Beary Merry Christmas

Hi There,

Back again to share some cards I made using the .svg cuts from Too Cute By Jessica – Christmas Treats. Love these little bears.

Used my Cricut Explore and Cricut Design Space to do all of the cuts. Used a mixture of my Cuttlebug and Big Shot for the dies cuts and embossing.

Vet Thank You Card

Recently our little girl (cat) Boo was very sick. The amazing staff at Robinson’s Pet Hospital managed to help save her life and make her healthy enough to come back home to us. Since then, she has been doing amazingly well. “Boo” means so much to us and we’re glad that she is back to her old self.

Here is a card that I made to thank the Vet (Dr. Emmanuel Aziz) and his terrific staff.

Used Cricut Design Studio and Cricut Explore to cut out the doctor and nurse are from Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge. Stamped their faces with Peachy Keen PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment. Used Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen for their eyes and some pink chalk on the cheeks.

The little cat is from Local King Rubber Stamps “Kitty Love (4)” and the matching die Kitty Love (S). Coloured the kitty in with a mixture of Copics and Spectrum Noir markers.

The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Diva’s “Tissue Time”. I re-arranged the sentiment so that it would fit on the card.

The tag is from MFT – Die-namics Pierced Fishtail Flags.

Background paper is from DCWV – The Pets Stack 6.5″ x 4.5″ printed cardstock.

Christmas Penguins – Igloo card

Hi There,

Back to share a Christmas card that I made this past weekend.

The adorable penguins are from Craftin Desert Diva’s “Chill Out” stamp set. I just fell in love with these little characters.

The sentiment is also from the same set.

I stamped the little penguins with Memento Black Tuxedo ink and then coloured them in with a mixture of Copics and Spectrum Noir markers.

To make the eyes shiny, I used Glossy Accents. Also, first coloured in the little tree balls and then added some coloured “Stickles”.

To make the igloo from “Go Canada”, I used Cricut Design Space and my Cricut Explore, black, gray cardstock and Glittered Christmas Cardstock for the white.

The tree to the right of the igloo is from Miss Kate Cuttables. I really love this little tree and with being an .svg file, I can make them all different sizes. Added some Wink of Stella – Glitter White to the snow on the tree. Unfortunately, it does show up that great in this pic.

Added some “Sookwang Be Creative” double sided tape over heavy weight white cardstock by AC Cardstock to make the snow using my Cuttlebug, embossing folder “D’vine Swirl”. Next, I die cut the snow with Craftin Desert Diva’s “Outdoor Landscape” dies. After that, I peeled off the top layer of the tape and sprinkled DecoArt Glamour Dust onto the embossed image. I felt this gave the snow more sparkle.

The die cut border was done with my Cuttlebug and the dies from Craftin Desert Diva’s “Fancy Frame Dies”. The patterned paper is from “Home For Christmas” Paper pad 6″ x 6″ pad.

I also used this die cut on the Swirly snow base as well.

The card base is from Recollections “Frost” Card and Envelope set.

Monster Birthday Card

Hi There,

Back again to share a Monster Birthday card that I made using some stamps, dies and sequins from Craftin Desert Divas.

To make my card I used the following:

Craftin Desert Diva’s Fancy Frames, Party Dies, Monster Mania stamp set and Corn Maze sequins.

I also used Cricut Design Space and my Cricut Explore to die cut the images for the Monster Mania stamps from an .svg file of the same name.

Next, I cut paper pierced the monsters.

I had some Monster paper and balloon paper on hand and thought it would go great with this stamp set.

Images were coloured with Spectrum Noir Markers and PrismaColor Premier Pencils with Gamsol.

I really loved this set. It was so much fun to create with.

Hallowe’en 2015

Happy Hallowe’en 2015

This is my card for the vet this year from our black cat “Boo”. For each occasion the vet and staff get a new card from “Boo”.

Hallowe’en is our favourite though.

The black cats and caption “Don’t be a Scaredy Cat” are from the set “Don’t be a Scaredy Cat” by Too Cute by Jessica – Jessica Owens 2014.

I fell in love with set as soon as I saw it.

The word “Boo” was a weekly freebie from “Treasure Box Designs”.

The “Happy Hallowe’en” sentiment on the inside of the card is from Cricut Cartridge “Phrases”.

The following stamps:

Lamp post and sign, ghost, mummy, little spiders and “Trick or Treat” sentiment are all from “My Creative Time – Too Cute to Spook” Stamp and Die set.

Coloured in the mummy’s face with PrismaColor Premier pencils and the used Gamsol for shading. On the pumpkins and “Boo” title, I outlined everything with chalk.

All svg files were cut using my Cricut Explore and Cricut Design Studio.

Patterned paper is from “doodlebug design inc. – 6 x 6 paper pad – Halloween parade”.

Minion Birthday Card

Hi There,

Made this birthday card for my Super husband.

He means the world to me and I’m not to sure what I’d do without him.

My husband loves the minions, so I thought this would be a really cute card for him.

The Superman minion .svg file was from the SVG Cuts “Super Hero” Blog Hop!” on April 24, 2015.

