Couples Cruise!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Couples Cruise – S135 for the image and Wonderful Adventure – H164 for the sentiment. Cruising is starting up again and I can’t wait to go! Seeing this image reminded me of all of the fun times we’ve had and of all of the fun times to come.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock – White, cut and scored to be 6″ x 6″. Forever In Time – Textura Sky was cut to the size of 5-7/8″ x 5-7/8″ and was adhered to the base using double-sided tape. Craft Consortium – Clare Therese Ocean Tale was cut to the size of 5.75″ x 5.75″ and was popped up onto the base using U-Line double-sided tape. Using Forever In Time – Textura Sky cardstock and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers, the larger frame was die cut using the Cuttlebug. Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies were used to die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock using the Cuttlebug as well. Lastly, the little clouds were die cut using Lawn Fawn Cuts – Centre Picture Window Card dies, a scrap of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and my Cuttlebug.

I stamped the image onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI. Once the image and little clouds were coloured, I added in the little eyes using a Sakura Glaze – Black pen to make them stand out more. The nails in the ark were coloured in with a Pental Sunburst Metalic Med Gel Pen – Silver. A few white caps were created using a General’s Charcoal White 558 Pencil in the water.

The sentiment was also stamped using my MISTI onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock and then fussy cut into 3 separate pieces. I ran this through my Xyron Create a Sticker and adhered it to Recollections – Black cardstock. Once again, I cut around the sentiment, leaving a slim border. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the back of each of the sentiment pieces, image and blue rectangle and they were all popped up onto the card. For embellishments, I added in three YNS Gumdrops – Firefly Magic Sparkly Gumdrops and some blue and white twine using American Crafts Premium Ribbon.

Ellie & Friends!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made an Easter card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Ellie & Friends – TDG025 for the image and Happy Easter! – F096 for the sentiment. We are celebrating our new “Spring Fever Release” this month and who couldn’t love this adorable image!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock – White, cut and scored to be 6″ x 6″. I cut the flower cardstock from Echo Park – Welcome Easter at 6″ x 1.75″ and Lawn Fawn – Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper to 6″ x 4.5″. I applied double-side tape and adhered both pieces directly to the base. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet ink was used to ink around all of the edges of the base card. Using My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out and my Cuttlebug, I die cut Momenta – Cardstock and inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. 3M double-sided tape was applied to the back of this and it was popped up onto the base card.

Using PinkFresh Studios – Essentials: Blanket Stitched Square Die Set and my Cuttlebug, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I stamped the main image onto this die cut and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers and then U-Line double-side tape was applied to the back of it. This was popped up over top of the yellow square.

I fussy cut around the sentiment and inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet. I ran it through my Xyron Create a Sticker and applied it to the Momenta – Cardstock and fussy cut around it again. I applied Scrapbook Adhesives – 3D Foam Strips to the back of the sentiment layers and added it to the bottom right of the card. Lastly, I added in 3 DoodleBug Design Inc. – Sprinkles Spring Assortment to complete the card.

Ella the Elephant!!

Today, I’m sharing a card using this adorable image from KLM Digital Designs new February release called Ella The Elephant. The image comes with 3 different sentiments. Like so many others, I’ve been missing my family and friends a lot due to Covid lockdowns, so I chose the “Miss You” sentiment for my card. Hopefully, times will get better this year and we’ll be able to see our distant families and friends again.

To make the card, I printed out the main image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my HP Printer. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the image and coloured it in with Copic markers.

I used AC White Cardstock for the base card size of 6″ x 6″ and ScrapBerry’s Tropics paper for the background. I ran the image through my Xyron Creative Station because I wanted it to lay flat on the background. I used my Cuttlebug to die cut the grass using Lawn Fawn – Grassy Hillside Borders and green cardstock. Then I edged around it using Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint. I applied double-sided tape to the back of the grass and applied it directly to the base, then I positioned the elephant in front and behind the grass.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiment: Ella The Elephant (KLM Digital Designs)

Inks: HP Printer Grayscale, HP Printer Black, Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, AC White Cardstock, ScrapBerry’s Tropics – 6×6 Paper Collection, Lime Green cardstock

Die Cut: Lawn Fawn – Grassy Hillside Borders

Tools: Cuttlebug, Xyron Creative Station

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Elephant: W3, W2, W1, W0, R22, R20, B04, B02, B00, C1

Ribbon and Flower: RV14, RV13, RV10, Y17, Y08

May Your Day Be Filled With Love!!

