Somebunny Loves You!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Bunny Blossoms – TDG024 for the image and Some Bunny – FDG032 for the sentiment. I just love this super adorable little bunny taking time to smell the flowers. Spring is here, but the winter snow keeps playing tricks on us still. LOL! We just had another snow storm the other day. I thought April was supposed to bring Spring showers, not Spring snow!!!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock – White, cut and scored to be 6″ x 6″. I cut the Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock background paper to the size of 6″ x 6″ and adhered it directly to the base using double-sided tape. Crafts Designer Paper – 02-3093268 was cut to the size of 5.75″ x 5.75″ and inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Black Soot. I applied U-Line double-double sided tape and popped the paper onto the gold backing. Using my Couture Creations – Go Power and Emboss and Waffle Flower – Nesting Square dies, I die cut another square from Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I popped up the gold square onto the bunny background and stamped the main image onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black.

The image was coloured in with Copic Markers. I though I’d go out of my comfort zone this week to create this sky with a variety of different colours. I thought it still needed something more so I added in some clouds using a PrimaColor Pencil – White. I also added in some extra fur with PrimaColor Pencil – Beige. Once, I was satisfied with the sky, I added U-Line double-sided tape to the back of it and it too was popped up onto the card. The sentiment was stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black. I fussy cut around it and then applied it to a small piece of Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock using repositionable tape. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the image with a slight border. I coloured around the circle stamped image with RV000 and then used a black marker to go all around the edges. I applied U-Line double-sided tape and popped it up onto the gold die-cut. Lastly, 2 layers of the U-Line double-sided tape were applied to the right side only of the sentiment and glue to the left and attached it to the base coloured paper to finish off the card.

Hoppy Easter Bunny!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made an Easter card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Carrot Patch – TDG029 for the image and Hoppy Easter! – E038 for the sentiment. We always looked forward to Easter time every year because we knew we would be colouring all of the Easter eggs with our mom in all different colours. It was always such a fun time!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb., cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. I die cut the background papers from Echo Park – Welcome Easter cardstock using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and my Cuttlebug. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Spiced Marmalade was used to ink around all of the edges of both die cuts. I applied U-Line double-double sided tape and popped both papers onto the base card. Using the same set of dies, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. I stamped the main image onto this die cut and the sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers. I used a black marker to add in more details to the butterflies and also to add a couple of antennas. U-Line double-side tape was applied to the back of the coloured image and it was popped up into the centre of the orange rectangle. Lastly, to finish it off, I added in a few YNS Tropical Paradise Gumdrops.

Time For Warm Socks!!

I’m so happy to join the team of PPCF designers! Today is day 3 of our event for sponsoring CCDesigns on Passionate Paper Creations and Friends FB Group. The card I’m featuring for this event is the New Socks Clear Stamp Set.

To make the card, I began with the base 12″ x 6″ of AC White Cardstock. This was scored at 6″ x 9″ to create an easel card. Closed, the card measures 6″ x 6″. I cut Hammermill – Premium 100 Colour cardstock 6″ x 6″ and coloured in the flooring and base boards with Copic markers.  For the background wall, I cut Momenta – Cardstock to the size of 6″ x 5.5″. I created the large window using Paper Roses – Victorian Window die, my Cuttlebug and Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. paper. I traced around the die and then manually cut the background from Pebbles – Home for Christmas paper pad. I did the same procedure for cutting Judi-Kins Embossable Window Plastic. I glued the plastic window to the die cut and added Stickles – Diamond to the back of the window along the frames. Once the Stickles was dry, I added some trees from Make Special Cards XMas 2015 – Issue 3 to the back of the plastic window and glued the snowy background onto the plastic window and frame to complete the scene.  This was attached directly to the wall background using glue.

