Winter Friends!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Winter Friends – TT048 for the main image and Jingle All the Way – H040, for the sentiment. Snowmen are one of my favourite images to colour and how adorable is this happy snowman singing to his little friend?

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of 6″ x 6″ using AC Cardstock – White. I adhered American Crafts – “Kringle and Co” 6 x 6 in. cardstock to the base front. Red and green cardstock were cut to the sizes of 6″ x 1.25″ and 6″ x 1-1/8″ from some spare paper I had. I adhered the green to the red using double-sided tape and some glue to allow me to centre it. The combined strip was put through a Xyron Create a Sticker to keep it flat. I added this combined strip to the card approximately a .25″ up from the bottom. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Rustic Wilderness was used to ink around all of the edges of the card and it was set aside to dry.

Using my Cuttlebug and paper from Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, I die cut the frame with Gina Marie Designs – Loopy Oval die cuts. The image was stamped onto the die cut using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured in the image and then added the snow in the sky using a Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen. Stickles – Crystal was added to the snow on the ground and along the branches to give it some sparkle.  I set the image to the side to allow the Stickles time to dry.

I cut a piece of Recollections Christmas Ink Jet Printable Glitter Paper to the size of 4″ x 1″. Using my MISTI once again, I stamped the sentiment onto it using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and then cut a fish tail on each end. U-Line double sided tape was added to the back of the sentiment and then it was popped up and centred in between the red and green stripe. U-Line double-sided tape was added to the back of the image and it was popped up onto the card above the sentiment once the Stickles had dried. Lastly, I die cut 2 pinecones and some pine leaves using my Cuttlebug and dies from Stampin’ UP! – Pretty Pines Thinlets die set. Liquid glue was used to pieced them altogether. I adhered these to the 2 upper corners of the card and then applied some Stickles – Crystal to the leaves to finish off the card.

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Santa In Chimney – S202 for the image. Christmas is only a few months away, so I’m busy making more Christmas cards for this year to give away! How about you?

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. DCWV – Holiday Cheer was cut to the same size and applied to the base using double-sided tape. The image was die-cut using Anna Griffin Empress Mini Cutting Machine, My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The image was stamped onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. Once it was coloured in, I applied some Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff to his beard and then heat set it with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool to make it puff up. Stickles – Diamond was applied to the Coat trim and hat, as well as the roof. Stickles – Gold was applied all around the die-cut to create some extra sparkle. Stickles – Star Dust was applied to the insides of the background flowers and some snowflakes.  Once everything was dry, I added some U-Line double-sided tape and popped up the main coloured image onto the base card. For the sentiment, I die cut Recollections Christmas Ink Jet Printable Glitter Paper with the Anna Griffin Empress Mini Cutting Machine using Jolly Quickutz – Deck the Halls limited edition gift set. I applied Scrapbook Adhesives – 3D Foam Strips to the Sentiment and popped it up onto the card to finish it off.

Merry Christmoose, Eh!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas card for some friends overseas using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Canadian Christmas Greeting – R048 for the main image and Merry Christmoose, Eh! for the sentiment. The trees were added in using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Evergreen Tree HLF001 and Evergreen Tree 2 HLF002.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. The sky was added directly to the front of the base panel with a mixture of Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass and Broken China and a Gina K. Designs blending brush. Lawn Fawn – Snowy Sky stencil and Stampin Up – Winter White were added next to create some falling snow in the background. Then, using the same stencil again, Brutus Monroe – Snow Paste was applied to add some glittering snowflakes. The sentiment was stamped onto Recollections Christmas Ink Jet Printable Glitter Paper using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black. The paper was then cut to be 5.5″ x 1″ and I tore along the top of the paper to create snow drifts. I did this once again with a larger size (5.5″ x 2.5″) to create some dimension. U-Line double-sided tape was added to both pieces, with a double-layer on the sentiment piece and they were both popped up onto the base card.

The images were stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Memento – Tuxedo Black for the main image and Memento – Cottage Ivy for the trees. After colouring the images, I fussy cut around all of them and popped up the main image behind the 1st snow hill. Liquid glue was applied behind the trees and they were tucked in behind the larger hill to complete the card.
