Father’s Day card for my Father-in-Law

Hi There and Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads out there! We went over to visit my father-in-law and family tonight and we knew ahead of time that he was going to BBQ. I thought it would be fun to make him this BBQ-ing Dragon from High Hopes Stamps and create my own sentiment inside.

Inside the card:

Stamped image High Hopes Rubber Stamps “Flame Boilin” – Q104 with Memento – Tuxedo Black inkĀ onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card Cardstock.

Coloured image with Copic markers.

Die cut – Die-namics – Exclusive Designs from My Favorite Things – MFT-652 – Cross-Stitch Rectangle ST and went around with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Black Soot.

Stamped background with High Hopes Rubber Stamps “Flame Boilin” – Q104 and Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder. Then used Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Oxide – Fossilized Amber, Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Oxide – Fired Brick and Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Oxide – Spiced Marmalade. I was hoping to make the background look like a huge flame.

Edging around card – Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Candied Apple

Happy Father’s Day to my Dad

Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads out there today!

Sharing a card that I made for my dad who LIVES to fish! Saw these characters on the Marjorieanne site and just knew that I had to have them.

It reminded me of when I used to go fishing with my dad when I was younger.

Used Cricut Explore andĀ and fileĀ “fishingwithdad_marjorieanndesigns039887” .svg cutting files for characters, scene and fish, on the front and inside of the card. Inked around all edges with various Tim Holtz Distress Ink colours and used Xyron Create-a-sticker to aid in putting all of the little pieces together.

Created clouds and background water with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean and Avery Elle – Custom Steel Dies – Made in the USA – D-05-01 PiercedCloudsDie.

Background paper – Gone Fishing PA-0909 – American Traditions Designs.

Inside the card.

Card background is actually white, but it shows up as a light grey here.

Sentiment is from – Your Next Stamp – Keepin’ it Reel – CYNS388.

My dad loved it! Hope you do too!

Puppy Birthday Card

Hi There,

Sharing a birthday card that I made using Whimsy Stamp – Cupcake Bliss on the front of the card.

Here is a close-up:

Background Paper – DCWV – The Birthday Wishes Stack – 6 in. x 6 in., Momenta – Cardstock

Inked around edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mermaid Lagoon and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber.

Used some Yellow and White twine.

Die cut using – Your Next Stamp – Stitched Rectangle Die Set (YNSD214).

On the inside used Whipper Snapper Designs, Inc. – #MY928 – Relax to the Max. – Fell in love with this stamp and thought it went so great with the dog on the front of the card.

Stamped images using my “Misti” and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink.Ā  Coloured in the images using a mixture of Spectrum Noir and Copic markers.

Panda – Masculine BD Card

Hi There,

Here to share a card that I made for my friend who loves bears. I decided to make him a Panda card using the digi stamp from The Paper Shelter – Most Adorable Panda.

Coloured in the image with a mixture of Spectrum Noir Markers and Copics. I love the way that the Spectrum Noir markers blended so great on the eyes. Hope you do too!

Here is a close-up of the Panda.

For the background papers I used Bo Bunny – Felicity (12 in. x 12 in.) double sided paper.

Hi Everyone and Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms and Grandmas out there.

This year for my mom, I made this card with bears. Images were stamped using Memento – Tuxedo Black and then coloured in with a mixture of Copic Markers and Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

Birthday Dragon and Fireman

Hi There,

Sharing a card that I made for my older brother’s birthday this year. He’s a fireman and we are all very proud of him. Thought I’d make him a humorous card this year.

On the front, I used stamp from High Hopes – Warm Wishes S106.

For the inside IĀ typed up my own sentiment on the computer and then cut around it and attached it to the card.

Fireman is from Kit and Clowder September 2016 monthly markers class. Stamp is Fireman Luka by La La Land Crafts and was coloured in with Copics.

For the inside I wrote a little sentiment from “Boo” to our vet and his wonderful staff.

Kittens are from Kadoodle Bug DesignsĀ – DS Cute Kitty Valentine.

For sentiment on front page used imported image from Cricut Cartrige – Ā Holiday CakesĀ Ā – Happy Valentine’s DayĀ Ā #M3F6FBĀ  into Cricut Design Space and then cut with Cricut Explore.

