Couples Cruise!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Couples Cruise – S135 for the image and Wonderful Adventure – H164 for the sentiment. Cruising is starting up again and I can’t wait to go! Seeing this image reminded me of all of the fun times we’ve had and of all of the fun times to come.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock – White, cut and scored to be 6″ x 6″. Forever In Time – Textura Sky was cut to the size of 5-7/8″ x 5-7/8″ and was adhered to the base using double-sided tape. Craft Consortium – Clare Therese Ocean Tale was cut to the size of 5.75″ x 5.75″ and was popped up onto the base using U-Line double-sided tape. Using Forever In Time – Textura Sky cardstock and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers, the larger frame was die cut using the Cuttlebug. Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies were used to die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock using the Cuttlebug as well. Lastly, the little clouds were die cut using Lawn Fawn Cuts – Centre Picture Window Card dies, a scrap of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and my Cuttlebug.

I stamped the image onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI. Once the image and little clouds were coloured, I added in the little eyes using a Sakura Glaze – Black pen to make them stand out more. The nails in the ark were coloured in with a Pental Sunburst Metalic Med Gel Pen – Silver. A few white caps were created using a General’s Charcoal White 558 Pencil in the water.

The sentiment was also stamped using my MISTI onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock and then fussy cut into 3 separate pieces. I ran this through my Xyron Create a Sticker and adhered it to Recollections – Black cardstock. Once again, I cut around the sentiment, leaving a slim border. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the back of each of the sentiment pieces, image and blue rectangle and they were all popped up onto the card. For embellishments, I added in three YNS Gumdrops – Firefly Magic Sparkly Gumdrops and some blue and white twine using American Crafts Premium Ribbon.

Lucky Dog!!

Sharing a card I made today using KLM Digital Design –  Fido’s Home from the new January 2022 release. We grew up having dogs in our family. They were all spoiled and loved very much! They may have thought they were the lucky ones, but deep down, I think we were.

I created the base using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock to the size of 5.5″ x 4.25″. For the background, I used Kraftin’ Kimmie – Pawprints Stencil, a Picket Fence – Blending Brush and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Pumice Stone to create the paw prints. For the hearts, I used the same stencil, a small foam brush and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Barn Door. With my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Stitched Squares Inside and Out, I die cut the red square from Forever In Time – Texture Rouge cardstock.

I imported the image and sentiment into Microsoft Word and printed them out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I die cut the image using Waffle Flower – Nesting Square dies and the sentiment with My Creative Time – Stitched Zig Zag Ties. I inked around the edges of the sentiment die cut with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Barn Door and popped it up onto the base card using U-Line double-sided tape. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and the sky was created with Lawn Fawn – Cloudy Stencil and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean and a mixture of Copic blue markers. The completed image was popped up onto the base card using U-Line double-sided tape to finish it off.

Baby Gnome!!

Sharing a card I made today using KLM Digital Design –  Baby Gnome from the new January 2022 release. Congrats to all of the families who received a new blessing into their lives this January and also to all of those future parents-to-be this year too!

I created the base using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. I cut the paper to the size of 5.5″ x 4.25″. For the background, I used the same paper for the front and back. I first cut the Echo Park – Hello Baby – It’s a Girl cardstock to be the same size as the base card. Using my Cuttlebug and Art Impressions – Oval Double Stitched Dies, I cut an oval from the floral patterned side. I inked around the edges of the floral oval with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Seedless Preserves and for the edges of the oval on the larger piece with the baskets showing, I applied Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Evergreen Bough. I taped the 2 pieces back to together using some Scotch Tape and then using double-sided tape, I applied the full background piece to the base card. I inked around the entire outer edges with the Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Seedless Preserves.

I imported the image into Microsoft Word and printed it out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and then fussy cut with scissors. U-Line double sided tape was applied to the back of the image and it was popped up onto the card in the centre of the Oval. The sentiments were also brought into Microsoft Word and combined together. I created a rectangular shape and put it behind the type. I added an Aqua colour to fill in the background and then gave it a 4 pt border. Once it was printed out, I just cut around the edges of the rectangle with my cutter and then applied Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Evergreen Bough around the frame. I added some U-Line double sided tape and popped it up onto the bottom of the card. To finish everything off, I added in a few CC Designs – Dragon Dreams Enamel Dots.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiments: Baby Gnome – KLM Digital Designs

Inks: HP Printer Grayscale, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Evergreen Bough, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Seedless Preserves

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb., Echo Park – Hello Baby – It’s a Girl (6″x6″)

Grocery Gnomes!!

