26th Anniversary

Hi There,

Today I’m sharing a card that I made for my wonderful husband for our 27th Wedding Anniversary. I took multiple images to make him up a funny card. Which he absolutely loved and hopefully you all will too!!! It was a lot of fun to make and I used a combination of Kenny K Stamps that were monthly freebies I had received and also Simply Betty Stamps which I recently purchased.

To make the card, I used Microsoft Word and my HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 which allows me to do double sided printing. YAY! I printed out the verses on 2 full pages and then glued the 2 backing together. I coloured all of the images and then fussy cut around them.

Faery Ink Birthday Card

Hi There,

Sharing a birthday card that I made using the fairy for this month’s challenge over at Faery Ink using Fairy2 image.

FaeryInkBDCard

Here is a close up:

FaeryInkBDCard-CU

I printed the image and coloured it in using my Spectrum Noir markers. Details of colouring image are below.

Then I fussy cut out the image.

I wanted her to look like she was floating in water and mystical, so I used watercolour paper and Ken Oliver Crafts Color Burst Turquoise and Ultramarine Blue. As the paper was drying I sprinkled some Sea salt onto the paper and just love the effect that it created. I also used my hot gun to dry the paper a little faster.

Positioned circle die from Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles to cut out the portion of the background that I wanted.

Next I cut out the dark blue background using AC Specialty Paper 5 x 7 foil with die cut from My Creative Time – Bunch of Fun Circle Dies.

Used Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles to cut out the larger circle and then embossed the circle with We R Memory Keepers Polka Dot Embossing Folder. Inked around the edges with Stampin Up! Tempting Turquoise Ink.

Lastly, I used the new free embossing folder that came with Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine – Issue 148. I used DCWV Cardstock Neutrals paper and then once the image was embossed I used very light sandpaper to go over the image and bring out the white core to enhance the image.

I layered all of the above using 3M VHB tape.

Lastly, I stamped “Happy Birthday” from Jennifer Ellory – Bake a Cake Clear Stamps with VersaMark ink and Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail

Spectrum Noir Markers Used:

Hair: GB1, GB3, GB6

Eyes: LG2, Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen

Hi there,

Back to share a card that I made using Too Cute By Jessica Bears from  Too Cute by Jessica – Birthday-Girl-Bears

Sentiment on front of card is from JadededBlossom stamps “Party Animal”.

I made the card so that the 2 front panels opened up to reveal the sentiment.

Here are some close-ups.

GirlBDyBear BDBoyBear

The bears were really fuzzy, but I put them through the Xyron, so they look a little bit scruffy. LOL! I still like how they turned out though. Hope you do too!

My aunt really loved her card. Made me very happy!

I used Cricut Design Space and my Cricut Explore to cut out all of the pieces. For the bears, I used the scoring tool and mulberry paper. Then I just outlined the pieces so that I could see them better. Wet around the outlines and pulled my bear pieces apart to make them fuzzy. Added some brown chalk to give the edges some added dimension.

On the inside, I added this sentiment from  “Whatnot Sentiments Set Three – Your Next Stamp”.