Background cupcake pattern is from DCWV – Everyday Stack 6″ x 6″ paper pad.

Other background paper was found at the dollar store, so not sure who makes it. I thought it looks great for a birthday background though.

I used my Cuttlebug and Quickutz Nesting Frame 7 dies from We R memory keepers to cut out the shapes.

This is the inside of the card. I realized that I spelled “Your” wrong and fixed it to “You’re” with a marker later. Oops!

The Wonder woman minion .svg file was from the SVG Cuts “One in a “Minion” Blog Hop!” on June 12, 2015. The file was only available at the time of the hop.

To make this card, I imported the .svg files into Cricut Design Space and then used the Cricut Explore to cut out the pieces.

For the sentiments, I used the Magneto font in Microsoft Word and then just printed it out on my printer and cut around the wording.

Hope you like it! My husband thought it was pretty funny.

Pink Bear Birthday Card

Hi There,

I’m back to share a birthday card that I made for my niece’s birthday.

I used the .svg freebie that I had received from KaDoodle Bugs Designs – Cuddly Pink Bear. I thought this bear was just so adorable.

I imported the file into Cricut Design Space and then used the Cricut Explore to cut all of the pieces.

For the bear, I used the embossing tool because I didn’t want to cut the Mulberry Paper (Nicole Handmade Mulberry Paper). Instead, I just required the outlines so that I could wet around the images and then tear them a part.

Used my Cuttlebug to do the following:

The circle was cut with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles. – 3rd largest die and Doodlebug Design Inc. –

Sugar Shoppe 6 x 6 paper pad.

Inked around the edges with Dew Drop Memento – Rose Bud.

The scallop was cut with WeR Memory Keepers – Quickutz Nesting Scallops – largest die.

Doily was cut from My Creative Time – Bunch of Stitched Doily Dies.

Used Inkssentials Glossy Accents for the nose and Wink of Stella Gl. White 000 for the hat.

Some stickles for the ice cream sprinkles.

Peel Offs – Happy Birthday Assortment for the sentiment.

Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen was used on the eyes for highlights and stitching around the scallops.

Pigma Micron #5 – Black was used for the eyelashes.

Super Mario Minion Birthday Card

Hi There,

Sharing a Super Mario Birthday card that I made for my nephew.

The .svg file was from the SVG Cuts “One in a “Minion” Blog Hop!” on June 12, 2015. The file was only available at the time of the hop.

To make this card, I imported the .svg file into Cricut Design Space and then used the Cricut Explore to cut out the pieces.

LOVE my Cricut Explore!!!

I needed to find some brick to put the characters up on, so I went shopping looking for an embossing folder or die cut. Couldn’t find any and then it dawned on me.

I have Cricut Design Space and my Cricut Explore. I could just make my own wall!!!!

I used the round corner rectangle and made various sizes, cut them out and placed them onto a solid colour. Voila! I had my brick wall.

For the background I used #Summer Paper Pad 6 x 6 in (15.2 x 15.2 cm) from American Crafts.

The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas – Little Super Star.

Balloons are from Frances Meyer – Stickers – (FST 955 Balloons).

White stitching around the pocket is made with

Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen.

Snowman Globe

It’s Christmas in July!

Here is a snowman shaker card that I made.

This is a close-up.

To make the card, I used my Cricut Explore to cut out the snow globe from “Cricut Cartridge – Joys of the Season – #M3EAF0″.

To make the window, I merged together the large circle and a small rectangle in Cricut Design Space.

Next, I put the smaller globe on top of the merged piece and then used the slice tool.

This enabled me to cut the cardboard pieces out. I cut out 4 pieces of thin cardboard and then glued the cellophane across the top.

I had received some flowers and kept the cellophane that they used to wrap the flowers up with.

Works great for shaker cards and it cuts easily.

Used my Cuttlebug to cut the Snow using Craftin Desert Diva’s – “Landscape Dies” then embossed with “D’Vine Swirl”

Snowmwan’s jacket was paperpierced from DCWV Premium Paper Pack – Assorted papers.

Card base is Recollections – Frost.

I used Spectrum Noir Pens LV1, LV2, CR4, BT1 and Blender pen to colour.

Memento – Tuxedo Black was used for sentiment and for stamping the snowman.

Hi There,

I like to share a StarWars birthday card that I made.

Yoda and Jabba are from the SVG Cutting Files Blog Hop on May 4, 2015.

Used Cricut Design Studio and my Cricut Explore to cut the images.

StarWars Yoda HB in 300 dpi

Cricut Cartridge – Plantin Schoolbook Roly Poly was used

for sentiment on front of card.

Ground beneath Yoda is cut using my Cuttlebug and

new Craftin Desert Diva’s – Outdoor Landscape Dies.

I then chalked the tops of the mounds with brown chalk to make them stand out more.

Hi There,

Like to share a Thank You card I made for my neighbour for coming to my rescue the other day. Needed to go in for some minor day surgery and my husband just started a new job and therefore couldn’t take me. My neighbour was so good, she took me to the hospital and stayed the whole time with me. 7 hours in total if you include the drive time. I’ll be eternally grateful. It’s so nice to have great neighbours that you can depend on.