Sharing a card I made today using KLM Digital Design –  Grocery Gnome – Boy and Grocery Gnome – Girl from the new December release. I love these images as they are great for creating a card for our unspoken heroes who serve us everyday at the grocery stores.

I created the base using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. I cut the paper to the size of 5.5″ x 8.5″. Then I scored each side at 2-1/8″ each and folded them towards the centre. I die cut Photo-Play Autumn Greetings – Fruit Baskets paper using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies. This die cuts the paper to exactly 5.5″ x 4.25″. I then cut this piece into 2 using my cutter to create 2 equal pieces of 2-1/8″. Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint was used to ink around the edges of the 2 pieces. I applied these directly to the 2 front panels using liquid glue. I wanted to be able to keep the fronts closed, so I used my Cuttlebug and Pink Fresh Dies – Slim Stripes to die cut some green cardstock. I applied 1 longer piece to the left side at the top, 1 long piece to the bottom on the right side using liquid glue. Then I added a stripe on the remaining sides top and bottom with liquid glue to the length of 2-1/8″. On the inside of the card, I applied some 1/8″ tape to a small piece of the green stripes, cut at .5″ x .5″. This allows the longer flaps to slide into them to keep the card closed.

I imported the images and sentiment into Microsoft Word and printed them out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The images were coloured in with Copic markers and then fussy cut with scissors. U-Line double sided tape was applied to the backs of the images and they were popped up onto the card. Finally to finish it off, I applied small embellishments from Dress My Craft – Fruit Salad Slices with liquid glue across the top of the card.

The sentiment was die cut using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and my Cuttlebug. Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint was used to ink around the edges and double-sided tape was used to adhere it to the inside of the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiment: Grocery Gnome – Boy – KLM Digital Designs, Grocery Gnome – Girl – KLM Digital Designs

Inks: HP Printer Grayscale, Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint

Tea Time!!

Sharing a card I made today using KLM Digital Designs – Rose Teapot from the new June release for the image and sentiment. I have always loved tea and never liked coffee. I have a huge cupboard full of Herbal Teas and love how wonderful it tastes especially with a spoonful of natural unpasteurized honey. Spending time with my grandmother and having a cup of tea with her was always special and I still cherish those moments even though she left us for a better place a long time ago.

To make the card, I first imported the image and the sentiment into Microsoft Word. I created the green background behind the sentiment by creating a rectangle shape and moving it to the back behind it. Then I coloured the rectangle green using a custom colour of R233, G242 and B227 combined and printed out the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and the sentiment onto copy paper using my HP Printer. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and then fussy cut around it leaving a thin white border. I fussy cut around the sentiment as well and applied glue behind it and then attached it to the little sign. Then I attached the sign to some pink cardstock and fussy cut around the sign again. The background papers were all from P13 – The Four Seasons – Spring.

I cut the green patterned paper to the size of 5.75″ x 2.75″ and approximately 6″ x 3/16″ and inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Bundled Sage. The pink solid patterned paper is 6″ x 3″ and the large patterned background is 6″ x 6″. The pinks were inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Spun Sugar.

To assemble the card, I began with a base card of 6″ x 6″ using AC White Cardstock. Using double-side tape, I attached the large background directly to the base. Next I applied the larger pink rectangle to the main background using double-sided tape. The 2 green layers were also added using double-sided tape. For the sentiment and the image, 3M VHB – 2 sided tape was added to the backs of each and then attached to the card. To finish it off, I added some sequins using Craftin Desert Diva’s – Sherbert.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiment: Rose Teapot – KLM Digital Designs

Inks: HP Printer Grayscale, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Bundled Sage, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Spun Sugar

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, P13 – The Four Seasons – Spring 6″ x 6″, P13 – The Four Seasons – Spring 12″ x 12″, Pink Cardstock

Miscellaneous: 3M VHB – 2 sided tape, Craftin Desert Diva’s – Sherbert Sequins

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Teapot: RV66, RV63, RV55,RV52, RV00, RV000

Flower and Leaves: YG7, YG13, YG11, YG03, YG01, RV66, RV63, RV55, RV52

Hearts Warm!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using Toasting Marshmallows – T026 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Hearts Warm – G063 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This image brings back so many memories of going camping and sitting around the campfire roasting marshmallows. I gave my image coloured marshmallows, because growing up they were always my favourite! LOL!

