Do Not Stop!

Today I’m sharing an inspirational card using KLM Digital DesignSlow Ride Gnome from the new February release. This image also comes with 2 more sentiments, “Travel at your own pace” and “Life is a journey, not a race”.  It was hard for me to pick which sentiment to use as I loved them all. They are all so true to life.

Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock was used to create a 5.5″ x 4.25″ card base. I had found Crafts Designer Paper – 02-3080678 at Dollarama and thought this paper was perfect for this card. It was cut to the same size as the base card and adhered with double-sided tape.

The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. With my Cuttlebug, I die cut the image using My Creative Time – Bunch of Fun Circle 3.25″ Dies. The larger circle was die cut using Recollections – Blue Ombre Cardstock and Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting 3.5″ Circle. I trimmed down the sentiment to be 2.25″ x 1.5″. Using what was left on a blending brush that I used for blues, I lightly went over the paper to give it a light blue hue. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salvaged Patina was then inked around the 3 edges.

The image was coloured in with Copic Markers listed below. I printed out another copy of the image onto plain paper and fussy cut around the top portion. I applied some Washi Tape to the back of it to create a hinge and to mask the image. Using a blender brush, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean and Lawn Fawn Cuts – Cloudy Stencil, I created the clouds in the sky.

For the assembly of the card, I added double-sided tape to the back of the sentiment and adhered it directly to the card. U-Line double-sided tape was added to the backs of the larger and smaller circle and both were popped up onto each other and the card. Lastly, to finish off everything, I added in some YNS Gumdrops – Tropical Paradise.

Make Lemonade!

Today I’m sharing an inspirational card using KLM Digital DesignLemon Gnome from the new January release. This image also comes with 2 more sentiments, “I could just Squeeze you!” and “Squeeze the day”.  I’ve always loved lemons and they are good for so many different things, baking, tea and they are high in Vitamin C, just to name a few.

Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock was used to create a 5.5″ x 4.25″ card base. I had found Crafts Designer Paper – 02-3093268 at Dollarama and thought this paper was perfect for this card. I chose 2 patterns from this paper pack and cut the darker pattern to the size of 5.25″ x 2.25″ and the other piece to the size of 5.25″ x 2.75″. Two rectangles were cut out of Recollections – Black cardstock to the size of 5.5″ x 2.75″ and 5.5″ x 3″. With yellow cardstock and my Cuttlebug, I die cut the large oval using Waffle Flower – Additional Oval dies and the larger circle with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles. All of the edges for the patterned pieces and the yellow die cuts were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mustard Seed.

The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. With my Cuttlebug, I die cut the large oval using Waffle Flower – Additional Oval dies and the smaller circle with My Creative Time – Bunch of Fun Circle Dies. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Squeezed Lemonade was applied to the outer edges of the smaller circle. The image was coloured in with Copic markers.

For the assembly of the card, I applied the 2 patterned pieces together with the black cardstock using double sided tape. I placed the colourful piece down first onto the base card and then the second piece was applied over top of that one. Both were adhered with double-sided tape. The image and the sentiment were both popped up onto the larger oval and larger circle using U-Line Double-Sided tape. I applied U-Line Double-Sided tape to the backs of these combined pieces and then popped them both up onto the card. Finally, I added in some YNS Gumdrops – Tropical Paradise around the sentiment to complete the card.

You’re O-Fish-Ally Awesome!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Finnigan – P117 for the image and O-fish-ally – FLL019 for the sentiment. We have a lot of family and friends that love to fish and when I saw this image and sentiment, I could resist pairing them together.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb., cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. Stampin’ UP! – Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper was cut to be the same size as the base and applied using double-sided tape. Using paper from the same pack, I fussy cut around the school of fish and applied it to the base card using a mixture of double-sided tape and glue. The excess was then trimmed off on the bottom and left side of the card. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Evergreen Bough was applied around all of the outer edges of the card using a finger dauber. Using my Anna Griffin Empress Mini Machine and PinkFresh Studio Essentials – Blanket Stitched Circle, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. Then, using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto the die-cut piece. The sentiment was also stamped using my MISTI onto the same cardstock and then die cut using Gina K Designs – Sentiment Strips. Lastly, I combined the dies from PinkFresh Studio Essentials – Blanket Stitched Circle and Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles to create a frame using the paper from Stampin’ UP! – Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper and Anna Griffin Empress Mini Machine.