It’s Wednesday, and I’m back this week to start off April with lots and lots of love from Elmer the Elephant using Elmer Elephant – Q043 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Large Filled With Love – H004 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. With everything happening in the world right now, I think we could all use a little bit of love. When I was a child, Elmer was also called Elmer the Safety Elephant, so I hope that you and all of your loved ones are keeping safe right now too!

To make this card I first die cut some Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Your Next Stamp – Stitched Rectangle Die Set (YNSD214) and my Cuttlebug. Next I used my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the image and the sentiment. I coloured in the image using Copic markers. Then I created my own background using a mixture of Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Festive Berries, Spun Sugar and Picked Raspbery and Kraftin’ Kimmie – Happy Hearts Stencil. I also did all around the edges with the Picked Raspberry. Lastly, added in the bottom border of hearts using Sizzix Framelets by Stephanie Barnard – 562676 – Hearts Dotted which I ran through my Cuttlebug twice with 2 different red cardstock. Then I inlayed the lighter colour into the darker hearts. I had also ran the cardstock through my Xyron Create a Sticker beforehand to make the die-cut work like a sticker and easy to inlay. I also used one of the small hearts for the “o” in “Love” and added some Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen – Red Berry on top of it. Finally, I mounted the finished image onto a white base card 5.5″ x 4.25″.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Elmer Elephant – Q043  (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Large Filled With Love – H004 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz – Festive Berries, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Spun Sugar, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Various scraps of red cardstock

Die-Cuts: Your Next Stamp – Stitched Rectangle Die Set (YNSD214), Sizzix Framelets by Stephanie Barnard – 562676 – Hearts Dotted

Tools: MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug, Xyron Create a Sticker, Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen – Red Berry

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Nuts About You!

Welcome High Hopes Rubber Stamps Fans!

It’s Wednesday, and this week at High Hopes Rubber Stamps love is in the air! LOL! This week, I used this adorable little elephant called  Peeking Ellie With Heart – P127 for the main image and Nuts About You – F128 for the sentiment!

The card base is 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4 inches on white cardstock. I stamped the image using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured in the image with Copic markers. Then I fussy cut around the image only leaving a thin slice of white in a few areas. Where I had trimmed the paper closest to the image, I outlined it with black marker.

Next, after running scrap pieces of paper through my Xyron Create a Sticker, I die cut the heart border using Sizzix Framelets by Stephanie Barnard – 562676 – Hearts Dotted. I also used the same die cut to cut out the big heart. Then I taped the metal die cut and the paper down onto a piece of cardboard so that I could colour the big heart and still leave a white border. Once the heart was coloured, I covered “about you” with some Scotch Tape and then stamped “I’m nuts”. I repeated the process only this time, I covered “I’m nuts” with the Scotch Tape and then stamped “about you” below it. Of course, I removed the tape each time before stamping.

I cut out the red contrasting paper and patterned paper with Your Next Stamp – Stitched Rectangle Die Set (YNSD214).

Now it was time to put it all together. I mounted the red rectangle directly onto the base. I mounted the patterned rectangle onto some white cardstock and used my cutter to create a thin white border all the way around it. Then, I popped up the rectangle, Ellie and the big heart with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

Lastly, to finish it off, I added the border sticker to the bottom of the first rectangle and hearts that I created earlier.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Peeking Ellie With Heart – P127 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Nuts About You – F128 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento – Tuxedo Black

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, K&C Company – Kelly Panacci – KP Valentine – 30-599345, K&C Company – Kelly Panacci – KP Valentine – 30-599338

Die Cuts: Sizzix Framelets by Stephanie Barnard – 562676 – Hearts Dotted, Your Next Stamp – Stitched Rectangle Die Set (YNSD214)

Tools: MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug, Xyron Create a Sticker

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Elephant: C5, C3, C2, C1, R30, R22, R20, R01, B00

Hearts: R29, R27, R24, R22
