Cat & Mouse Party!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a birthday card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Cat & Mouse Party – TDG036 for the image and Dot Happy Birthday To You! – F065 for the sentiment. These animals are ready to party, are you?

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock – White paper cut and scored to be 6″ x 6″. Using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out, I die cut 3 squares out of Doodlebug Design Inc. – Fairy Tales, Recollections – Spring Inks paper and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I also used Doodlebug Design Inc. – Fairy Tales 6″ x 6″ paper for my main background. I applied this directly to the base card using double-sided tape. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Evergreen Bough and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry were both used to go around the edges of the die-cut paper. I applied U-Line double-sided tape to the backs of the aqua coloured square and patterned paper and popped them both up onto the background.

The image and sentiment were both stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers. I die cut the sentiment using my Anna Griffin Empress Mini Machine and My Creative Time – Stitched Zig Zag Ties. Copic marker RV06 was used to go around the edges. I attached the coloured image to Recollections – Spring Inks paper using double-sided tape and then cut a slim border around the image. I applied U-Line double-sided tape to the back of this piece and popped it up into the centre of the patterned square. 4 layers of U-Line double-sided tape were attached to the back of the sentiment on the bottom portion and liquid glue was applied to the top. I popped this up onto the card at the bottom. Lastly, to finish the card off, I applied Creative Impressions – Metallic Balloon Brads by adding 2 layers of U-Line double-sided tape. I popped them onto the sentiment and the card and drew in some string for the balloons. Stickles – Star Dust was added to the cake and confetti.

Coffee With A Friend!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Let’s Chat – TLF030  for the image and Perfect Blend – FLL022  for the sentiment. I don’t drink coffee, but really loved these little gnome buddies having a cup of coffee and getting a chance to chat.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. I cut Creative Memories – Hot Fudge cardstock to be the same size as the base card and attached it using double-sided tape. Your Next Stamp – The Perfect Blend cardstock was die cut using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers and my Cuttlebug. I popped this up onto the base background using U-Line double-sided tape. The large square was die cut using Waffle Flower – Nesting Square dies and Creative Memories – Hot Fudge cardstock. The smaller square was cut using My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The image was then stamped with my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. I stamped the sentiment onto Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock and die cut it with My Creative Time – Stitched Zig Zag Ties. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers.

The card was now ready to finish being assembled. I applied U-Line double-sided tape to the backs of all of the remaining pieces and popped them up onto the card base.

Lucky Dog!!

Sharing a card I made today using KLM Digital Design –  Fido’s Home from the new January 2022 release. We grew up having dogs in our family. They were all spoiled and loved very much! They may have thought they were the lucky ones, but deep down, I think we were.

I created the base using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock to the size of 5.5″ x 4.25″. For the background, I used Kraftin’ Kimmie – Pawprints Stencil, a Picket Fence – Blending Brush and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Pumice Stone to create the paw prints. For the hearts, I used the same stencil, a small foam brush and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Barn Door. With my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Stitched Squares Inside and Out, I die cut the red square from Forever In Time – Texture Rouge cardstock.

I imported the image and sentiment into Microsoft Word and printed them out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I die cut the image using Waffle Flower – Nesting Square dies and the sentiment with My Creative Time – Stitched Zig Zag Ties. I inked around the edges of the sentiment die cut with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Barn Door and popped it up onto the base card using U-Line double-sided tape. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and the sky was created with Lawn Fawn – Cloudy Stencil and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean and a mixture of Copic blue markers. The completed image was popped up onto the base card using U-Line double-sided tape to finish it off.

Card Recipe:

Dancing Gnome!!

Sharing a card I made today using KLM Digital Designs –  Dancing Girl Gnome from the new November release. This image also comes with 2 more sayings: “Chin up princess or the crown slips” and “Happy Birthday”.

The base was created with Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock cut and folded to the size of 5.5″ x 4.25″. I printed out Nana Vics Digitals – Ballerina #2 Digital Paper and cut it to size using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies. I inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet and then adhered it to the base using double-sided tape and some glue. Stickles – Purple was added around all of the edges of the patterned paper background. I imported the image and sentiment into Microsoft Word and printed them out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. My Creative Time – Stitched Zig Zag Ties and my Cuttlebug were used to die cut the sentiment and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet was used to ink around all of the edges. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and then fussy cut with scissors and outlined around the edges with a black marker. I ran this through my Xyron Creative Station and applied it to Momenta – Cardstock. Once again, I fussy cut around the image and then ran it through my Xyron Creative Station. This time, the image was placed onto black cardstock. I fussy cut around it and then added U-Line double-sided tape to the back of the image and sentiment. Both the image and the sentiment were then popped up onto the card. I added in a few Kraftin Kimmie – Festive Dots to finish off the card.

Sharing a card I made today using KLM Digital Designs –  Logging Gnome from the new November release. This image also comes with 2 more sayings: “What Wood I Do Without You” and “Don’t want to get sappy, but I love you!”.

To make the card, I first imported the image and sentiment into Microsoft Word and printed them out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I cut 2 strips to the size of 1.5″ x 6″ from Echo Park Paper Co. – Let’s Lumberjack paper and adhered them to the top and bottom of the base using liquid glue. I cut out the 2 larger hearts using Sizzix Framelets by Stephanie Barnard – 562676 – Hearts Dotted. I appplied the large heart directly to the base using liquid glue. For the smaller heart, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Brushed Corduroy was applied using a Picket Fence – Blending Brush. This was then popped up onto the larger heart using U-Line – 2 sided tape. I used by Brother Scan and Cut to create a small white border around the gnome image and coloured him in. Once coloured, I popped him up onto the card using U-Line – 2 sided tape. My Creative Time – Stitched Zig Zag Ties and my Cuttlebug were used to die cut the small hearts from Echo Park Paper Co. – Let’s Lumberjack paper.