To make my card this week, I started with a base of 6″ x 6″ using Recollections – Black cardstock. I taped Echo Park – Star Stencil on top of the cardstock and applied several Cosmic Shimmer – Opal Blaze Polishes using a spatula to create the nice starry background. I wanted my scene to look like the friends were in the woods, so I die cut some trees of various sizes using Nellie’s Choice – Nature Scene Dies – NSD001 – Mountains and Momenta – Cardstock. Once I die cut the trees, I added some Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Forest Moss and Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint to add some more colour to them. Then, I ran the trees through my Xyron Create a Sticker to make it easier to apply them later. I felt the scene also needed a moon, so I die cut one using Nellie’s Choice – Nature Scene Dies – NSD002 – Sky and then coloured it in and added 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to the back of it and set everything aside.

I stamped my image and sentiment using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock. I fussy cut around the top part of the image and then used a ruler to know where to cut the remainder of the bottom piece with my cutter. I coloured in the image using Copic markers and then used a black marker to go around all of the fussy cut part of the image and Copic marker – YG67 was used to go around the edges of the grassy area. For the sentiment, I used My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers to cut out the sentiment and background layer. I ran the sentiment through my Xyron Create a Sticker and applied it directly to the outer frame.

My card was now ready to assemble. I first adhered my starry background to a card base of AC – White cardstock sized at 6″ x 6″ using double-sided tape. Then, I used my coloured image to help me with the placement of where the trees would go. Since, I had already made stickers out of my trees, this was a fairly easy process. Once I was satisfied with their positioning, I applied 3M VHB – 2 sided tape, to the back of the coloured image and sentiment frame and attached them directly to the base card. Lastly, I attached the moon to complete the scene.

Just Bee-Cause!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using Hunny Bear – Q021 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Just Bee Cause – G055 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This little bear really loves his honey and so do I. We always went to the local farms or farmer’s market when it was open to buy pure unpasteurized honey. Now during Covid, we purchase it from the stores that they supply. Honey goes so well with tea too and has so many fantastic health benefits! Yum! Yum! So good! LOL!

To make my card this week, I started with a base of 5.5″ x 4.25″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. paper. Using a Picket Fence – Blending Brush I created the background using Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Fossilized Amber, Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw and Wild Honey. I cut 2 pieces of golden yellow cardstock and put them through my Xyron Creative Station to make them into stickers. Then, I ran them through my Cuttlebug using Memory Box – Honeycomb Corner die. This made it very easy to adhere the die cuts to the base card. Using Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, and my Cuttlebug, I die cut the bee-hive with Memory Box – Honey Bee Skep die. I used Copic Markers to colour the die cut and then using a small piece of Scotch Tape, I put the door back into place. Then I used 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to pop it up onto the base of the card.

I stamped my image using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock and the sentiment onto Yellow Cardstock. I coloured in the image using Copic markers and then fussy cut around it. I used a black marker to go around all of the edges of the coloured image. Using my cutter, I cut around the sentiment and then ink around all of the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wild Honey. Using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape, I attached the coloured image and sentiment to the base. Then I used, Copics Y17 and Y15 to create a shadow below the bee-hive and image.

To finish off the card I assembled some of the small die-cut pieces from the honeycomb in various parts of my card and added some little bees using Buttons Galore & More – Sprinkletz Embellishments – Bumble Bees. Also, I added some Ranger Glossy Accents to the honey seeping over the lid of the jar.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Hunny Bear – Q021 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Ella the Elephant!!

Today, I’m sharing a card using this adorable image from KLM Digital Designs new February release called Ella The Elephant. The image comes with 3 different sentiments. Like so many others, I’ve been missing my family and friends a lot due to Covid lockdowns, so I chose the “Miss You” sentiment for my card. Hopefully, times will get better this year and we’ll be able to see our distant families and friends again.

To make the card, I printed out the main image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my HP Printer. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the image and coloured it in with Copic markers.

