By The Moonlight!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Hallowe’en card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps By The Moonlight – TT047 for the image and Block Happy Halloween – FF049 for the sentiment. These little friends are ready for some spooky fun on Hallowe’en.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb., cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. I die cut the background from Stampin’ UP! – Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper to be the same size as the base. Using a combination of Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Black Soot, Villainous Potion, Seedless Preserves and Fossilized Amber and finger daubers, I added some extra colour to the background. Martha Stewart – Hallowe’en Washi Tape was placed across the bottom. I cut Doodlebug Design Inc. – Hallowe’en Parade cardstock to the size of 1-1/8″ x 4.25″. I ran this through my Xyron Create a Sticker and adhered it to the base card above the washi tape.

I stamped the main image and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. The main image was a little short for the full width of the card so I added some double-sided tape to a couple scraps of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock and adhered them to both sides of the fence. The image and sentiment were then both coloured in. The image was fussy cut and U-Line double-sided tape was applied to it. I popped it up onto the card and then cut off the excess from the fence on both sides.  I cut around the sentiment and then ran it through my Xyron Create a Sticker and applied it to a piece of Recollections – Black cardstock. Once again, I used my cutter to go around the sentiment, leaving a slight border. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the back of the sentiment and it was popped up onto the striped paper background to complete the card.

Best Friends

Sharing a card I made today using KLM Digital Design –  Fido and Friend Girl from the new August 2022 release. This image comes with 2 other sentiments as well, “Admit it, life would be boring without me”, which is something that I always say to my husband, LOL! “Always better together” is another sentiment included with this adorable image.

The bond and love between a person and their pet is an unbreakable bond. We tend to share our happy times, hopes, dreams and sad times with them. They always listen to us and make us feel even better no matter what comes our way. We also share a lot of these times with our human best friends too, but I think our fur babies tend to know all of our secrets more than anyone.

To make my card this week, I started with a 6″ x 6″ card base using AC White cardstock. Stampin’ Up – Flowers For Every Season Designer Paper was applied to the base using double-sided tape. I cut a piece of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock to the size of 4.25″ x 5.5″. With various Picket Fence Studio Blender Brushes and a mixture of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide – Speckled Egg, Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink – Cracked Pistachio, Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink – Salty Ocean and Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink – Salvaged Patina, I created my own background that I wanted to use behind the image. Then, with my Anna Griffin Empress Mini Machine and PinkFresh Studio Essentials – Blanket Stitched Oval, I die-cut an oval out of it and added some grass using Copic markers.

The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The image was coloured in and then I fussy cut all around the image and used a black marker to go around all of the edges. The sentiment was also fussy cut and then I applied Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber around the edges of it and also all around the sides of the card. Yellow ribbon and aqua ribbon were put together by first using double-sided tape to add the aqua portion to the yellow portion. Using my Xyron Create a Sticker, I ran the combined ribbon through it and then applied the ribbon to card, cutting off the excess on either side. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the back of the die cut, image and sentiment pieces and then they were all popped up onto the card. Finally, YNS Gumdrops – Sugar Rush Sparkly were added to complete the card.

Using PinkFresh Studios – Essentials: Blanket Stitched Square Die Set and my Cuttlebug, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I stamped the main image onto this die cut and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers and then U-Line double-side tape was applied to the back of it. This was popped up over top of the yellow square.

I fussy cut around the sentiment and inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet. I ran it through my Xyron Create a Sticker and applied it to the Momenta – Cardstock and fussy cut around it again. Spring is in the Air!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Turtle Stack – TLF035 for the image and Spring Is In The Air – FDG036 for the sentiment. Really loving the New Spring Release called “This and That” at High Hopes Rubber Stamps! This image could also be used for birthday’s too.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. I attached Scrapbook.com – Playful Smooth Cardstock to the base using double-sided tape. Using W R Memory Keepers – Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper – I cut the corners using the 1/4″. Using my Cuttlebug and Hero Arts – Infinity Dies – Rounded Rectangle, I die cut the following papers: Scrapbook.com – Jewels Smooth Cardstock, Your Next Stamp – Happy Spring cardstock and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I inked around the edges of the base card with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber and around the floral background with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint. I applied U-Line double-sided tape onto the floral background and solid green background and popped up both onto the base card. I stamped the image onto the small rectangle that I had cut out of the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black. The sentiment was also stamped with the same ink and then fussy cut. I inked around the sentiment with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint and set it aside for later. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers. I applied multiple layers of U-Line double-sided tape to the back of the sentiment and applied one layer to the back of the main image and popped them both up on the card. Work Hard, Dream Big!!