The characters were coloured with Copic markers and I added 3M double-sided tape to the back of the images after fussy cutting around them to pop them up on the page. Using the same paper that I used for the wall background, I cut to be 4″ x 1.75″ and popped up onto the bottom half of the base card using 3M double-sided tape (2 layers). The sentiment was cut to 3-13/16″ x 1-9/16″ and attached directly to the previous cut. To complete the card, the 6″ x 6″ scene was attached to the bottom half of the 3″ score previously done. The edges of the green paper were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Rustic Wilderness.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiments: New Socks Clear Stamp Set – CC Designs

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb., AC White Cardstock, Pebbles – Home for Christmas paper pad – 36 papers- 6 x 6 in (15.2 x 15.2 cm), Momenta – Cardstock, Judi-Kins Embossable Window Plastic 4.25″ x 5.5″

To make my card this week, I started with Craft Smart Card Paper pre-made to 5.5″ x 4.25″. I cut each section at 4″ x 1.5″ and then inked around all of the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet. The sentiment was inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber.

To assemble the card, using glue, I attached the 3 background papers onto the base card. Crafts ribbon was attached using double-sided tape. The images, sentiment and sentiment background were attached to the background papers using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. Bunny Blooms!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made an Easter card using Bunny Blooms – T063 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Script Easter Greetings – F093 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Easter is almost here and this little bunny is about to brighten someone’s day!

To make my card this week, I started with Arches Watercolour Paper cut to 5.5″ x 4.25″. I ran this through my Cuttlebug using Tranquil Tulips Stencil from Simply Cards and PaperCraft. Next, I played with multiple Cosmic Shimmer products and spritzed some water to create this shimmery background. I let this dry overnight. I wanted the embossed tulips to show up more, so using a finger sponge, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet was brushed over top of the raised edges. And of course, there is never enough shimmer so I added some Irridescent Glitter Dust spray as well. Then I glued this directly to the base card of Hammermill Premium 100 lb. Cardstock folded at 5.5″ x 4.25″. Lastly, I inked around the edges with the same ink.

The main image Bunny Blooms – T063 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) and Script Easter Greetings – F093 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) sentiment were stamped using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The main image and sentiment were coloured in with Copic Markers.

To assemble the remainder of my card, both the image and sentiment were attached to the background using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. C.C. Designs – Dragon Dreams Enamel Dots were added to complete the card.

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made an Easter card using Easter Fun – Q023 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Hoppy Easter – H245 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. To make my card this week, I used AC White Paper for my base folded at 6″ x 6″. I combined 2 separate pieces of purple ribbon and some patterned ribbon eggs together using double sided tape. The sides were all inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet. The egg embellishments were die cut using my Cuttlebug and Lawn Fawn – Mini Easter Eggs. The top layers were cut from Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and coloured with Copic B01 and BG32. The bottom layers were cut from Crafts – Sparkling Stickers  – 02-3068629. I added some glue to the top layer and attached them to the base egg. I attached these directly to the base.

The background for the bunny image was cut using Whimsy – Nested Frames Die Set. The background die was cut from Hot Buy – Recollections – Jewel Tones and them main image cut was from Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The base frames were attached to the background using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. The main image Easter Fun – Q023 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) and Hoppy Easter – H245 sentiment were stamped using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. The main image was coloured in with Copic Markers and the sentiment was coloured in using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Clear – Wink of Stella was brushed over top to make it sparkle.

The aqua colour paper is from Hot Buy – Recollections – Jewel Tones. I created this die cut using my Cuttlebug and Gina Marie Designs – Loopy Rectangle Die Set.

Time to Smell the Flowers!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Daffodil Bunny – SLF006 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image from the new August 2020 release and Smell The Flowers – G189 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This adorable little bunny is taking time out to smell the flowers. We have a really nice garden of flowers that my husband takes care of. I’m not a green thumb at all. LOL! It’s always nice to take a moment and enjoy the beauty of them.

To make my card this week, I started out with a simple white card base, sized at 6″ x 6″. The base background was also cut at 6″ x 6″ using Craft Consortium – Cottage Garden paper and then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. I just thought this paper went so well with this adorable image. I added the 2 colours of ribbon with some 2-sided tape and then adhered the entire background paper to the base with 2-sided tape.

The scalloped circle and inside image circle were both die cut using my Cuttlebug and Craftin Desert Diva’s Stitched in Circle Dies. The circle in between the 2 of them was die cut with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles. The edges of the large scalloped circle were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry. For the sentiment, My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies were used. The die was larger in depth, so I just die cut one side and then turned it around and only put it part way through my Cuttlebug to cut the other edge. It too, was then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. The image was coloured with Copic Markers.

