Sharing a birthday card I made using my new digital stamps from Simply Betty.

For this card, I decided to use:

Sentiment: Penny Black – “T for Transparent” – Sprinkles and Smiles clear set.

Squares are cut out using dies from My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out.

Background paper for small square is from: Party Girl by Samantha Walker.

Main background paper is from DCWV – The Birthday Wishes Stack. 6 x 6″ paper pad.

Used Spectrum Noir Markers to colour the image:

Face: FS2, FS4, TN4, FS3, FS9

Eyes: GT1, GT2, GT3

Lips: DR4, DR6, CR7

Hair: TN2, TN4, TN9

Tongue: PP1

Surprise everybody!!! I am guest designer for today on Miss Kate Cuttables. I was so happy when I discovered her site a few years back. I check back everyday to see what the new Freebie file is and I use her cuts a lot in my cards. When I found out that I was being offered a guest spot on her site, I was SUPER excited. I love doing all kinds of crafts and especially cardmaking. I make a lot of Birthday and Christmas cards every year. For today, I decided to showcase some Christmas cards I made using these 2 files from Miss Kate Cuttables. (Santa Paws and Frosty Fun).

I cut out the images using my Cricut Explore and Cricut Design Space. Then used my Xyron to assemble the pieces easier. After assembling the items, I used Clear Wink of Stella on “Santa”, the holly and the bow. On the leaves, I used Wink of Stella – Green 040.

For the face on the cat, I used Peachy Keen Stamps – PK110 Here Kitty Kitty Face Assortment. Used StazOn – Jet Black ink and Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder. Brightened up the eyes using Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen. Adding a touch of pink, green and red markers to accentuate the eyes and mouth.

Patterned paper is from Bo Bunny –  Silver and Gold Collection Paper – 6 x 6 in pad.

Square stitched backgrounds is cut out using My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out. Went around paper background edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Vintage Photo.

Used Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint to go around the edge of the card. Recollections Christmas Ink Jet Printable Glitter Paper for the snow scene and igloo. Aleene’s Glitter Snow below the feet and igloo. Extra snowflakes from Holiday Time – Snowflake Stickers – Forever in Time.

Background paper – Recollections – Blue Christmas – 6 x 6 in. paper pad. Edging – Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Tumbled Glass.

Coffee Time Kitty

Back to share another card with you. It is a freebie from Craftin Desert Diva’s called Coffee Time Kitty. I was hoping to share it in the Coffee Blog Hop too, but I was a little late! LOL!

To make this card, I printed out the image in grayscale and then coloured the image in using PrismaColor Premier pencils and Gamsol. I cut out the image using My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out and then went around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Dusty Concord.

For the fancy border, I used Spellbinders Lacy Squares – S4295.

The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Diva’s – Got Coffee stamps. Created flag by using die cut from Craftin Desert Diva’s – Flag Banner Dies.

Added in some ribbon on the side made by American Crafts.

Sympathy Card

Hi There,

Sharing a sympathy card that I made using My Creative Time – My Thoughts Are With You Stamp and My Creative Time – Just Because.

To make the flowers in the vase, I stamped the image on some regular paper and then cut out the images to create a mask. Then I stamped the foreground flowers first on watercolour paper with Jet Black – Stazon Ink. Next I put the mask over them and then stamped the background flowers.

Coloured in the flowers with Tim Holtz Distress Ranger Ink and watercolour brush.

Purple flowers: Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet

Pink Flowers: Worn Lipstick, Festive Berries and Candied Apple

Leaves: Mowed Lawn

Water in Vase: Salty Ocean

Stems: Zig Marker – Clover

Flower Centers: Stampin Up – More Mustard

Die cut the frame with My Creative Time – Stitched Squares Inside and Out. Outlined cut with Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint.

Sentiment – My Creative Time – Inspire Die Cut and My Thoughts Are With You Stamp.

Background paper – Recollection Signature – Kaitlin.

Retirement Card

Hi There,

Sharing a retirement card that I made for a wonderful lady that just retired at our workplace. She was very pleasant to work with and we all wish her the best. I made this card special for her from our team.

I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink using the stamp from High Hopes Rubber Stamps – Wild Party T102.

I used my Spectrum Noir markers to colour all of the characters in.