Today, I’m sharing a card I made using KLM Digital Designs –  Office Gnome from the new November release. This image also comes with 2 more sayings: “You got this!” and “Strive for progress, not perfection”. This card would also be great for someone you know just starting a new position or a recent graduate as well.

To make the card, I started with a base created with Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock cut and folded to the size of 5.5″ x 4.25″. I taped off the top of the card with some Post-It Note tape and inserted the Heffy Doodle – Cityscape stencil over top of the bottom half of the card. I taped off the bottom of the stencil and the sides to keep it place. Using multiple Picket Fence – Blending Brushes, I added in the buildings using Memento – Gray Flannel, Memento – London Fog and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Hickory Smoke. I removed the stencil and reapplied it over the card, this time using the stencil to cover the buildings. I re-applied the tape to the bottom of the stencil to keep it in place. Using stencils that I had previously created using Avery Elle – Pierced Clouds Die, I applied the clouds in using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber, Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean with Picket Fence – Blending Brushes. I removed the stencil and turned it around. This time using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Hickory Smoke to add in the windows on the buildings along with just a touch of Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. I moved the tape up to where the buildings ended on the bottom and once again placed it across the card. This time, I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Black Soot. The background was now complete.

The image and sentiment were both imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to die cut the image with a small margin around it. This was coloured in with Copic markers. My Cuttlebug, My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers were used to die cut the sentiment and black cardstock. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the backs of the images and 2 die cuts to pop-up them all up onto the finished background to complete the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiment:  Office Gnome – KLM Digital Designs

Inks: HP Printer Grayscale, Memento – Gray Flannel, Memento – London Fog, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Hickory Smoke, Fossilized Amber, Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean, Black Soot

Frightfully Delightful!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using Frankie – TT021 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Frightfully Delightful – FF054 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Frankie is all set for Hallowe’en this year with his little pumpkin full of candy. We used to use a pillow case when we were younger to get a lot more goodies when we went Trick or Treating. LOL!

To make my card this week, I began with stamping the image and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. Using my Brother Scan and Cut, I cut around the image leaving a small white border. I coloured in the image and then used Copic C0 to go around all of the edges. I fussy cut around the sentiment and applied Copic Y17 around the edges. I put this through my Xyron Create a Sticker and then applied it to some scrap yellow cardstock. Once again, I fussy cut around the sentiment.

Using my Cricut Explore, I die cut the Haunted House from the Holiday Cakes Cricut Cartridge and the Haunted Tree from the October 31 Cricut Cartridge. I decided to cut the second layer of the haunted house out of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card rather than solid cardstock. This gave me the chance to colour in the windows, doors, shutters and moon the way I wanted to in order to make it more spooky with Copic Markers. The moon was coloured in with a mixture of Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Hickory Smoke, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber and Picket Fence Studio Blender Brushes. Using glue, I pieced everything together for the Haunted house.

My card was now ready to assemble. I started with a 6″ x 6″ base card made from AC Cardstock – White. I cut the bats background to the same size from Echo Park – I Love Halloween paper pack. I applied this directly to the base with double-sided tape. Using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Hickory Smoke and a Picket Fence Studio Blender Brush I inked around all of the edges and across the top of the card to darken the sky a little bit. Next, I die cut the grass using my Cuttlebug, Lawn Fawn – Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper and Lawn Fawn – Simple Stitched Hillside Borders. I applied this directly to the bottom of the card using liquid glue. I applied glue to the haunted tree and haunted house and then applied both of them directly to background. Frankie and the sentiment were both popped up on the card using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Frankie – TT021 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Frightfully Delightful – FF054 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Hickory Smoke, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber

Just a Note!!

Sharing a card I made today using KLM Digital Designs – Birdhouse #1 from the new June release for the image and sentiment. This image also comes with 2 other sentiments: “Welcome To The Neighbourhood” and “Thinking of You”.

To make the card, I first imported the image and the sentiment into Microsoft Word. I printed out the image and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and a second copy of the image onto copy paper using my HP Printer. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and then fussy cut around the image on the copy paper to create a mask using my Brother Scan and Cut.