I used AC White Cardstock for the base card size of 6″ x 6″ and ScrapBerry’s Tropics paper for the background. I ran the image through my Xyron Creative Station because I wanted it to lay flat on the background. I used my Cuttlebug to die cut the grass using Lawn Fawn – Grassy Hillside Borders and green cardstock. Then I edged around it using Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint. I applied double-sided tape to the back of the grass and applied it directly to the base, then I positioned the elephant in front and behind the grass.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiment: Ella The Elephant (KLM Digital Designs)

Inks: HP Printer Grayscale, HP Printer Black, Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, AC White Cardstock, ScrapBerry’s Tropics – 6×6 Paper Collection, Lime Green cardstock

Die Cut: Lawn Fawn – Grassy Hillside Borders

Tools: Cuttlebug, Xyron Creative Station

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Elephant: W3, W2, W1, W0, R22, R20, B04, B02, B00, C1

Ribbon and Flower: RV14, RV13, RV10, Y17, Y08

Time to Smell the Flowers!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Daffodil Bunny – SLF006 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image from the new August 2020 release and Smell The Flowers – G189 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This adorable little bunny is taking time out to smell the flowers. We have a really nice garden of flowers that my husband takes care of. I’m not a green thumb at all. LOL! It’s always nice to take a moment and enjoy the beauty of them.

To make my card this week, I started out with a simple white card base, sized at 6″ x 6″. The base background was also cut at 6″ x 6″ using Craft Consortium – Cottage Garden paper and then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. I just thought this paper went so well with this adorable image. I added the 2 colours of ribbon with some 2-sided tape and then adhered the entire background paper to the base with 2-sided tape.

The scalloped circle and inside image circle were both die cut using my Cuttlebug and Craftin Desert Diva’s Stitched in Circle Dies. The circle in between the 2 of them was die cut with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles. The edges of the large scalloped circle were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry. For the sentiment, My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies were used. The die was larger in depth, so I just die cut one side and then turned it around and only put it part way through my Cuttlebug to cut the other edge. It too, was then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. The image was coloured with Copic Markers.

To assemble the remainder of the card, the mid circle was attached directly to the large scalloped circle and then popped up with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. The image and sentiment were popped up on top with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape as well.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Daffodil Bunny – SLF006 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Smell The Flowers – G189 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Momenta – Cardstock, Crafts Sparkling Stickers – 02-3068629, Craft Consortium – Cottage Garden 6″x6″

Die Cuts: Craftin Desert Diva’s Stitched in Circle Dies, Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles, My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies

Tools: MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug, 3M VHB – 2 sided tape

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Bunny: E37, E35, E34, E33, E31, E30, R11, R02, R000

Bow: RV19, RV17, RV13

Beautiful Mindset

Today I’m sharing a CAS card that I made using  Nesting Bird (KLM Digital Designs).  This image from KLM Digital Designs new August release comes with 3 beautiful sentiments “Create Your Own Sunshine” and “Hope You Have A Beautiful Day” and the one I’ve featured with my card. These sentiments and stamp could be used for an Inspirational or Birthday Card! I just love the feeling of peace that this image gives me.

The image and sentiment were printed out with my HP Printer onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using High Quality Grayscale. This prevents the image from smearing when you go to colour it in. The image and sentiment were die cut with my Cutttlebug and dies from Essentials by Tattered Lace Dies – Easel Slider. The base of the card is 5.5″ x 5.5″. I cut some Momenta – Cardstock at the same size. To go around the background paper and die cuts, a Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint marker was used. This helps give the illusion that it is mounted on gold paper. I adhered the background directly to the base card with glue so that I could move it into place easier.

The image was coloured in with Copic markers and for the eye of the bird a Sakura Glaze – Black pen was used. Then, the completed image was glued directly on top of the background. The sentiment was popped up with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. To finish off the card, some Kraftin’ Kimmie – Rainy Day Dots were added.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiment: Nesting Bird (KLM Digital Designs)

Inks: HP Printer High Quality Grayscale, Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint, Sakura Glaze – Black

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Momenta – Cardstock

Die Cuts: Essentials by Tattered Lace Dies – Easel Slider

Miscellaneous: Kraftin’ Kimmie – Rainy Day Dots, 3M VHB – 2 sided tape, Cuttlebug

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Flowers: BV17, BV13, BV11, BV000, E15, Y38, Y18, Y04

Leaves: BG99, BG93, G21, YG23

Magical Friendship

It’s Wednesday, and this week, we are celebrating a brand new August 2020 Release with variety of fun new images! Be sure to go and check them out, you won’t be disappointed.

