Couples Cruise!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Couples Cruise – S135 for the image and Wonderful Adventure – H164 for the sentiment. Cruising is starting up again and I can’t wait to go! Seeing this image reminded me of all of the fun times we’ve had and of all of the fun times to come.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock – White, cut and scored to be 6″ x 6″. Forever In Time – Textura Sky was cut to the size of 5-7/8″ x 5-7/8″ and was adhered to the base using double-sided tape. Craft Consortium – Clare Therese Ocean Tale was cut to the size of 5.75″ x 5.75″ and was popped up onto the base using U-Line double-sided tape. Using Forever In Time – Textura Sky cardstock and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers, the larger frame was die cut using the Cuttlebug. Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies were used to die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock using the Cuttlebug as well. Lastly, the little clouds were die cut using Lawn Fawn Cuts – Centre Picture Window Card dies, a scrap of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and my Cuttlebug.

I stamped the image onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI. Once the image and little clouds were coloured, I added in the little eyes using a Sakura Glaze – Black pen to make them stand out more. The nails in the ark were coloured in with a Pental Sunburst Metalic Med Gel Pen – Silver. A few white caps were created using a General’s Charcoal White 558 Pencil in the water.

The sentiment was also stamped using my MISTI onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock and then fussy cut into 3 separate pieces. I ran this through my Xyron Create a Sticker and adhered it to Recollections – Black cardstock. Once again, I cut around the sentiment, leaving a slim border. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the back of each of the sentiment pieces, image and blue rectangle and they were all popped up onto the card. For embellishments, I added in three YNS Gumdrops – Firefly Magic Sparkly Gumdrops and some blue and white twine using American Crafts Premium Ribbon.

Sweets for my Sooeet!!!

Valentine’s Day Is Almost Here!!! Who Wants Chocolate???

It’s Wednesday, and since Valentine’s Day is almost here, I thought I’d share this adorable little piggy called  Sow Soo-Eet Piggy (S091) from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! He sure does love his chocolate and so do I. LOL! I’m a choc-o-holic and so is my husband! I can give up many things, but not my chocolate. No way! LOL! And the sentiment Sweets for my Sooeet (G197) by High Hopes Rubber Stamps is the perfect fit for this card.

I decided to keep the card simple this week. I started off with a base of 5.5″ x 5.5″. I used double side tape and added the pretty heart ribbon to both the top and bottom of the card.

The die cuts for the main image are both from Craftin Desert Diva’s – Fancy Frames. I edged around the large die cut with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Aged Mahagony to deepen the red. It was then attached to the card using 2 sided tape.

The main image was stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and then coloured in with Copic Markers. I left the die cut metal frame on while I coloured the image. Once, the coloured image was done, I was ready to add some clouds. To do this, I stamped the image again onto some Post-It paper and then cut it out to create a masked image. I layered this on top of the pig and Valentine’s boxes and then created the clouds in the background using various blues from Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Ink and a stencil that I created using Avery Elle – D-05-01 PiercedCloudsDie.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock. I die cut the frame for the sentiment with Craftin Desert Diva’s – Flag Banner Dies out of red cardstock. Then I used the same red cardstock, which I had just cut the banner out of to use as a stencil to trace around my sentiment.  I then used the trace marks as a guide to cut the sentiment out, moving just slightly inwards from my tracing to create the inner banner. This allowed me to have a nice red frame around the sentiment.

To finish the card I popped up the coloured image and sentiment with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape and added a couple of hearts.

Happy 60th Birthday!

Hi One Crazy Stamper Fans!

Hello There! My brother turned 60 this year and so I had to have some fun with his card. LOL!  I thought the background paper was perfect for his card with all those candles.

I used the stamp from High Hopes Rubber Stamps called “Birthday Bob” and coloured in the image with Copic markers. I tried to colour the candles to match the background paper.

The sentiment was created in Microsoft Word using Cooper Black font and then printed out on my printer. Then I die cut it with My Creative Time – Stitched Circle Balloon Dies using my Cuttelbug and completed the edging around the balloon with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber.

The main image and co-ordinating rectangles were all die cut with Your Next Stamp – Stitched Rectangle Die Set.

On the inside of the card I loved the sentiment:  Birthday Emergency (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) and Firefighter Dragon (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). My brother is also a Firefighter so I couldn’t resist the temptation! LOL!

Kitty – Birthday Card

Hi There, Sharing a birthday card that I made for my sister-in-law, who’s name is “Kitty”. I thought Candio – SVG Cuts from the Miss Kitty blog hop would be perfect for her birthday. This .svg was only available during the blog hop.

KittyBDCard2016

I uploaded the file to Cricut Design Studio and cut out the image on my Cricut Explore. I inked around the edges of the kitty with Baby Blue Chalk ink.

The dress, sleeves and bow were inked with Dew Drop Memento – Rose Bud ink.

The sentiment is from “My Creative Time – You Had Me At Meow” stamp. Stamped with  VersaMark – Onyx Black and then embossed with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder.

The balloons were cut out with my Cuttlebug and Craftin Desert Diva’s – Party Dies onto watercolour paper. I coloured the balloons with Talons Transparent Watercolours. Stamped the image on the top balloon with face from Peachy Keen Stamps – PKSC – 33 September 2014 with Memento – Tuxedo Black.

Used Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen for the eyes on the balloon and Candio. Also on the bow.

Then cut a small whole into the balloons and added some twine from American Crafts – Premium Ribbon.

The borders were cut with a combination of Craftin Desert Diva’s Fancy Frames and My Creative Time -Stitched Rectangular Frames and More. Used 3M VHB – 2 sided tape between the layers of the base card. Hope you like it!