The image was coloured in with Copic markers listed below. I coloured in the fish first, then the water. Some sand was added to the bottom of the bowl using a Ranger – Emboss It Pen Clear and Seth Apter – Dirty Sand Embossing Powder. This was heat set with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. I wanted the back part of the sand to appear lighter, so I just dabbed the pen in spots to add in the Embossing Powder after I had coloured it. Lastly, I applied Ranger Inkssentials – Glossy Accents to the inside of the bowl and puddles of water. This was set aside to dry.

Once the Glossy Accents was dry the card was ready to assemble.  I applied some glue to the circle frame I had created earlier and applied it over top of the coloured image circle. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the back of the image and sentiment and they were both popped up onto the background designer papers. I thought these adorable buttons from Buttons Galore & More – Fun in the Sun Collection were perfect for this card. The button backings were removed from the backs of the fish buttons and U-Line double-sided tape was applied to them. I popped up the 3 fish on the card to finish it off.

Jolly Reindeer Cheers!!

Hi everyone…today we are having a sponsor day over at the Passionate Paper Creations & Friends FB group site with Di’s Digi Stamps!! Today I’m using this adorable reindeer image from Di’s Digi Stamps called Jolly Reindeer Cheers.

For the base card, I used AC Cardstock – White and cut it and scored it to be 6″ x 6″. For the background, I applied Craft Consortium – It’s Snome Time (6″ x 6″) to the base using double-sided tape. Green cardstock cut the size of approximately 1″ was added to the bottom using double-sided tape. I added Crafts – Sparkling Stickers – 02-3068629 – Red to Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. to make it more sturdy and then cut 2 pieces, 1″ x 6″ and .75″ x 6″ to add to the top and bottom. I applied double-sided tape to adhere it the card. I ran some gold cardstock from Forever In Time – Glam Glitter Cardstock – Gold Medley cut to the size of 1.25″ x 6″ through my Xyron Create a Sticker. Using my Cuttlebug and Your Next Stamp – Jingle Bell Border Die, I cut the bells out. I peeled off the sticker backing and applied it to the top of my card. Using Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles – I cut out a circle 3.75″ from the same cardstock and using U-Line double-sided tape, I popped it up in the centre of the card background. The same dies were also used to cut a 3.5″ circle out of Craft Consortium – Ink Drops Vivid Craft Papers and this was popped up onto the gold circle using U-Line double-sided tape. Hot Buy Craft Smart – Holiday Glitz Glitter Paper was cut and I ran it through my Xyron Creative Station. This was used to die-cut the sentiment with my Cuttlebug and Jolly Quickutz – Deck the Halls limited edition gift set. The sentiment was die-cut 4 times and stacked on top of each other to create a raised embellishment and placed in the centre of the red and green stripe on the bottom of the card.

I printed out the image using HP High Quality Grayscale onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and then fussy cut. It was popped up onto the smaller circle using U-line double sided tape to complete the card.

For the base card, I used AC Cardstock – White and cut it and scored it to be 6″ x 6″. The image was printed out using HP High Quality Grayscale onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The background paper was cut to the size of 6″ x 6″ using Hot Buy – Recollections – Jewel Tones paper. This was applied directly to the base using double-sided tape. The circles were cut with my Cuttlebug, various colours from Hot Buy – Recollections – Jewel Tones paper and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles. I applied the 1st 2 circles with double-sided tape over top of the snowman background.

Believe!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas card using Believe Snowman – TFL006 and Snow Globe – ULF002 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and North Pole Greetings – GLL005 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. It’s time to start believing the magic of Christmas and the joy that it brings to everyone!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base using AC Cardstock – White cut and folded to 6″ x 6″. The snowflake background is from Lawn Fawn – Let It Shine Snowflakes (6″ x 6″) paper pad. I applied this directly to the base using double-sided tape.

Using Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles and my Cuttlebug, I die cut a 3.75″ circle from Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card paper. With my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the snowman scene image onto it. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and then added some snow to the sky and snowman’s arms using a Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen. Sakura Glaze – Black was added to the eyes of the snowman and birds and the snowman’s mouth. With a Ranger – Emboss It Pen Clear, I added some ink to the top of the Snowman’s hat, sign, icicles, tops of the birdhouses and snow drifts and then heat embossed everything with WOW! Sparkling Snow Embossing Glitter and a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Stickles – Diamond was added as an extra layer to the snow and Wink of Stella – Clear was applied over all the snowman. This was then set aside to dry.

