Most Exciting Moment!!

Today, I’m sharing a Christmas card that I made using Dreamerland Crafts stamps called The Most Exciting Moment – D18035. This image reminds me so much of me and my brothers opening our gifts together every year in front of the Christmas tree.

To create this card I began by making a base of 6″ x 6″ using AC Cardstock – White. Recollections – Journey To The North Pole was cut to be the same size as the base and then adhered to the card using double-sided tape. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Rustic Wilderness was applied around the outside edges of the card with a sponge dauber. Using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out, I die cut Recollections – Burgundy and Hot Buy Craft Smart – Holiday Glitz Glitter Paper. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the backs of each of them and they were both popped up onto the centre of the card. Utilizing the Cuttlebug again and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock, the die-cut for the image and frame was cut out with Lea’bilities – Star Christmas Frame. TCW – Stardust Butter – Champagne was applied to the star frame and I set it aside to dry.

With a MISTI, the main image was stamped onto the centre frame die cut using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured it in with Copics and then with Scotch tape applied to the back of the image, rejoined it to the star frame. U-Line double-sided tape was added and the finished piece was popped up onto the centre of the card. YNS Gumdrops – Firefly Magic Sparkly Gumdrops and YNS Gumdrops – Firecracker Sparkly were added to the coloured image. Lastly, I placed the sentiment and 3 poinsettias to the card using Holiday Trendz – Foil Stickers – Seasonal Icons.

Paw-sitively Good!

It’s day 5 of the 2022 Cat Lovers Hop and today I’m sharing a Christmas card I made using Your Next Stamp –  Meowy Christmas – CYNS681. Having so much fun with this amazing hop and look forward to it every year.

I created a 5.5″ x 4.25″ card base using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. I cut the background to be the same size using My Favourite Things – Pawsome Prints paper and adhered it directly to the base using double-sided tape. Using my Cuttlebug, Creative Expressions – Festive Collection – Bold Snowflake Frame dies and Recollections – Blue Hues Shimmer Cardstock, I cut out the large snowflake and frame. Using some scrap dark blue paper, I die cut the large outline. I tore along the top of a small piece of Recollections – Christmas Inkjet Printable Glitter Paper and then die cut it with the larger cirlce die from the same die set. Using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Faded Jeans and a finger dauber, the edges were inked all around the base card. With liquid glue, I attached the large snowflake to the background border. I then attached the snow piece that I had cut previously with liquid glue as well. Then, using a Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen, I coloured in some snow in the sky.

Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and then I fussy cut around it. I added some U-Line double-sided tape to the image and popped it up into centre of the circle. The shadow was added using B52. The sentiments were both stamped onto the dark blue paper with VersaMark ink and then embossed with Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail. I cut out the larger sentiment with my cutter and the smaller one using my Cuttlebug and Gina K Designs – Sentiment Strips. I attached U-line double sided tape the sentiments and coloured image frame and popped up everything onto the card base.

U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the backs of three Creative Impressions – Brads – Snowflake – Winter with a double layer. They were all popped up onto the card and then YNS Gumdrops – Firefly Magic Sparkly Gumdrops were applied to the centres to finish the card off.

Couples Cruise!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Couples Cruise – S135 for the image and Wonderful Adventure – H164 for the sentiment. Cruising is starting up again and I can’t wait to go! Seeing this image reminded me of all of the fun times we’ve had and of all of the fun times to come.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock – White, cut and scored to be 6″ x 6″. Forever In Time – Textura Sky was cut to the size of 5-7/8″ x 5-7/8″ and was adhered to the base using double-sided tape. Craft Consortium – Clare Therese Ocean Tale was cut to the size of 5.75″ x 5.75″ and was popped up onto the base using U-Line double-sided tape. Using Forever In Time – Textura Sky cardstock and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers, the larger frame was die cut using the Cuttlebug. Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies were used to die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock using the Cuttlebug as well. Lastly, the little clouds were die cut using Lawn Fawn Cuts – Centre Picture Window Card dies, a scrap of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and my Cuttlebug.

I stamped the image onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI. Once the image and little clouds were coloured, I added in the little eyes using a Sakura Glaze – Black pen to make them stand out more. The nails in the ark were coloured in with a Pental Sunburst Metalic Med Gel Pen – Silver. A few white caps were created using a General’s Charcoal White 558 Pencil in the water.

The sentiment was also stamped using my MISTI onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock and then fussy cut into 3 separate pieces. I ran this through my Xyron Create a Sticker and adhered it to Recollections – Black cardstock. Once again, I cut around the sentiment, leaving a slim border. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the back of each of the sentiment pieces, image and blue rectangle and they were all popped up onto the card. For embellishments, I added in three YNS Gumdrops – Firefly Magic Sparkly Gumdrops and some blue and white twine using American Crafts Premium Ribbon.

Eat Cake!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a birthday card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Cupcake Hedgie – TDG035 for the image and Eat Cake – FDG026 for the sentiment. I think the expression on this little hedgie says it all! Birthdays should always be an excuse to eat some cake! LOL!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. I adhered Scrapbook.com – Brights Smooth Cardstock which was the same size as the base to the card using double-sided tape. Using my Anna Griffin Empress Mini Machine die cutting machine, I die cut the cake background paper with Your Next Stamp Designer Pad – Birthday Boy and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Blueprint Sketch was then inked around all of the edges. I add some U-Line double-sided tape and popped it up onto the base card. Again, using my Empress die cutter, I die cut some golden yellow cardstock using My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out. I added some U-Line double sided tape and added it to the patterned background. Waffle Flower – Nesting Square dies were used to die cut the smaller square out of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and My Creative Time – Bunch of Fun Circle Die was used to die cut the circle from some Red cardstock.

The image and sentiment were stamped onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in the image with Copic Markers. I added Stickles – Star Dust to the cupcake to make the layers sparkle. A 1.5″ Circle punch was used to cut out the sentiment. U-Line double sided tape was added to the backs of the image and sentiment. I popped up the image onto the smaller square and the sentiment onto the red circle. I added another layer of U-Line double sided tape to the right side of the red circle and a little bit of glue to the left side and popped it up over top of the main image. To finish off the card, I added on some YNS Gumdrops – Firefly Magic Sparkly Gumdrops and YNS Gumdrops – Sugar Rush Sparkly Gumdrops.