Hi There,

Created this card for the Craftin Desert Divas June Anything Project.

For this project, I used the stamps from Garden Cuties and the sentiment on the inside from Craftin Desert Diva’s Tissue Time.

All stamping was done with Memento Tuxedo black ink.

I cut out the frame for the inside of the card using Craftin Desert Divas Tag Essential Dies and my Cuttlebug.

Used my Cricut Explore to cut out the Pea pod design from sweetpeajoanneb, which was a free .svg file.

The background papers are from Ki-Doilies Paper Pad by Hamtpon Art.

Coloured in the stamps with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and then used Gamsol and PrismaColor Premier coloured pencils to do the highlights.

Thought I’d share a card with you that I made from my Craftin Desert Divas Just Bugcause stamps and dies.

I used the background paper from Patterned paper – Kaitlin – Recollections Signature 12 x 12 Paper Pad. Love this design.

I stamped the snail twice and coloured in the base, then cut out the shell from some paper I had mixed my Rangers Alcohol Inks on and thought it looked great for the shell.

I cut out the shell separately and placed it on top of the coloured snail. Spectrum Noire marker and Prismacolor Premier Pencils were used to colour in the snail.

Used my Cricut Explore to cut out the sun from Cricut Cartridge – Create A Critter – #M37746.

Grass – Cricut Cartridge – Ribbons & Rosettes – #M41AB5.

For the face on the sun,

I used Peachy Keen – PK490 – Everyday Character Face Assortment.

Graduation Card for my Niece

My beautiful niece graduated recently and

I wanted to make her a very unique card.

I created the card front using her university colours.

Wine, white and blue.

For the inside, I saw something similar to this on an SVG Blog Hop and I knew I just had to make it. I missed the original blog hop, but was given a second chance during a second blog hop to purchase a previous blog hop through a donation. Long story short, I LOVED the card that I saw and decided to put my own personal touch to it.

With my Cricut Explore I cut out all of the following Cricut images:

Ovals – Phrases – zig zag oval label – #M3A497.

Timon Hula was from the Hakuna Matata Blog hop. I uploaded the .svg file and then used my Cricut Explore to do the cutting.

The long scroll I created in Microsoft Word by inserting the image and then put in my own sentiment.

Belated Bithday Card

Hello There,

Like to share the tear bear I made using Teacup Panda from Kadoodle Bug Designs. (Cutie KaToodles – Teacup Panda).

My second attempt at tear bears. Lots of work, but I’m loving it. Outlined paws with Spectrum Noir Marker.

Eyes with Pigma Micron 05 marker.

Patterned paper – Kaitlin – Recollections Signature 12 x 12 Paper Pad.

For the inside, I cut out the snail from Cricut Cartridge Birthday Bash. Then I stamped the face with Peachy Keen Stamp Set – PK490 – Everyday Character Face Assortment. I added in some extra eyelashes and used my White Gel pen on the eye. Used chalk for cheeks, outline of snail and for shadow below snail. For the shell, I used some paper that I made using the Tim Holz Ranger Alcohol Inks.

Mother’s Day Card 2015

Hi There,

Sharing a card I made for my mom this year using Craftin Desert Divas Rain or Shine stamps and Sentiments.

I used my watercolour pencils to do the background. Then I used my Cricut Explore to cut out all of the hearts, mom and red puddle.

The red puddle is supposed to represent a puddle of love. I thought the hearts went with the sentiment for raining down love.

Here’s a closer look of the little girl. I coloured her in with my Prismacolor Premier Pencils and then blended with Gamsol.

I used my Gelly Roll Pen 08 for the eyes.

For the blue puddle, I cut out the puddle with my Cricut Explore and then added Glossy Accents. I also paper pierced the pattern in the umbrella and added a few small hearts.

Lastly, I wrote this poem for my mom on the inside. Thought I’d share it with everyone.

Happy Birthday Elephant Card

Here is a card that I made from a freebie from Kadoodle Bug Designs from the Eggie Buddies collection called EggieBuddiesElephant.

I used Quickutz Nesting Frame 7 from We R Memory Keeperts and my Cuttlebug to cut out the shaped background from Doodlebug Design Inc. 6×6 paper pad, Sugar Shoppe double-sided cardstock collection.

Then used a marker to go around the edging. Layered it onto blue and yellow cardstock.

Happy Birthday was cut out on my Cricut Explore and sentiment is from Inky Antics Clear Stamps Birthday Elephant.

Balloon was made from Inky Antics Honeycomb Paper Assortment – Yellow.

Elephant and Sentiment was stamped with Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and then was coloured in using Copic Cool Grey for the base and then highlighted with PrismaColor Premier Pencils and Gamsol using pencil stumps.

Happy Chinese New Year

Hi There,

Happy Chinese New Year! Here is the card I made for my friends this year to help them celebrate the Year of the Sheep.

I just love the way it turned out.

To make this card I cut out all of the images using my Cricut Explore and printed out the heading “Year of the” with my printer.