To assemble the remainder of the card, the mid circle was attached directly to the large scalloped circle and then popped up with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. The image and sentiment were popped up on top with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape as well.

Card Recipe:

These little bunnies are getting prepared for Easter. I remember making painted eggs every year in the kitchen with my mom and brothers as a child. Do you have an Easter tradition of painting eggs too?

To create the card I coloured in the image and then popped it up using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. I also popped up the sentiment. I found some old cardstock and cut out some of the little eggs and then edged around each of them with various Tim Holtz colours listed below. The card is 6″ x 6″.

Love Every Little Moment

Welcome Back Dreamerland Craft Fans!

Today, I’m sharing a card that I made using Mix and Match Clear Stamps (DC19095) (Dreamerland Crafts)!  Love the images for this stamp. There are so many different scenes that can be created. I chose to do a night scene with the 2 best friends sharing the serenity of the night sky.

To make this card, I first die cut some Bristol paper and then drew in the hills with light pencil and traced around the stamps to get the general idea of placement. I created a masked image of the bear and bunny using Inkadoo Stamping Mask Paper and Post-It Note for the hills and cut them both out. Next I erased all of the lines so that you could barely see them and stamped the bear and the bunny image directly onto the Bristol Paper. Next, I mounted the mask of the characters and hills that I had cut out previously over top of the stamped images so that they would be protected while I coloured in the sky.

To do the sky I used a mixture of Tim Holtz inks listed below and PrismaColor pencils. Then I blended all of the colours together using Gamsol and a blending paper stump. I repeated the process with the PrismaColor pencils several times.

Once the sky was completed, I removed the stencil for the grass and proceeded to colour it in using the same technique that I had used for the sky.

Lastly, I removed the mask for the bear and bunny and coloured them in. I added in some small trees using a Black Prismacolor pencil.

I popped my finished image, back into my MISTI again and stamped the sentiment using VersaMark. I also stamped in the stars in the sky and embossed everything with Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail. I also used a brush and tapped some of the white embossing powder all over the sky. Then heated it with my Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Lastly, I stamped and embossed the seagulls using VersaFine – Onyx Black and Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder. I coloured them in using Black PrismaColor pencil and then added in some highlights on the wings.

I popped up the coloured image and blue cardstock with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Welcome Back Dreamerland Craft Fans!

Today, I’m sharing a card with you that I made using DCS19089 – Mix and Match Clear Stamp  (Dreamerland Crafts Clear Stamps) for the main image and sentiment and 2018 Christmas Trees & Houses – M18312 (Dreamerland Crafts Clear Stamps) for the trees in the background! I thought this little bear was just so adorable, so I thought I would make him pulling his little forest friend on a little walk through the forest!

I used the centre die cut from Creative Expressions by Sue Wilson – Festive Collection – Pointsettia Mini Background – CED3049 to cut out the area I wanted to stamp my image on. I used Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI to get a nice clean image. The first step was to stamp the bear, sled and bunny. Next I used Inkadoo Stamping Mask Paper and stamped the 3 images again. Next, I added the masked images over top of the images that were previously stamped on the base image.

The second step was to stamp in the trees. I wanted to give the impression that some trees were further back, so I inked the tree stamp with Memento – Bamboo Leaves and stamped once and then immediately again using the same stamp. I performed this several times across the background. Once all of the trees were in place, I removed the masking and was ready to colour in my images.

Before adding snow to the sky, I stamped on the sentiment using VersaMark ink and Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail. Then I added in the snow flakes using Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen.

The colours used for each character and the trees are listed below. The final step for the main image was to add in some sparkle on the trees and snow on the ground. For the glitter on the trees I used Quickie Glue and DecoArt Glamour Dust. For the snow below the trees, sled and bear, I used VersaMark ink and WOW! Embossing Glitter – White Puff Twinkle and touches of Stickles – Diamond.

Lastly, I die cut the background frame using Recollections – Christmas Inkjet Printable Glitter Paper and Creative Expressions by Sue Wilson – Festive Collection – Pointsettia Mini Background. I added glue to the back of the die cut and mounted it on top of Crafts Sparkling Stickers – 02-3068629. Then I popped up the main image in the centre using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.