With my MISTI and Memento – Summer Sky ink I stamped the top part of the globe onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card paper. I cleaned off the stamp and this time, I used some Post-it Notes to hide the background inside the globe and inked the braided border for both the top and bottom of the base with Versamark ink. I applied Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing powder and heat embossed it using a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. With my globe image still in place on my MISTI, I removed the snowglobe stamp and added the sentiment turning up both ends of the stamp slightly to give the words some curvature. The sentiment was stamped using Versamark ink and then Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing powder was applied to it and then heat embossed using a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. The base was then coloured in using my Copic markers and a Gelly Roll Stardust – Clear pen was used to colour in the white areas to give it some glitter. I also added some of this pen to the tops of the snowman’s arms. With my scissors, I fussy cut around the entire snow globe.

The card was now ready to assemble. I attached 3M double-side tape to pop up the snow globe onto the main background and then added 3M double-sided tape to the back of the circle and centred it on the top part of the globe. Lastly, to finish off the card, I applied some Nuvo Crystal Drops – Caribbean Ocean, Violet Galaxy and Nuvo Glitter Drops – Sherbert Shimmer to some of the snowflakes on the base card.

Be-Lated Birthday Chicks!!

Sharing a belated birthday card I made for my sister-in-law using Art Impressions – Spring Chicken Set – AiCS40. I really had fun with these cool Chicks! LOL!

Inside of the card.

To make the card, I began with the base of 5.5″ x 4.25″ Hammermill – Premium Colour cardstock. My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and my Cuttlebug were used to die cut Echo Park Paper Co. – My Favorite Winter paper. I just loved this paper and thought it had the look of barn board for the chicken coop. Double-sided tape was applied to the back of the background paper and it was applied directly to the base card. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Aged Mahagony was used to ink around all of the edges of the card. Using Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles dies, I die cut 1 large circle from black cardstock and 1 smaller circle from Doodle Bug Designs Inc. – Down on the Farm paper. I inked around the smaller circle with the same Tim Holtz ink. I applied the 2 circles together using double-sided tape and then added 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to the back of the larger circle and attached it to the background. The speech bubble was die cut with Spellbinders Die D-Lites – Conversation Bubble 4 and my Cuttlebug.

Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, the images were stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock and coloured in with Copic Markers. Once everything was coloured, I fussy cut around both images. I popped up the image on the front with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape and ran the second image through my Xyron Creative Station to make a sticker out of it and placed it on the inside of the card. All of the sentiments were stamped with Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and then embossed with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder. Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Too heated the powder. The sentiment bubble was popped up onto the front of the card with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

Love Lifts Me Up!!

Today, I’m sharing an inspirational slider card that I made using Dreamerland Crafts stamps called Your Love Lifts Me Up – D20001. Love this stamp and image for lifting someone’s spirit up.

To make this card I used a base card of 5.5 x 4.25″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. I cut the background to be the same size using Asuka Studio – Sparkly Sky. I really love this paper. Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and coloured them in with Copic markers. Then, I fussy cut around it leaving a small white border.

I stamped the sentiment using Versa Fine – Onyx Black and embossed it with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder. The little cloud was die cut with my Cuttlebug and Nellie’s Choice – Nature Scene Dies – NSD002 – Sky. Then I used a Picket Fence – Blending Brush that still had some blue ink on it from my last project to give it some colour. I cut a small strip just over a .5″ wide and about 4″ long to be a pull tab. I die cut a circle out of the top background paper with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles and then glued the piece that I cut onto the pull tab. Using 2 layers of 3M VHB – 2 sided tape, I created the path on the back of the background and added some tape where I wanted the tab to stop. I glued 2 small magnets to the back of the cloud and also to the pull tab. (4 in total). Then I used an embossing pillow against the taped sides and over the magnets so that it would glide easier. I added some more double-sided tape to the remainder of the back of the background and then attached it to the card.

Surfing Gabriel!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a masculine card using Surfing Gabriel – TT516 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and No Waves – FR011 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Gabriel is enjoying the waves and the bright skies. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up here so that I can start swimming again too!

To make my card this week, I die cut a square from Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out. A larger square was cut using Waffle Flower – Nesting Square dies and spare blue cardstock. The image and sentiment were both stamped using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured in the image with Copic markers. Then, I created a mask and put it over top of the coloured image and added in my clouds using various Tim Holtz inks listed below and Avery Elle – Pierced Clouds Die (Used to create stencils). To create the spray on the waves, I mixed a little bit of FolkArt – Extreme Glitter Acrylic Paint and Delta Ceramcoat – White paint and applied it to the coloured image using a 1/4″ H.J. Domed Dry Stipple brush. For a little extra sparkle, I added some DecoArt Glamour Dust while the paint was still wet.