Sentiment is from Peachy Keen Stamps – SY-902 Hillbilly Holler Set 3. I stamped it with Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and then embossed with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder.

The frames were cut out with My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out.

Background patterned paper is from DCWV The Birthday Wishes stack, 6 x 6″ paper.

Beary Merry Christmas Bears

Hi There,

Just getting an early start on this years Christmas cards. I make over 40 cards every year!

All cards are made using Too Cute By Jessica – Little Lovelies A Beary Merry Christmas. .svg design is by Jessica Owens.

I uploaded the patterns for the bears into Cricut Design Space and cut using my Cricut Explore.

Inked all of the edges for the bears and accessories and then ran the pieces through my Xyron’s for easy assembly. Highlighted the eyes with Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen.

For the first bear, sentiment was stamped using Versa Fine – Onyx Black and Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder. Sentiment is from Jaded Blossom – Season’s Tweetings.

Used Craftin Desert Diva’s – Flag Banner Dies. I ran the die half way through my Big Shot and then turned it around to get the ribbon edge on both sides.

Patterned Paper – American Crafts – Merry and Bright 6 x 6″ pad and American Crafts – Holiday 6 x 6″ pad. The top patterned paper was cut out using Craftin Desert Diva’s Fancy Frames. I also used the same die for the foam used to make this a shaker card. Filled the shaker card with Creatology Glitter.

For my second card, I used American Crafts – Peppermint Express 6 x 6″ paper pad and May Arts Ribbon.

Highlighted ribbon on bear and present with Wink of Stella – GL Green 040.

Edged  around large present with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mowed Lawn.

Sentiment is from the same .svg file.

For the last bear, I used the paper from American Crafts – Peppermint Express 6 x 6″ paper pad as well. I inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mowed Lawn.

Put the green paper from Craft Smith Green through Cutttlebug using Snow Dots Embossing Folder.

Squares cut out with My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out.

Sentiment from Craftin Desert Diva’s – Holly Day Punnies.

Bow – May Arts Ribbon.

Hubby Easter Card

Hi There,

Back again to share the Easter card that I had made for my husband from me and our cat “Boo”. He loved it!!!

I made the card using Too Cute by Jessica Hallowe’en Cats by Jessica Weible Illustrations, LLC. and DoodleBug Ballerina by Faery Ink.

The faces on the cat was stamped with Memento – Tuxedo Black ink using Peachy Keen Stamps PK-110 Here Kitty Kitty Face Assortment.

The ballerina was coloured in with Spectrum Noir markers. Used Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen for the whites on the eyes.

Background paper is from Recollections Easter Printed Stock and also Cardstock Paper – All Seasons 6 x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm).

Used My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out to cut out the borders.

Back again to share a card that I made using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Polar Hug SS001 by Dina Gerner.

Loved this stamp the moment I saw it. Stamped the image with Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and then cut it out.

For the background I used watercolour paper and used various colours to try and create the Northern Lights.

I then used Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Black Soot, Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord and Broken China.

To colour in the image I used Copics – BG05, B05, BG15 and B24 on the hat and scarf.

Penguin – Spectrum Noir – IG3, IG5, IG7 and Copic 100. Feet and beak, YR07. Pompom, Liquid Applique. Wink of Stella – Clear on scarf and hat brim.

Polar Bear, Blue shadow – PC904 – PrismaColor Premier and Gamsol. Tongue – Copic R37. Nose – Sakura Gelly Roll 06.

Sentiment – Craftin Desert Diva’s – Polar Pals. Embossed with VersaMark and Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail.

I cut using my die cut from Craftin Desert Diva’s – Outdoor Landscape Dies. Snow on ground is Recollections Christmas Ink Jet Printable Glitter Paper.

Square cuts are from My Creative Time – Stitched Squares Inside and Out.

Background paper is – American Crafts – “Holiday” – 6 x 6 in. (15.2 x 5.2 cm)

Snow falling is made from Craftin Desert Diva’s – Across the Border stamp,  VersaMark and Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail.

Silver Edging around outside of card – Pilot Silver Marker – Medium Point.

The sentiment was typed out on my computer in Word. I saw this sentiment at “One Crazy Stamper” on another card created by Sheri Burry and loved it!