Cut out frame for image with Spellbinders S4-353 – Labels Twenty-Four and then edged with Tim Holtz – Festive Berries.

Coloured both images with a mixture of Copic and Spectrum Noir markers. Used Sakura Glaze – Black for his eyes, nose and whiskers.

They loved it! Hope you do too!

Sharing the card that I made for some friends and co-workers this year.

To create this card I imported the image from: Cricut Cartridge – Wall Decor and More: Rooster #M4683B andĀ Ā #M41A33.

I uploaded the images into Cricut Design Space and then cut with my Cricut Explore.

I used a mixture of stamps from Jaded Blossom (Chinese New Year) and Craftin Desert Diva’s (Dragon Festival) for the front and inside of the card.

Stamped using Versamark andĀ Ranger SuperĀ FineĀ Gold Embossing powder.

Miss Kate Cuttables – Guest Designer

Surprise! Ā I’m aĀ guest designer for Miss Kate Cuttables again this year! Miss Kate Cuttables offers awesome freebie designs everyday and I always look forward to them. IĀ also love their designs and their new paper is great too! I just had to have it as it goes so well with their designs!

I LOVE Christmas and make over 55 cards every year to give to family and friends. I thought why not start early this year and so I made a Christmas themed card for my guest spot.

Using my Cricut Explore and Cricut Design Space I uploadedĀ Miss Kate CuttablesĀ “boy-winter-deer-1016” (https://www.misskatecuttables.com/products/product/boy-winter-deer.php). I thought he was sooo cute! Added some Ranger Glossy Accents to his nose and eyes.Ā  Wink of Stella – GL Green 040 was used on the ear muffs.

Also, uploaded one of my all time favourite trees from Miss Kate Cuttables – snowy-tree-10-07-15 (https://www.misskatecuttables.com/products/product/freebie-of-the-day-snowy-tree.php). I’ve used this tree on so many of my cards. Added some glitter with Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Pen.

The background paper is from Miss Kate Cuttables – “mkd-winter-woodland-paper-collection” – winter woodland reindeer.jpg (https://www.misskatecuttables.com/products/product/winter-woodland-paper-collection.php). Printed out the digitalĀ image on my HP Printer and then sized it to 6″ x 6″ and edge around the sides with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint.

Behind the reindeer the paper is from American Crafts – Holiday collection – 6 x 6″ (15.2 cm x 15.2 cm). Used My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out to cut out the square and then edged around the sides of the small square with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peacock Feathers

The hills were made with Recollections – Christmas Inkjet Printable Glitter Paper – 8.5″ x 11″ and Lawn Fawn – Lawn Cut dies.Ā  Then used Ā Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Tumbled Glass along the tops of the hills.

“Merry Christmas” ribbon is by Celebrate It!

Background was created using watercolour paper and Ken Oliver Crafts – Color Burst – Fushcia, Turquoise and Ultramarine Blue.

Sentiment was stamped with Versamark – Onyx Black and Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder. Stamp is from Jaded Blossom – SuperSized Birthday Greetings.

Happy New Year Card for Vet

Happy New Year’s Everyone!

Just completed this year’s card for the vet for New Year’s from Boo! I saw this stamp from the Paper Shelter Happy Meow Year – Digital StampĀ and laughed. I knew I had to use it to make a special card from “Boo” our beautiful little lady.

All images were coloured in with Copic alcohol markers. I brought in the background paper and then merged the digi onto it using Adobe Elements.

For the inside, I used a digi stamp from http://sliekje.blogspot.ca/. She creates some of the most wonderful cat digi’s and their free.

Happy New Year!

Fell in love with this card by “The Paper Shelter – Holy Night – Digital Stamp” and just had to have it.

I brought the image into Adobe Elements so that I could merge it with the background paper which is part of this stamps collection. Inspired by the original artwork ofĀ  “The Paper Shelter – Holy Night – Digital Stamp“, I coloured in the image in with Copic markers.

Used Tim Holtz distress inks to ink the edges and Pilot Silver Marker for edging around sentiment.

For the Sentiment I used VersaMark ink and Ranger Embossing Powder White ā€“ Extra Fine Detail.