Brother Scan and Cut was used to die-cut around the sentiment. Edges were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Blueprint Sketch. A second circle was die cut using Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles out of aqua cardstock and inked with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peacock Feathers.

To assemble the card, I used Recollections – Winter 4.25″ x 5.5 for the base. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean was used to ink around the edges of the card. The coloured image was glued to the larger square and the sentiment was glued to the larger circle. 3M VHB – 2 sided tape was attached to the backs of the larger circle and square and attached to the base card. To finish it off, YNS Gumdrops were added.

Mistletoe Santa Gnome!!

Today, I’m sharing another super adorable gnome from KLM Digital Designs November release called Mistletoe Santa Gnome. The image comes with 3 different sentiments, “Merry Christmas”, which I’ve used on my card and also, “Believe” and “ho-ho-ho”. This Santa gnome is out taking a stroll and enjoying the magic of Christmas and winter.

I decided to colour this Santa in non-traditional colours. To make the card, I printed out the main image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my HP Printer. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the image and coloured it in with Copic markers. Then I applied Nuvo Glitter Accents – Fresh Snowfall to the all of the trimming and set it aside to dry.

I used AC White paper to create the base shape of the card 6″ x 6″. Then I applied Stampin’ Up – Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper cut to the same size directly to the base. I had a spare cut-out from American Crafts – “Holiday” paper in which I had used My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out to die cut the centre. I trimmed it a little bit on all sides to create a border. I took a small scrap of Recollections – Christmas Inkjet Printable Glitter Paper and tore it across the top to imitate snow caps. This I adhered to the back of the die-cut panel. Then, I glued the entire piece down on to the background. I also made sure that I didn’t use any glue towards the tops of the snow.

The sentiment was brought into Microsoft Word and I adjusted the width to be .95″. This allowed me to use the 1″ die from Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles to die cut the sentiment after it was printed out. I inked around the edges of the sentiment with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peacock Feathers and applied Clear – Wink of Stella over top of it to make it sparkle. The snowflakes were all die cut from Signature Collection by Sara Davies – Winter Wonderland Snowflake Quartet.

The remainder of the card was now ready to put together. I glued the Gnome directly to the background paper and moved it slightly under the snow. I added glue to each of the snowflakes and placed them directly onto the backgrounds. Lastly, I popped up the sentiment with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

Sharing a card I made today for a challenge using Super Cool Pals  from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps. I really love anything Christmas and winter related and who couldn’t resist this adorable snowman and little fox?

To make my card, I started out by stamping the image using my MISTI and Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured the image with Copic markers and then fussy cut around it. I die cut the background paper using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies. It’s from Stampin Up’, but I received it in a Mystery Box, so I’m not sure what paper pack it comes from. Then I tore up some Recollections – Christmas Inkjet Printable Glitter Paper and taped it to the bottom of the panel.

The snowflake was die cut using Hot Buy Craft Smart – Holiday Glitz Glitter Paper 12″ x 12″ and Tim Holtz – Sizzix Thinlets – Paper Snow Flakes. I ran the paper and my finished coloured image through my Xyron Creative Station and also the Holiday Glitz paper was put through it as well before I die cut it. This allowed me to make stickers out of both items. For the sentiment, I used my MISTI, Versa Fine – Onyx Black and then embossed it with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder. This was then heat embossed with my Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Once this was done, I die-cut the sentiment with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles and edged all around it with Kraftin’ Kimmie – Lovely Lagoon Ink. I also edged all around the snowy background with the same ink.

For the assembly, I started out using the base from Recollections -Christmas Cards and Envelopes set at 5.5″ x 4.25″. Using double-sided tape, I  adhered the snowy background to the base. Then I added my main image and snowflake. The sentiment was popped up using some 3M VHB – 2 sided tape and Stickles – Diamond glitter was added to parts of the snow to finish the card off.

Time to Smell the Flowers!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Daffodil Bunny – SLF006 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image from the new August 2020 release and Smell The Flowers – G189 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This adorable little bunny is taking time out to smell the flowers. We have a really nice garden of flowers that my husband takes care of. I’m not a green thumb at all. LOL! It’s always nice to take a moment and enjoy the beauty of them.