The rectangles were die cut using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers. I fussy cut around the sentiment and inked around the yellow rectangle and sentiment with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. I placed the mask over the coloured image and added in my clouds using some stencils that I created previously using Avery Elle – Pierced Clouds Die (D-05-01) and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mowed Lawn was added for the base background of the lawn.

To assemble the card, I began with a base card of The Paper Studio – Primary Simply Solids (4.25″ x 5.5″). I ran all of the elements through my Xyron Creative Station to create stickers out of them and so that they would lay completely flat when assembled. I added all of the layers directly to the base card. To finish it off, I added some CC Designs – Dragon Dreams Enamel Dots.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiment: Birdhouse #1 – KLM Digital Designs

Inks: HP Printer Grayscale, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mowed Lawn, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber

Birthday Celebration!!

Today, I’m sharing a miniature birthday card that I made using Dreamerland Crafts stamps called Meow Meow 01 – D20013 for the main image and for the sentiments Birthday 07 – DCS17058 and Birthday 08 – DCS17059. I always wanted to try this type of miniature card! I just love the way you get the 3-D effect when you open the card.  So much fun. LOL!

Inside the card:

To make this card I used Lawn Fawn – Centre Picture Window Card to create the base card out of Hot Pink cardstock. The same dies were also used to create the centre pieces and banner using Your Next Stamp Designer Paper Pad – Birthday Girl. The same paper was also used to create the background on the card, front panel and side panels using Lawn Fawn – Centre Picture Window Card Add-On dies. Your Next Stamp – Mini Balloon Trio Die Set was used to die cut the floating balloons and then I tied some black thread to the base of the balloons. I cut 3 small pieces of clear plastic about a 1/4″ wide and attached the double-sided tape to the back of the balloon and at the base of the plastic as well to be used later.

Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and also the sentiments onto the patterned pieces. I coloured the image in with Copic markers and then fussy cut around it.

I assembled the card using double-sided tape for each of the panels and centre pieces. I attached the balloons by putting 2 behind the presents and 1 from the top centre piece. Lastly, I added a little bit of double-sided tape to the bottom of the coloured image and attached it to the front of the main centre piece. For the sentiment on the front panel, I inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber and then popped it up using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. I added 2 balloons and used a black marker to create the tails for the balloons.

Card Recipe:

Just Bee-Cause!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using Hunny Bear – Q021 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Just Bee Cause – G055 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This little bear really loves his honey and so do I. We always went to the local farms or farmer’s market when it was open to buy pure unpasteurized honey. Now during Covid, we purchase it from the stores that they supply. Honey goes so well with tea too and has so many fantastic health benefits! Yum! Yum! So good! LOL!

To make my card this week, I started with a base of 5.5″ x 4.25″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. paper. Using a Picket Fence – Blending Brush I created the background using Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Fossilized Amber, Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw and Wild Honey. I cut 2 pieces of golden yellow cardstock and put them through my Xyron Creative Station to make them into stickers. Then, I ran them through my Cuttlebug using Memory Box – Honeycomb Corner die. This made it very easy to adhere the die cuts to the base card. Using Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, and my Cuttlebug, I die cut the bee-hive with Memory Box – Honey Bee Skep die. I used Copic Markers to colour the die cut and then using a small piece of Scotch Tape, I put the door back into place. Then I used 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to pop it up onto the base of the card.

I stamped my image using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock and the sentiment onto Yellow Cardstock. I coloured in the image using Copic markers and then fussy cut around it. I used a black marker to go around all of the edges of the coloured image. Using my cutter, I cut around the sentiment and then ink around all of the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wild Honey. Using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape, I attached the coloured image and sentiment to the base. Then I used, Copics Y17 and Y15 to create a shadow below the bee-hive and image.

To finish off the card I assembled some of the small die-cut pieces from the honeycomb in various parts of my card and added some little bees using Buttons Galore & More – Sprinkletz Embellishments – Bumble Bees. Also, I added some Ranger Glossy Accents to the honey seeping over the lid of the jar.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Hunny Bear – Q021 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Just Bee Cause – G055 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Fossilized Amber, Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw and Wild Honey.

