Kit and Clowder – Cosy Reading!

Today I’m sharing a Birthday card for my sister-in-law that I made following a video from the Kit and Clowder – Bonus Class – Sept – Oct 2025 – Cozy Reading Colouring class by Alyce Keegan. My sister-in-law loves books and so I thought this would be the perfect card for her. I changed her hair colour to red which is different from the class to match my sister-in-law’s hair.

The base card was created to the size of 5.5″ x 5.5″ out of Hammermill – Premium 110 lb. cardstock. The large die cut pattern was die cut using a Cuttlebug and die from Hunkydory Moonstone – Floral Tile Frame and blue metallic paper from my stash. Then using pink paper from my stash, I cut another square to fit inside the larger die cut. I applied both of these directly to the the front of the card using liquid glue.

The image provided by Alyce was printed out with my HP Printer onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using High Quality Grayscale and coloured in with Copic markers. Once I finished colouring the image, Waffle Flower Crafts – Nesting Squares were used to die cut the image with a Cuttlebug. The sentiment was cut from Paper Rose Studio – Happy Birthday Sentiment Sheets. The image and the sentiment were then popped up onto the card using U-Line double-sided foam tape. To finish it off, I used Spellbinders Color Essentials Gems – Crystal Mix. Prior to adding them to the card, I applied Copic colours to the gems to match the card.

Gina K Designs – Owls – Merry Christmas!

Today I’m sharing another Christmas card using stamps from  Gina K DesignsHoliday Season and Seasonal Patterns and Phrases. Also used, Ornate Frame die from the new Gina K Designs12 Days of Christmas Box – Day 1.

To create the card, I began with the card base using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. folded to the size of 4.25″ x 5.5″. The edges around the card were inked with a Gina K. blending brush and Gina K. Designs – Powder Blue ink.

With Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI, I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in the image with Copic markers listed below. The image was fussy cut, leaving a touch of white all around it. Using a Sakura Glaze – Black pen, I coloured in the eyes and beaks. Then I added a little dot on the eyes with a Gelly Roll Sakura #5 Pen. Spectrum Noir – Sparkles – Crystal Clear was applied to the hats brims and pom-poms to add a little bit of glitter.

The sentiment was stamped directly onto Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, using a MISTI, VersaMark ink and Ranger Gold Embossing powder was applied over top of it. This was heat embossed using a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. The sentiment was die cut using a Cuttlebug and die from Gina K. Designs – Die – Scrolled Gift Card Holder and the frame was die cut using Gina K. Designs – Ornate Frame (Day 1 from the 12 Days of Christmas) and paper from Chloe’s Crafts Paper Pad – 02-3129420. A Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint was used to create a border around the sentiment die cut.

To assemble the card, using another piece of cardstock from the Chloe’s Crafts Paper Pad – 02-3129420, I cut the paper to the size of 3.5″ x 4.75″ and glued this piece to the Ornate Frame die cut. U-Line Double-Sided Foam tape was applied to the backs of this, the Owls images, sentiment and Dress It Up – Glitter Holly embellishment. The frame was then popped up onto the base card. Next, I popped up the owls, holly and sentiment onto the frame. With a Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen, I created snow in the sky behind the owls and onto the holly berries to finish it off.

Matchbook Baby Card!

Today I’m sharing a miniature Baby card using Art ImpressionsMB Nursery – 5495MB Template Dies (5317) and MB Envelope Die (5318) that I made for my niece’s  baby shower. She was very surprised when she saw how small the card was. LOL! I always love seeing everyone’s expression when they receive their little matchbook sized cards.

To create the card, I began with the card base using some scrap paper from my stash for the background. The design was only on one side, so I doubled it up and glued it together. Then using a Cuttlebug die-cutting machine and the Art ImpressionsMB Template Dies (5317), I die cut the designer paper for the base of the card and also the Sentiment pop-up out of a scrap of white cardstock.

With Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI, I stamped all of the images and the sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in all of the images with Copic markers listed below. Once this was completed, the images were all cut out using Art ImpressionsMB Nursery – 5495 dies and the pop-ups were adhered to the card with double-sided tape. The window frames, Baby Blocks and Wording were applied using liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment onto some white cardstock with Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and applied Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder. This was heat embossed using a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool.

Lastly, I die cut the envelope out of some scrap double-sided paper that I had in my stash using the Art ImpressionsMB Envelope Die (5318). A smaller message was written on an even tinier miniature envelope to my niece and nephew.

Kit and Clowder – Penguin Bauble!

Today I’m sharing a Christmas card that I made following a video for the Penguin Bauble Colouring class by Alyce Keegan at Kit and Clowder during the November Summit Class.

The image provided by Alyce was printed out with my HP Printer onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using High Quality Grayscale and coloured in with Copic markers. Once I finished colouring the image, it was fussy cut leaving a slim border. The sentiment was stamped onto some white cardstock in my stash using VersaFine – Majestic Blue ink, MISTI and Kraftin’ Kimmie – It’s Penguining To Look A Lot Like Christmas!  stamp. Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder was applied over top of the ink and it was heat embossed with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Lastly, I used a Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint pen to go around the edges.

The base card was created to the size of 6″ x 6″ out of Hammermill – Premium 110 lb. cardstock. Gold cardstock from Chloe’s Crafts Paper Pad was applied directly to the base of the same size using liquid glue. Waffle Flower Crafts – Nesting Squares were used to die-cut Crafter’s Companion – Snowflake Swirls designer paper for the background and Moonstone – Hunkydory – Vintage Filigree Frame die was used to die cut Chloe’s Crafts Paper Pad – Navy Blue paper. I applied both of these directly to the the front of the card using liquid glue and then popped up the finished image and sentiment onto the card using U-Line double-sided foam tape.

Below is the original coloured image before creating the card to go with it.
