Vet Thank You Card

Recently our little girl (cat) Boo was very sick. The amazing staff at Robinson’s Pet Hospital managed to help save her life and make her healthy enough to come back home to us. Since then, she has been doing amazingly well. “Boo” means so much to us and we’re glad that she is back to her old self.

Here is a card that I made to thank the Vet (Dr. Emmanuel Aziz) and his terrific staff.

The little cat is from Local King Rubber Stamps “Kitty Love (4)” and the matching die Kitty Love (S). Coloured the kitty in with a mixture of Copics and Spectrum Noir markers.

The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Diva’s “Tissue Time”. I re-arranged the sentiment so that it would fit on the card.

The tag is from MFT – Die-namics Pierced Fishtail Flags.

Background paper is from DCWV – The Pets Stack 6.5″ x 4.5″ printed cardstock.

To make the eyes shiny, I used Glossy Accents.

The die cut frameĀ was done with my Cuttlebug and the die from Craftin Desert Divas “Banner Dies”.

I usedĀ Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Snowflakes for the snowflake patter and AC Cardstock. After embossing, I used some light sandpaper to make the snowflakes stand out more. Then I added some blue gem stones. To make the snow, I used Gelly Roll Sakura #8 pen.

Christmas Penguins – Igloo card

Hi There,

Back to share a Christmas card that I made this past weekend.

Christmas Penguins - IglooĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Christmas Penguins - Igloo - Close Up

TheĀ adorable penguins are fromĀ Craftin Desert Diva’s “Chill Out” stamp set. I just fell in love with these little characters.

The sentiment is also from the same set.

I stamped the little penguins with Memento Black Tuxedo ink and then coloured them in with a mixture of Copics and Spectrum Noir markers.

To make the eyes shiny, I used Glossy Accents. Also, first coloured in the little tree balls and then added some coloured “Stickles”.

To make the igloo from “Go Canada”, I used Cricut Design Space and my Cricut Explore, black, gray cardstock and Glittered Christmas Cardstock for the white.

The tree to the right of the igloo is from Miss Kate Cuttables. I really love this little tree and with being an .svg file, I can make them all different sizes. Added some Wink of Stella – Glitter White to the snow on the tree. Unfortunately, it does show up that great in this pic.

Added some “Sookwang Be Creative” double sided tape over heavy weight white cardstock by AC Cardstock to make the snow using my Cuttlebug, embossing folderĀ  “D’vine Swirl”. Next, I die cut the snow with Craftin Desert Diva’s “Outdoor Landscape” dies. After that, I peeled off the top layer of the tape and sprinkled DecoArt Glamour DustĀ onto the embossed image. I felt this gave the snow more sparkle.

The die cut border was done with my Cuttlebug and the dies from Craftin Desert Diva’s “Fancy Frame Dies”. The patterned paper is from “Home For Christmas” Paper pad 6″Ā x 6″ pad.

I also used this die cut on the Swirly snow base as well.

The card base is from Recollections “Frost” Card and Envelope set.

Hope you like it!

Valentine’s Card for my Hubby

“Hi There,

Liked to share the card I made for my husband this year with you.

Forever Yours

For the front of the card, I used a design that I found in “Complete Cardmaking – Making Beautiful Cards with your PC” magazine.

The original design by Nancy Malaka can be found on page 27 and is called “Forever Yours”.

I uploaded the .jpg from the CD into Cricut Design Studio for the couple and then used the “Print and Cut” featureĀ to print the image to my printer and then Cricut Explore to cut my image for me. Love this new feature!

Next, I used my Copic and Spectrum Noir markers to colour the image.Ā PrismaColor Premier Pencils were used for creating more contrast and shadow.

Using Cricut Design Studio, I used the following cartridges:

Background: Paper Lace II – Gears

Lettering: Cricut Alphabet

Clock: Picturesque – Clockface Circle Card Seal

Clock Hands: Gypsy Wanderings – Clock Hand

Heart design: Elegant Edges – Heart Scallop Design Label

Scalloped Rectangles – Elegant Edges – Heart Rectangle Design Label (Removed Heart with Design Studio)

The following papers were used:

Scrap paper for wood background.

Light brown for gears background and went around edges with Walnut Stain Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

Greyish Blue was used for large scalloped label behind clock.

Newspaper cardstock for smaller scalloped label behind clock and went around edges with Walnut Stain Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

For the inside of the card:

Todd Valetine 2015

I stamped the images using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Peachy Keen stamps from PKS-04 April 2012 for the clocks and sentiments. Cutting them after they were coloured.

The faces areĀ from PKS-1357 Sweet on You Face Assortment.

Background paper is from K&C Company Kelly Panacci designer paper, KPĀ  Valentine.

Copics and Spectrum Noir pens to colour faces and hearts in background.

Some pink chalk to colour cheeks.

Deer and Xmas Tree

Deer and Tree

To make this card I used Peachy Keen PKSC-11 November 2012Ā for the reindeer and coloured them in with Copics, Spectrum Noir Markers and Prismacolor Premier coloured pencils.

The Christmas tree was stamped from Peachy Keen collection Fun ‘n’ Flair Stamps (FNF-01 Miss Shayla at Christmas Time) and then coloured in with Copic markers. Next, I added in the snow on the branches with Aleene’s Glitter Snow and added some pearls for the Christmas tree balls.

The snow is made with paper from Glitter Paper from ā€œThe Paper Studio Christmas Cardstock Packā€.Ā  I cut it and then offset the curves and highlighted the top lower layer with some blue ink.

The sentiment is made from Peel Offs and the background is from the Recollections Frost card and envelope collection.
