Penguin Joy

Sharing another Christmas card that I made using Whimsy StampsPenguin Joy – C1140. I love colouring penguins and couldn’t resist this adorable image when I saw it! LOL!

Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock was used to create a 5.5″ x 4.25″ card base. I cut Recollections – Fireside paper to be the same size and adhered it to the base using double-sided tape. I applied Crafts – Sparkling Stickers – 02-3068629 – Red to a piece of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. Using my Cuttlebug and MFT – Cross Stitch Rectangle dies, I die cut a large rectangle for the Sparkle paper combined piece and a smaller rectangle from Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto the smaller rectangle. This was coloured in with Copic markers. I applied the snow flakes in the sky using a UNIPosca PC-3M White marker.  Stickles – Diamond was applied to create the snow on the ground. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to both of the die cuts and they were popped up onto the centre of the card.

Birthday Wishes!!

Today, I’m sharing a birthday card that I made using Polkadoodles stamp called Winnie – Birthday Tree for my sister-in-law.

To create this card I began by making a base of 5″ x 5″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. I applied a combination of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink – Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries around the edges of the card with blending brushes. I imported the image into Microsoft Word and then printed it out using High Quality Grayscale onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock.

With my Cuttlebug, I die-cut the image and Hot Buy Craft Smart – Holiday Glitz Glitter Paper using Whimsy – Wavy Stitched Squares Die Set. U-Line double-sided tape was attached to the larger die-cut and it was popped up onto the centre of the card. I coloured in the image using Copic markers and then added Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff to the snow on the bottom. A Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool was used to puff up the liquid. Stickles – Diamond was added to the snow in between and in some areas on top of the Fluffy stuff. With a UNIPosca PC-3M White marker, I created the snow in the sky. Once the Stickles dried, I popped up the coloured image layer to the card using U-Line double-sided tape as well. YNS Gumdrops – Sparkly Enchanted Garden were added to the centre of the snowflakes to finish off the card.

Delivering Candy Angel!!

Today, I’m sharing a Christmas card that I made using Polkadoodles stamp called Delivering Candy – Winnie Angel. It’s hard to believe that Christmas is only a few days away. This little Christmas angel is all set to make someone’s Christmas very special.

To create this card I began by making a base of 5.5″ x 4.25″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. Hot Buy Craft Smart – Holiday Glitz Glitter Paper was cut to the same size and attached to the base card using double-sided tape. I imported the image into Microsoft Word and then printed it out using High Quality Grayscale onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. This stops the ink from smudging when you colour the image with your markers.

With my Cuttlebug, I die-cut the image and Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock using Penny Black Creative Dies – Antique Frame. U-Line double-sided tape was attached to the larger die-cut and it was popped up onto the centre of the card. I coloured in the image using Copic markers and then added Stickles – Diamond to the snow on the bottom. With a UNIPosca PC-3M White marker, I created the snow in the sky. Wink of Stella – Clear was applied to the wings and the halo. Once the Stickles dried, I adhered the coloured image layer to the card using U-Line double-sided tape as well.

Winter Wonderland

Sharing a CAS card that I made today using KLM Digital DesignSkier Gnome for the main image and Sledding Gnome for the sentiment from the new December 2022 release. I tried Cross-Country skiing a few times. I was so bad at it, that once was enough for any of my friends. They said I was too dangerous on them. LOL! I even skied down into a tree to avoid knocking over 3 people once going down a small hill. My friend was laughing so hard it took him a little while before he could help me back up away from the tree. But, by the time we got back he was freezing and I was hot from all of the hard work I was doing trying to keep up to him. He was a professional skier. That was the last time he ever went with me. Then there was the time that there were about 6 of us. They made the mistake of asking me to go first side-stepping up the hill. I almost made it to the top when my foot slipped and yes, I knocked everyone over like a bunch of bowling pins. LOL! Guess what??? They never went with me again either. Oh well! Some things are just not meant to be!!! As you may have guessed by now. Downhill is definitely out of the question for me.

To make my card this week, I started with a 5.5″ x 4.25″ card base using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. Recollections – Christmas Plaids paper was cut to the same size and adhered directly to the base using double-sided tape! The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. With my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies, I die cut the printed image and sentiment.

I coloured in the image and then added in the snow in the sky using a combination of a Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen and UNIPosca PC-3M White marker. The snow at the bottom was created using a combination of Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff and DecoArt Glamour Dust. To puff up the snow, heat was applied using Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. I added a little more glitter along the very top of the snow with Stickles – Star Dust. The completed image was then popped up onto the card using U-Line double-sided tape.

Snowmen – Winter Fun!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Snowman Dash – TT054 for the main image and Winter Fun! – F109, for the sentiment. Growing up in the North, we couldn’t wait to get home from school to go sledding down the hills across the street or behind our house. There was so much snow that the snowbanks the plows created were just the perfect height for us to have loads of fun! On the weekends, we would go to the much larger hills!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of 5.5″ x 4.25″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. I inked around the edges with a blender brush and blue ink that I still had on it from a previous project. I don’t clean off my brushes because I have dedicated brushes for each colour group.

The image was stamped onto the inner die cut using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, which I had die cut using my Cuttlebug and paper from Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock with MFT – Stitched Rec Scallop Frame dies. I coloured in the image and then added the sentiment using a MISTI, VersaMark ink and Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail. This was heat embossed using a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. The snow in the sky was created using a Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen and UNIPosca PC-3M White marker. Stickles – Star Dust was added to the snow on the hill and Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff and DecoArt Glamour Dust were added to give some texture to the snow where the sled had been. A Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool was used to fluff up the Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff. Once the Stickles was all dry, I pieced the 2 die cuts back together using Scotch tape on the back. U-Line double-sided tape was added to the combined piece and it was popped up onto the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Snowman Dash – TT054 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Winter Fun – F109 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

I heated this with my Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Snow was added to the sky using a UNIPosca PC-3M White marker. For the snow at the bottom of the card, Brutus Monroe – Snow Paste was applied with a small spatula and DecoArt Glamour Dust was sprinkled over top while it was still wet to give it even more sparkle.