To make my card this week, I started out with a simple white card base, sized at 6″ x 6″. The base background was also cut at 6″ x 6″ using Craft Consortium – Cottage Garden paper and then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. I just thought this paper went so well with this adorable image. I added the 2 colours of ribbon with some 2-sided tape and then adhered the entire background paper to the base with 2-sided tape.

The scalloped circle and inside image circle were both die cut using my Cuttlebug and Craftin Desert Diva’s Stitched in Circle Dies. The circle in between the 2 of them was die cut with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles. The edges of the large scalloped circle were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry. For the sentiment, My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies were used. The die was larger in depth, so I just die cut one side and then turned it around and only put it part way through my Cuttlebug to cut the other edge. It too, was then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. The image was coloured with Copic Markers.

To assemble the remainder of the card, the mid circle was attached directly to the large scalloped circle and then popped up with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. The image and sentiment were popped up on top with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape as well.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Daffodil Bunny – SLF006 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Gnome For the Holidays

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Snowy Gnome – TLF024 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image from the new August 2020 release and From Our Gnome – GLL001 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This little gnome has gone home for the holidays to celebrate with friends and family. As you can see there are a lot of activities going on in Gnome Town. This little gnome has his snowballs ready for the next snowball fun fight! LOL! While waiting for the other team to get ready, he’s decided to take a little break and enjoy nature with his little cardinal friends. Then, let the fun begin!!!

To make my card this week, I started out with a simple white card base, sized at 6″ x 6″. I cut some dark blue cardstock, just slightly smaller and adhered it to the card with Tombow Mutli-Liquid Glue. I just love this paper from PhotoPlay called Gnome for the Holidays Christmas. I thought it went perfectly with this new stamp. I cut it at about 5.75″ x 5.75″. Then I glued it to the blue paper.

I die cut multiple circles in a variety of sizes using a mixture of My Creative Time – More Stitched Circles and Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles using dark blue and red cardstock and also Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card for the main image.

The image was stamped onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock circle using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black. It was then coloured it in with Copic markers. For the snow, I used Recollections – Christmas Snow Paste, Martha Stewart Crafts Glitter – Crystal Fine and a spatula and let it dry overnight. Then  Stickles – Diamond was added onto the top of it. For the sky a mixture of 2 Gel pens were used and then a little bit of Stickles – Diamond to add some glitter to it. I was trying to get it to match the background paper. Once the Stickles was dry, I glued the bottom 2 layers of circles together and then the top 2 circles.  Both were done separately. The sentiment was stamped with Versa Mark and then embossed with Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail and heated with Marvy Uchida Embossing Heat Tool. I fussy cut around the sentiment and glued it directly on top of some red cardstock. Then I cut around that as well.

To complete the card I popped up the bottom circles, top circles with coloured image and sentiment with the 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

Lastly, I added some more sparkle with Stickles – Diamond by adding it to the base of the card in random places.

Happy Bird Day!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Party Girl Florence – S098 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Happy Bird Day – F098 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Florence is all dolled up and ready for a Bird Day party! She’s the centre of attention with all of her bling, balloons, party hat and musical whistle. She’s also has some fancy moves in store for the Flamingo party dance! LOL!

To make my card this week, I started off with a white card base of 6″ x 6″. For the background paper, I used Forever in Time – Flamingo – Perfect Prints. I coloured the little party hats onto the Flamingos using PrismaColor Premier Pencils. Then I added some white pearls around their necks with Sharpie Water Based Paint – White – Extra Fine Point. Lastly, I edged around the paper with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Cracked Pistachio.

I used my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – More Stitched Circles MCT-D136 to die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card Stock and then my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the image. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and then used Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles to cut out the pink and aqua circles. I ran the coloured image through a Xyron Creative Station to make it into a sticker and then mounted it onto the pink cardstock. Then I popped up this piece and the aqua circle with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. I went around the edge of the pink circle with Hibiscus – Stickles and used Crystal – Stickles for the necklace around Florence’s neck.

I stamped the sentiment onto Yellow cardstock and the ran it through my Xyron Create a Sticker. I mounted that onto some pink cardstock and then popped up this piece and the aqua cardstock with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. I went around the pink cardstock with Hibiscus Stickles. Greatest Fisherman

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Norman – Q038 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Worlds Greatest Fisherman – H159 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Norman is very happy today as he caught a magnificent Lobster. My dad LOVES fishing and can’t wait to go fishing again. Hopefully, that time will come soon and then he’ll be smiling just like Norman with his big catch of the day!

