father’s Day – Come Sail Away!

Today I’m sharing a Father’s Day card that I made using  Come Sail Away (KLM Digital Designs).  It comes with multiple sentiments, but I decided to choose the sentiment from Father Gnome and Kids & Sentiments (KLM Digital Designs). You could also use this image to make a Special birthday card, Bon Voyage or Inspirational card too!

For this card, I printed out the image with my HP Printer onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Grayscale. I used Copic markers to colour in the image. For the water, I used a variety of markers and created the movement of the water by just wisping them over the paper very gently. Then I added in some white caps using Sharpie Water Based Paint – White – Extra Fine Point. I did this by just dabbing the paper with tight dots of ink.

For the sand and sky, I used a special technique that I saw on-line, using a Q-Tip and Colorless blender Re-Inker to wet my background and then adding in the colours also using a Q-Tip and Copic Re-inkers. This was the first time I ever tried this and I just love how it turned out.

After the image was coloured in, I went around the edges of both the card and the image with Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint. Then I mounted the image on top of the background on a 5.5″ x 4.25″ card base using some 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Come Sail Away (KLM Digital Designs)

Sentiment: Father Gnome and Kids & Sentiments (KLM Digital Designs)

Inks: HP Printer Grayscale, Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint, Sharpie Water Based Paint – White – Extra Fine Point

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, KaiserCraft – High Tide – 6.5″ Paper Pad

Die Cuts:  Your Next Stamp – Stitched Rectangle Die Set (YNSD214)

Tools: 3M VHB – 2 sided tape, Cuttlebug

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Water: BG72, BG70, B93, B91, B52, B41, B000, C1, Y000, Colorless Blender, Sharpie Water Based Paint – White – Extra Fine Point

Rocks: N4, N2, N1, N0, E30

Sky: B0000, B000, Colorless Blender

Sand: E30, E31, Colorless Blender

Cloud: BG70, C0, Colorless Blender

Sailboat: B39, B37, C1, C0, E23, Colorless Blender

Hope you like it and have a great week!

Year of the Pig 2019

Hi There,

Happy Chinese New Year! It’s the year of the pig and to celebrate it this year I made all of my friends and a few co-workers a special card! 12 of them in total this year.

For the front of the card I used Polkadoodles Piggy 1 from their Work & Play10 Country Life – Digital Craft Collection. I created the sentiment using WordArt in Microsoft Word.

Here is a close-up of one card.

This is a close-up of the little pig.

On the inside I used my MISTI (Most Incredible Stamping Tool) and stamped the sentiments using Versa Fine – Onyx Black and Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder using Craftin Desert Diva’s Dragon Festival Stamps.

Dragon boat is also from the same stamp set. Little pig is from Lawn Fawn LF-1595 – Hay There!

This is a close-up of the dragon boat and little pig.

Magical Friends

Hi There!

I had a chance to work with the new Kraftin’ Kimmie – Magical Friends stamps. It was so much fun and I hope you love my creation.

I know that we all would love a cleaning fairy, so I used the sentiment from Kraftin’ Kimmie – Lorretta Laundry stamp set on the front.

I also thought the little Gnome and squirrel on the stump from the Kraftin’ Kimmie – Whimsical Gnomes stamp set fit well with the little scene that I was trying to create.

If you look closely at the paper in the background, you will also see some little fairies playing in the flowers.

Of course, I couldn’t resist putting in this little fairy playing with her kitty on the inside, which is also part of the new Kraftin’ Kimmie Magical Friends stamps set.

Here is a close-up:

She has no intention of doing any housework at all! LOL! Instead she is enjoying her day!!! Sentiments surrounding the image are from the new Kraftin’ Kimmie – Magical Friends stamps set.

Birthday wishes are from Kraftin’ Kimmie – Kick Assy Birthday stamp set.

All images were stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my  MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool for precision stamping and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. Then coloured in with Copic markers.

Sentiments were stamped with Versa Fine – Onyx Black and Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder.

Edged around die cuts and main card with Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint.

Background Paper: Unique Papercrafting Graphics 45 – Fairie Dust Collection.

Die Cuts: Your Next Stamp – Stitched Rectangle Die Set (YNSD214); Spellbinders – Die D-Lites Conversation Bubble 3 Etched Dies

Hope you like it!

Wedding Card for Cousin 2017

Sharing the card I made for my younger cousin who just got married. It was a beautiful wedding and everyone had a lot of fun.

It was great to see all of the family and meet a lot of my cousins that I haven’t seen in years and to see all of their children too!

For their wedding card, I wanted it to be special, so I thought a Snow Globe would be something unique for them to have. I just wish that I had used a little more glitter for the snow.

I started off making my card by stamping the images onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink.

Used Copic markers to colour in the image and then I fussy cut around them to add them to the background. I stamped the top of the wedding dress and part of the veil again using glitter paper and added it to the image as well.

For the background I first cut out the circle from Strathmore Bristol Paper – Vellum Surface – 100 lb. using my dies listed below and then used Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean for the sky and clouds and Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Mowed Lawn for the grass. Stamped sentiment using Versa Fine – Onyx Black and Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder.

Here is what the image looked like before I created the snow globe.

This is a close up of how it looked inside the globe with the glitter added to it.

Here is the finished card. I’ve added 2 images as my camera didn’t take a very good shot the first time. It’s a little dark in the first image.

Stamp and Sentiment – Peachy Keen Stamps – Matt and Janice Wilson – PK-1360, PKSC-27 March 2014

Die Cut – Marianne Design Collectables – Col1362 – Snow Globe

Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles

Avery Elle – Custom Steel Dies – Made in the USA – D-05-01 PiercedCloudsDie

Sentiment on bottom of the globe – Peel Offs – Script Greetings – 2686-G.

Spectrum Noir – Sparkles – Red Berry, Spectrum Noir – Sparkles – Solar Red.

Used Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint to go around the top circle of the globe which I had cut out with white card stock.

Creatology – Foam Sheet for circle of globe to give it some height.

Creatology – Glitter

Vellum