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb., Golden Yellow Cardstock

Die Cuts: Memory Box – Honeycomb Corner – Style No. 99448, Memory Box – Honey Bee Skep – Style No. 98491

Create Sunshine!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using Goat Your Back – TT137 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Somedays – GG024 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This momma goat and her babes are out enjoying the warmer weather. Spring is finally here! We just planted our flowers this past weekend, or I should say, I helped pick them out and my husband actually did the planting. He has a green thumb. I definitely don’t. LOL!

To make my card this week, I started with a base of 6″ x 6″ using AC White Cardstock. I cut Bo Bunny – Sweet Moments Divine paper to be the same size as the base card and then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Crushed Olive. I attached this directly to the base using double-sided tape. Using Doodlebug Design Inc. – Spring Solid Assortment paper, I die cut the yellow rectangle, large green rectangle and small green rectangle using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers. The edges were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Crushed Olive and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. The same dies were also used to die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card for the main image. Gina Marie Designs – Nested Scalloped Stitched Rectangles were used to die cut Recollections – Petite Floral paper. The edges of this die cut were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Scattered Straw.

I stamped my image using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card die cut. I coloured in the image and background using Copic markers. The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I used my small cutter to cut around the sentiment and inked it with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Crushed Olive. I die cut the sun and clouds using Copic Marker X-Press It Blending cardstock and Nellie’s Choice – Nature Scene Dies – NSD002 – Sky. I coloured these with Copic markers. I added 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to the back of 1 cloud and the sun and attached them to the main image. The other cloud was attached using glue and tucked under the sun.

The card was now ready to assemble. I attached the large green rectangle to the patterned paper base with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. The main image and yellow rectangle were attached to the large scalloped rectangle using glue. Then the scalloped rectangle was attached to the large green rectangle with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. I attached the sentiment to the smaller green rectangle and popped it up using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. To finish off the card I used a few pop dots and some yellow flowers.

Have A Blessed Easter!

Today, I’m sharing an Easter card using Three Pane Easter – M043 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Blessed Easter Greetings – G151 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Happy Easter to family, friends and everyone!

To make my card this week, I started with Craft Smart Card Paper pre-made to 5.5″ x 4.25″. I stamped the images and sentiment using MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. Using my Brother Scan and Cut, I cut out each of the images. My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Die Layers and my Cuttlebug were used to die cut the sentiment and Craft Sparkling Stickers – Purple (02-3068629) paper.

The main images were coloured in with Copic Markers. The background papers were all from Your Next Stamp – Happy Spring (6″x6″) paper pad. I cut each section at 4″ x 1.5″ and then inked around all of the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet. The sentiment was inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber.

To assemble the card, using glue, I attached the 3 background papers onto the base card. Crafts ribbon was attached using double-sided tape. The images, sentiment and sentiment background were attached to the background papers using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. Lastly, to finish off the card, I cut 3 Easter eggs out of some watercolour paper that I had used various Cosmic Shimmer colours on previously. I inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet and glued them directly to the background paper.

Might Need Some Help!!

My older brother is a retired fireman. Today, I’m sharing this fun image and sentiment from KLM Digital Designs called Fireman Gnome that I made for his birthday.

To make the card, I first imported the image and sentiment into Microsoft Word. I sized both the image and sentiment to fit 5.5″ x 4.25″ and printed everything out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my HP Printer. I printed out a second image onto regular paper with just the fireman and then used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the image. The cut out image was used as a mask over top of the main image while I created the flames in the background. I used a variety of Tim Holtz inks listed below and the stencil from Honey Bee Stamps – Flames.

Once the background was completed, I coloured in the image with Copic markers. Then, I attached the image to the base using double-sided tape. My brother loved his card and I hope you do too!

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiments: Fireman Gnome (KLM Digital Designs)

Inks: HP Printer Grayscale, Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Carved Pumpkin, Fired Brick, Fossilized Amber, Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey

He Is Risen!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made an Easter Card using  He Lives! – R057 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and He Is Risen! – H137 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. I really love the serenity of this image. Here’s hoping that we will get to spend Easter with our loved ones this year.

To make my card this week, I used AC Cardstock for my base folded at 6″ x 6″. For the main background, I used this beautiful paper from Heartfelt Creations – Flowering Dogwood Collections cut to the same size as the base and attached it using double-sided tape. Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint was used to ink around all of the edges. My Creative Time – Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies was used to cut all of the ovals and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Die Layers was used to cut the small rectangle. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber was used to ink around the large scalloped oval and Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Dusty Concord was used to ink around the larger oval and small rectangle. I used 2 types of purple ribbon and ran both pieces through my Xyron Create a Sticker to make it easier to attach them to each other and then onto the card. I used some double-sided tape and glue to adhere the larger oval to the base. 3M VHB – 2 sided tape was used to add the larger oval.