To make my card this week, I started off with a card base of 5.5″ x 4.25″. I used Belle Blvd – Secrets of the Sea paper for the main background.

I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and then die cut it with my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – More Stitched Circles. I cut a slightly larger circle out of Orange cardstock with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles and glued it down on top of the background paper. I coloured in the background using a variety of Copic Refill inks, Colorless Blender and a Q-Tip which I used to apply the colours. For the water, I wisped several colours back and forth and then added some Copic Colorless Blender and wisped the colours one last time. Lastly, I added some white caps by dabbing Sharpie Water Based Paint – White – Extra Fine Point onto the surface. Butterfly Kisses!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Bessie Buggies Bloom – S173 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Butterfly Kisses – D007 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Bessie is all set for Spring and flowers blooming. I’m not very good with flowers, but my husband has a green thumb and is really good at keeping our flower garden looking beautiful every year.

To make this card I started off with a base card of 6″ x 6″. I fell in love with this background paper as it suited the sentiment and the darling little butterfly “Bessie” so well. I tried to colour Bessie’s wings and outfit to match the colours of the other butterflies in the background.

Once the image was coloured, I added some Wink of Stella – Clear to the wings. Unfortunately, it doesn’t show up in the picture. I die cut the finished image using my Cuttlebug and circle dies and then I die cut a black circle to layer it onto. I thought this made the image pop. I stamped the sentiment and also layered that onto some black cardstock. I then popped up the sentiment and the image with 3M VHB – 2 sides tape. To finish off the card, I inked around all of the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Pine Needles.

Eek! You’re How Old???

Today I’m sharing a birthday card that I made for my sister-in-law whose nickname is “Kitty”. I have a lot of fun trying to come up with new creations with cats for her birthday each year. This year, I decided to use Going Catty – DP1021 (Clearly Whimsy Stamps), for my main image on the front of the card. Shown below is how it looked before I placed the die cut from Peek A Boo Poppers (YNSD219) – (#Your Next Die) over top of it.

To create the die-cut, I first used Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles to cut out the main image and then again to cut out the pop-out die cut using Echo Park Paper Co. – Imagine That. I then added glue all around the outside of the circle and glued the two pieces together as shown below.

I created a card base 5.5″ x 4.25″ and then mounted paper from Doodle Bug Designs Inc. – Sugar Shoppe. I popped up the circle previously cut out with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. I used the sentiment from the same Whimsy Stamp Set. I embossed it using VersaMark and Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail. Then I cut it out using Ribbon End Dies – My Creative Time. Lastly, I edged around all of the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry. Shown below is the card with the pop-up closed.

This is the front of the card with the pop-up open.

On the inside of the card, I used the image from Birthday Critters – 30-466 (Penny Black) and sentiment from
Whatnot Sentiments Set Twelve – CYNS638 (#Your Next Stamp).

All images were stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI.

Fright Night! Beware!!!!

Welcome High Hopes Rubber Stamps Fans!

It’s Wednesday, and this month at High Hopes Rubber Stamps we are celebrating Hallowe’en.  This week, I used Monty Q109  (High Hopes Rubber Stamps).

I thought it would be fun to make him come out of a scary forest with the full moon behind him. I darkened the Birch trees in the background with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Hickory Smoke so that it would look like they were further in the background. Hallowe’en is coming and Monty is ready for a frightfully good time! Beware!!!!

Wedding Card for Cousin 2017

Sharing the card I made for my younger cousin who just got married. It was a beautiful wedding and everyone had a lot of fun.

It was great to see all of the family and meet a lot of my cousins that I haven’t seen in years and to see all of their children too!

For their wedding card, I wanted it to be special, so I thought a Snow Globe would be something unique for them to have. I just wish that I had used a little more glitter for the snow.

I started off making my card by stamping the images onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink.

Used Copic markers to colour in the image and then I fussy cut around them to add them to the background. I stamped the top of the wedding dress and part of the veil again using glitter paper and added it to the image as well.

For the background I first cut out the circle from Strathmore Bristol Paper – Vellum Surface – 100 lb. using my dies listed below and then used Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean for the sky and clouds and Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Mowed Lawn for the grass. Stamped sentiment using Versa Fine – Onyx Black and Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder.

Here is what the image looked like before I created the snow globe.

This is a close up of how it looked inside the globe with the glitter added to it.

Here is the finished card. I’ve added 2 images as my camera didn’t take a very good shot the first time. It’s a little dark in the first image.
