Book Worm!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I couldn’t resist making this very easy bookmark using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Book Worm – P100 for the image. My husband I both love to read and with this adorable image, it is quick to create multiple bookmarks quickly. They would also be a great gift for the readers in your life too!

To make my bookmark this week, I stamped the main image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured in the image and I wanted the eyes to stand out. I added in a small line with a Pigma Micron #5 – Black pen and then added some colour to the eyes. To finish the eyes,  I added a little dot of white using a Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen. The image was then fussy cut with a small white border all around it. Crafts – Designer Paper – 02-3093268 was die cut using Die-Namics MFT-489 PCD Fishtail Figs STX and my Anna Griffin Empress Mini Machine. I punched a hole using We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile Eyelet and Snap Punch at the top of the bookmark. We R Memory Keepers Embellishment Makers Basic Tools-Tassel Loom was used to create the tassel along with 3 yards of twine and then 2 6″ pieces of twine.  I wanted the image to lay flat on the bookmark, so I ran it through my Xyron Create a Sticker and then applied it to the die cut. I tied a knot in the twine to join the tassel to the book mark and then added some Ranger Inkssentials – Glossy Accents to the glass lenses to finish it off.

Here is a close-up of the image.

Using my Cricut Explore and Cricut Design Space, I uploaded the images and then cut the pieces out for the cat and wreath.

I decided to add some layers to the wreath using Martha Stuart branch punch and then adding some Xmas Red stickles to make some holly.

For the eyes, I used Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen.  I drew in some eyelashes with Pigma Micron 01 black marker, but you can’t really see them. Thought it would be a cool idea to use black thread for the whiskers to show up.

Sentiment was stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail.

Stamp used is from Jaded Blossom Stamps – Meow and Forever.

Die cuts are from My Creative Time – Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies.

Embossing folder used – Swiss Dots was then used on the scalloped die cut and on oval – Christmas Ornaments on Recollections – Christmas Inkjet Printable Glitter Paper – 8.5 x 11″.

Background paper is from American Crafts – Holiday – 6 x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) paper pack.

Pink Bear Birthday Card

Hi There,

I’m back to share a birthday card that I made for my niece’s birthday.

 

Pink Bear HB in 200 dpi

I used the .svg freebie that I had received from KaDoodle Bugs Designs – Cuddly Pink Bear. I thought this bear was just so adorable.

I imported the file into Cricut Design Space and then used the Cricut Explore to cut all of the pieces.

For the bear, I used the embossing tool because I didn’t want to cut the Mulberry Paper  (Nicole Handmade Mulberry Paper). Instead, I just required the outlines so that I could wet around the images and then tear them a part.

Used my Cuttlebug to do the following:

The circle was cut with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles. – 3rd largest die and Doodlebug Design Inc. –

Sugar Shoppe 6 x 6 paper pad.

Inked around the edges with Dew Drop Memento – Rose Bud.

The scallop was cut with WeR Memory Keepers – Quickutz Nesting Scallops – largest die.

Doily was cut from My Creative Time – Bunch of Stitched Doily Dies.

Used Inkssentials Glossy Accents for the nose and Wink of Stella Gl. White 000 for the hat.

Some stickles for the ice cream sprinkles.

Peel Offs – Happy Birthday Assortment for the sentiment.

Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen was used on the eyes for highlights and stitching around the scallops.

Pigma Micron #5 – Black was used for the eyelashes.