I stamped the image and sentiment using Memento – Tuxedo Black and my MISTI onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in the image using Copic markers. For the sentiment, I found the white was too bright, so I coloured over it with a soft purple Copic marker – V01. I added 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to the back of the coloured image and placed it on top of the larger oval. For the sentiment, I doubled up on the 3M VHB – 2 sided tape before attaching it to the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  He Lives! – R057 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Happy Bee-lated!!

Sharing a bee-lated birthday card I made using this adorable image called Bee Gnome from KLM Digital Designs today. This adorable image also comes with 3 sentiments.

To make the card, I printed out the main image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my HP Printer. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the image and coloured it in with Copic markers. To add some honey coming out of the large jar, I used a Q-Tip and VersaMark ink to create the overflow and then added Emerald Creek – Seth Apter – Vintage Beeswax Baked Texture embossing powder. This was heat set using my Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. I did this twice. The image was put through my Xyron Creative Station to turn the image into a sticker. I attached the image to some black cardstock and fussy cut around the image again.

I used Hammermill paper to create the base shape of the card 8.5″ x 4.25″. I scored the paper at 4.25″. I opened up Microsoft Word and imported the background papers from Bee Digital Paper – Digital Designs and Art. For the main background I sized the image to to 5.25″ x 4″. I drew 2 large ovals within the Microsoft Word application and made 1 black and the other a honey yellow colour. I imported the sentiment from Bee Gnome (KLM Digital Designs) and placed it in front of the smaller oval. Then I printed out everything on my printer. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber was used to ink around all of the sides of the background paper.

To assemble the card, I added double-sided tape to the back of the background paper and attached it directly to the base. 3M VHB – 2 sided tape was added to the back of the image then popped up on the front of the card. Lastly, I added some bee embellishments from Buttons Galore & More – Spring Fling Collection – SF100 Busy Bees using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiments: Bee Gnome (KLM Digital Designs)

Inks: HP Printer Grayscale, HP Printer – Colour, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber, VersaMark

C’mon Baby Light My Fire!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Walker Walter – TLF013 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) and Walker Winnie – TLF012 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main images and Light My Fire – F154 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. I thought I would create a Senior’s Valentine’s card with these fun images. This could also be used for an Anniversary card too. After all, you’re never too old to be in love!!!

To make my card this week, I used Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. for my base at 4.25″ x 5.5″. I taped down the card onto a glass mat and then used the stencils Flames – Honey Bee Stamps to create the background using various Tim Holtz Distress inks which I have listed below.

I stamped both the images and sentiment using my Misti and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in the images using Copic Markers. Then I fussy cut around both images and in between the walkers. The sentiment was also fussy cut and I cut into 2 pieces to fit my design better. I added 2-sided tape to the back of my sentiments and then attached them to a small piece of Martha Stewart Crafts – Enchanted Woodland paper. Ran this through my Xyron Create a Sticker and then fussy cut around the sentiment again. I found the white too bright when I added it to the card, so I used Copic Y11 to give it some colour.

For the main images, once coloured, I ran both of them through my Xyron Creative Station and adhered them directly to the base. I used my Cuttlebug to cut some hearts out of Martha Stewart Crafts – Enchanted Woodland paper using Sizzix Framelets – Hearts Dotted die. Then I ran them through my Xyron Create a Sticker to change them into stickers and placed them directly onto the base. For the few spots on the images that I didn’t fussy cut, I used Copic markers YR23, YR16 and YR15 to fill in the white spaces.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Walker Walter – TLF013 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps), Walker Winnie – TLF012 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment Background: Light My Fire – F154 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Birthday Belle!

It’s Wednesday, and this week I’m sharing a CAS card featuring Birthday Belle – T076 from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) with the sweet sentiment Bummer – H263 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). Our birthday girl this week isn’t too keen on having another birthday to remind her how old she is, but she is still having fun blowing out all of the candles. LOL! I decided to colour her outfit and cake pink, because I remember how much my grandmother loved that colour.

To create the card this week, I stamped the main image and then coloured it in with Copic Markers. My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out die and my Cutttlebug were used to cut out the main coloured image and the hot pink background paper.

