Just A Note!

Welcome KLM Digital Design Fans!

Today, I’m sharing a new stamp set from KLM Digital Designs called Mailbox Greetings. These little country birds decided to make their home in someone’s mailbox and are enjoying the nice sunny weather. A lot of snow here still where I live, so it will be a while before we get to see some flowers blooming and some nice clear skies. LOL!

Happy Mother’s Day 2019

Hi Everyone!

Thought I would share my Mother’s Day card that I made for my mom this year! I thought this was the perfect image showing a mother’s love for her child. Our mom’s hugs all make us feel extra special and safe. I think I have the most loving mom in the world and I am truly grateful for everything she has done for me in my life!

I used the lesson from Kit and Clowder – September Pencils Monthly class 2018 to colour this image. The stamp also came with this class. Alyce is a wonderful teacher and she explains each step in detail, both in the videos and booklet that come with the course. She has helped me in so many ways improving my colouring techniques, both with markers and pencils and I am truly grateful to her.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mom’s out there!

Cat Doctor Is In!

Welcome One Crazy Stamper Fans!

We have a brand new release for Get Well Wishes from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! Today I’m sharing what I’m calling the Cat Doctor Is In, featuring “Nurse Kitty” (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the image and High Hopes Rubber Stamps – “Get Well Soon Script2”.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE black cats and so I just had to colour this image in the darker colours! LOL! Coloured the image using Copic markers and then used PrismaColor Premier Black pencil to create the fine fur texture.

The striped background paper was chosen because it reminded me of the Candy Stripers who used to volunteer at all of the hospitals when I was younger. (Dating myself here! LOL!) Hoping this little kitty puts a smile on someone’s face and cheers them up!

Happy Birthday Chicks

Hi There!

Sharing a birthday card that I made using the music and cute chicks from Your Next Stamp Set – Music Chicks.

Including a close-up.

Stamped images using MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink to transfer images onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. Images were then coloured with Copic Markers. Background was done using Spectrum Noir Markers and then grass was added in using Prismacolor Premier Pencils.

Musical sentiment and notes were stamped using (MISTI), Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and then heat embossed with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder.

Background Paper: Echo Parks Paper Co. – Birthday Wishes by Alisha Gordon – 6″ x 6″ Paper Pads

Die Cut – Your Next Stamp – Stitched Rectangle Die Set (YNSD214). I used the same die for the small die cut as well. I just adjusted the die to fit the size of the sentiment by putting it through the Cuttlebug twice.

Entered into Your Next Stamp Sketch and Color Challenge #90 – http://yournextstamp.com/blog/sketch-and-color-challenge-90-more-inspiration/ and also YNS Social Media challenge  – Challenge #90.

Hope you like it!

Congratulations and Best Wishes

Hi There,

Sharing a card that I made for a lady at my workplace. She is going to be starting a new job and I thought it would be nice to wish her well. She was a super nice young woman and she will be missed. I wish her the best of luck!

For the front of the card, I created my own background using various Tim Holtz Ranger inks. I added a little bit of water and created a splatter background onto watercolour paper and then heat set it.

The image was from a former Kit and Clowder August 2016 Pencils monthly class using La La Land Crafts – Marci with Camera.

On the inside I created a little scene using stamps and embossing folder called Safari Friends which came free with Papercraft Essentials #145. Used Memento – Tuxedo Black and MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool to stamp the images. Coloured in with a mixture of Copic and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

Die cuts from: PaperCrafter Today which also came free with their magazine.

Hope you like it!