Today, I’m using Dreamy Dragon – SLF019 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for my main image from this new release along with the sentiment Magic Friendship – F234 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). This little dragon looks so peaceful and it looks like he’s found a new friend too!

To make my card this week, I started out with a simple white card sized at 5.5″ x 5.5″. Then cut Recollections – Petite Floral paper to the same size and taped it down onto the base card. Next, Kraftin’ Kimmie – Purple Petunia ink was used to ink around the card. Another piece was cut from the same paper collection at 1.25″ x 5.5″ and Kraftin’ Kimmie – Party Peach ink was used to ink around the edges. The cardstock was put through my Xyron Create a Sticker and then mounted on top of the base card.

Next, My Creative Time – Bunch of Fun Circle Dies and my Cuttlebug were used to die cut the scalloped circle background out of Recollections – Purple Passions and circle for the main image out of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The main image and sentiment were both stamped with Memento – Tuxedo Black Ink using my MISTI. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and then the sentiment was die cut using My Creative Time – Sentiment Label Dies. I traced around the outside of the die and then cut it out of the same Recollections – purple paper so that the die cut piece would have a thin border around it. I ran the sentiment through my Xyron and adhered it directly on top of it. I cut off one side of the label so that it would be flush with the edge of the card. The same purple ink used earlier was used again to edge around it. The image, sentiment and large scalloped circle was then popped up with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

Once this was done, Stickles – Purple was used to go around the edges of the large scallop and Stickles – Icicle was used to go around the main image. Lastly, a few flowers from Crafts – Mini Fabric Flower Picks were added to finish off the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Dream Dragon – SLF019 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

The Song of Birds

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Bluebird – TLF015 from High Hopes Rubber Stamps new release for the main image and Kiss of the Sun – H223 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. I just fell in love with this image and sentiment and knew it was the perfect combination for a slim line card.

Closer Look: Blue Bird

Closer Look: Poem

For my card this week, I stamped the images and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. The main image was die cut using my Cuttlebug and Essentials by Tattered Lace Dies – Easel Slider. The sentiment was die cut using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers. The image was coloured in with Copic markers. Once all of the colouring was completed, I went around all of the die cuts with a Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint pen.

I decided to make this a slim line card starting out with a white card base sized at 8.75″ x 4″. I just received some new Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders and just had to try them out. So I cut some Monte Marte – Watercolour Book – 190 GSM paper the same size and started playing. This background is the one that I decided to go with. I just loved the way it picked up some of the same colours as the flowers. The powder was easy to use. You just sprinkle some powder on the paper and spritz with water. You can’t really make it out in the photo, but the paper actually has a beautiful pearlesque look to it. I also went around all of the sides of the base with the Sharpie pen as well. I then popped up the sentiment and coloured image with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape and added some embellishments.

When I went to decorate the little flower embellishments with Stickles – Yellow, some accidentally went onto my background paper.  I decided I really liked the look and then just added it everywhere using the tip of my stylus.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Bluebird – TLF015  (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Kiss of the Sun – H223 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powder – Candy Pink

Die Cuts: My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies, My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers, Essentials by Tattered Lace Dies – Easel Slider

Tools: MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug, 3M VHB – 2 sided tape, Craft – Rhinestone Stickers, Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Flowers: RV17, RV04, RV02, RV000, E15, Y38, Y15, Y04

Sending Hugs and Prayers

Today I’m sharing a CAS card that I made using  Cherry Blossom Bird (KLM Digital Designs).  This image from KLM Digital Designs new release comes with 2 beautiful sentiments “Sending Hugs & Prayers” and “Sending Hugs” which could be used for an Inspirational, Get Well or Sympathy Card! I think we could all use a little hug! So I’m sending you all a virtual hug today!

For this card, I printed out the image with my HP Printer onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Grayscale. Then I coloured it in with Copic markers. Once the colouring was completed, I traced around all of the image with a Micron 01 Fine Liner to make the flowers and leaves pop.  I created the background surrounding the flowers using Copic YR20 and YR21. Then I used a Q-Tip and mottled the background using some rubbing alcohol and just dabbing here and there. Double-side tape was used to adhere the blue cardstock to a white base card cut at 5.5″ x 4.25″. The finished image was glued onto the card base and some Kraftin’ Kimmie Enamel Dots were added to finish it off.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiment: Cherry Blossom Bird (KLM Digital Designs)