For the base card I cut some yellow cardstock 10″ long by 5″ high. It was then scored and folded in half to be 5″ x 5″. All of the edges for the base card and die-cuts were then inked around using the various Tim Holtz Distress inks listed below. I mounted the hot pink cardstock directly to the base using double-sided tape. Then the main image was popped up with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. Finally, to finish it off, I used some crafty dots by Crafts.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Birthday Belle – T076 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Bummer – H263 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Time to Smell the Flowers!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Daffodil Bunny – SLF006 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image from the new August 2020 release and Smell The Flowers – G189 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This adorable little bunny is taking time out to smell the flowers. We have a really nice garden of flowers that my husband takes care of. I’m not a green thumb at all. LOL! It’s always nice to take a moment and enjoy the beauty of them.

To make my card this week, I started out with a simple white card base, sized at 6″ x 6″. The base background was also cut at 6″ x 6″ using Craft Consortium – Cottage Garden paper and then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. I just thought this paper went so well with this adorable image. I added the 2 colours of ribbon with some 2-sided tape and then adhered the entire background paper to the base with 2-sided tape.

The scalloped circle and inside image circle were both die cut using my Cuttlebug and Craftin Desert Diva’s Stitched in Circle Dies. The circle in between the 2 of them was die cut with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles. The edges of the large scalloped circle were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry. For the sentiment, My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies were used. The die was larger in depth, so I just die cut one side and then turned it around and only put it part way through my Cuttlebug to cut the other edge. It too, was then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. The image was coloured with Copic Markers.

To assemble the remainder of the card, the mid circle was attached directly to the large scalloped circle and then popped up with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. The image and sentiment were popped up on top with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape as well.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Daffodil Bunny – SLF006 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Butterfly Hi!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Butterfly Chick – SLF007 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image from the new August 2020 release and Flutter’in By – F004 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This little butterfly has decided to take a moment to say “Hi” to this adorable little chick. Have you taken a moment to call someone and just “Hi” today?

To make my card this week, I started out with a simple white card base, sized at 6″ x 6″. I used the retired die cuts from Craftin Desert Diva’s – Inside Scalloped Squares and a mixture of Momenta – Cardstock and American Crafts – Basics paper for my background. The same die cut was also used to cut the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock. The Copic paper was then stamped on with my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured in the image with Copic markers.

For the assembly of the card, I first placed down the large background using 2-sided tape. Then I added in the 1st yellow inset using glue as it was easier to move around and get it into place. Lastly, I added in the last inset for the large scalloped square. For the smaller square, the coloured image and yellow cardstock were turned over and then taped together with some Scotch Tape. Then 3M VHB – 2 sided tape was used to pop it up into the centre of the larger square.

The sentiment was stamped with Memento – Tuxedo Black and then die cut with My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber was used to go around all of the edges. Then the sentiment was also popped up with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

To finish off the card I added on some butterflies and also a few Kraftin’ Kimmie – Polar Dots in a few places.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Butterfly Chick – SLF007 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Flutter’in By – F004 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Today I’m sharing this adorable Chef Gnome (KLM Digital Designs) image and sentiments from KLM Digital Designs new release. He has been very busy preparing your special birthday cake full of layers of joy and happiness for your birthday. Enjoy! Calories don’t count on your special day. LOL!

I printed out the main image and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my HP Printer. I then proceeded to colour in the image with Copic markers. This was my second time colouring him as the first one shifted on the mat of my Brother Scan and Cut and cut half of his hat off. UGH! Good news is I had already listed all of my colours so it was easy to colour him again. The joys of crafting. LOL!

For the main background, I used a white card base of 5.5″ x 4.25″. I used Echo Park – Let’s Party paper to create the background. I cut one piece at 5.5″ x 3″ and the other at 5.5″ x 1.5″ to give me some play room when I layered them onto the base card. I also edged around the background paper with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Cracked Pistachio.

Once the image was coloured in, I used my Brother Scan and Cut to create a pattern so that I could layer the finished image on top of it. I also used the same cutter to create the thin border around the image. For the sentiments, I fussy cut both of them and then layered them onto some yellow and black cardstock. I edged around the yellow cardstock with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber.

I popped up the image and sentiments with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to complete the card and added in a few Kraftin’ Kimmie Krafty Dots.
