Todd’s 62nd Birthday!

Today, I’m sharing a Birthday card that I made for my husband’s 62nd Birthday! The card was created using images and sentiments from Art Impressions – Born To Ride – 5044, Gotta Garden Set – 5000, Birthday Laugh Lines – 5115 and Dance It Out Set – 5278. My husband loves working out in the garden, so I thought this would be a fun card to make him!

To create the card, I began with the card base of 4.25″ x 5.5″ using Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb. With a Cuttlebug, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card with My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers. With Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI, I stamped the images onto the die cuts and coloured them in using Copic markers.

I inserted the 2 images back into my MISTI and added the sentiments using Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink. Once this was done, Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder was applied and then heat embossed with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Recollections – Black cardstock was cut to the size of 3.75″ x 4.75″ and the images were applied to these using double-sided tape. Both images were then applied to the base card using double-sided tape. Lastly, I used a sentiment from “Hunkydory – Birthdays Perfect Poetry” Foiled Paper Pad and created a backing out of Recollections – Black cardstock for it as well before adhering it to the inside of the card with double-sided tape.

My husband loved his card and I hope you do too!

Sleeping Polar Bear!

Today I’m sharing a Christmas card that I made using Pink Gem Designs – Sleeping Polar Bear and a mixture of sentiments from Lawn Fawn – Penguin Party and Lawn Fawn – Winter Skies which I thought went great with this super adorable image!

The image was printed out with my HP Printer onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using High Quality Grayscale and then die cut using a Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and then a White Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen was applied to create the snow falling from the sky. Stickles – Frosted Lace was applied to the top of the snow, snow drifts, igloo and on the white parts of the hat. I just love the way it glistens!

The base card was created to the size of 4.25″ x 5.5″ out of Hammermill – Premium 110 lb. cardstock. Using some scrap Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb., I inked the paper using a finger dauber with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Festive Berries that I still had on it. Then using a MISTI and VersaMark ink, I used Lawn Fawn – Penguin Party for the “Merry Christmas” sentiment and Lawn Fawn – Winter Skies for the “Hope your dreams come true” sentiment. Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail was applied to both sentiments and then the embossing powder was heated with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Next, I used a cutter to cut close to the sentiment on the Recollections – Black cardstock and a Cuttlebug with Nellie’s Choice Multi Frame Die – Round Lily – MFD030 to cut the smaller sentiment. Gina Marie Designs – Nested Scalloped Stitched Rectangles were used to die cut the background border out of Crafter’s Companion Luxury Cardstock – Red Matte finish. Lastly, with a cutter, Stampin’ Up – Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper was cut to the same size as the base card and then edges were inked around using a finger dauber and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Blueprint Sketch.

The card was now read to assemble. U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape was applied all of the die cuts and sentiments. They were then popped up and layered onto the card and image.

Today I’m sharing a Christmas card that I made using KLM Digital Designs – Window Kitty from the new September 2024 Release.

The base card was created to the size of 4.25″ x 5.5″ out of Hammermill – Premium 110 lb. cardstock. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Evergreen Bough was applied around the outside edges with a finger dauber and a blender brush was used to apply ink around the inner edges of the card base.

The image was printed out with my HP Printer onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using High Quality Grayscale. With a Cuttlebug, Sizzix Rounded Tags were used to die cut the image and Recollections – Black cardstock. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and a Prismacolor Premier black pencil was used to add in some finer fur lines, the whiskers and to blacken around the mouth, nose and eyes.

The card was now ready to assemble. U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape was applied to the image and large rounded tag. Both were applied together and popped up onto the card. A sentiment from Creative Expressions – Wordies Sentiment Sheets – Traditional Christmas was cut out and adhered to the card using Scrapbook Adhesives – 3D Foam Strips. Lastly, the snow flakes were added with a Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen.

Kick Your Feet Up!

Today I’m sharing a birthday card that I made for my husband’s birthday back in August. Image and sentiment is from Art Impressions – Sit Back Laugh Lines – 5421.

My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Die was used to die cut the rectangle out of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using a Cuttlebug. The image was then stamped onto the paper using a MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. It was coloured in with the Copic markers listed below and then adhered to some blue cardstock using liquid glue. I cut around the image rectangle leaving a thin border and then repeated the process with black cardstock. The sentiment was stamped with Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink  onto blue cardstock and then Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder was applied. A Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool was used to heat emboss the powder. This was fussy cut and adhered to black cardstock using liquid glue.

The base of the card was created using a 5.5″ x 4.25″ base made from Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb.cardstock. I applied birthday patterned paper to the base which was cut to the same size and the edges were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Faded Jeans. I centred the layered coloured image rectangle onto the card using liquid glue and then popped up the sentiment using U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape in the top left corner to complete the card. Inside the card were more fun sentiments regarding getting older. LOL!

My husband loved it and I hope you do to!

Monster-ous Birthday Wishes!

Today I’m sharing a birthday card that I made using the image and colouring class from Kit and Clowder – Bonus Class – July – August 2024 – Cute Monster. Had so much fun with this class learning how to blend colours and make spiky fur!

The image was printed onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using a HP printer set to High Quality Grayscale at the size of 3.75″ x 3.24″. It was coloured in using the instructional video from Alyce from Kit and Clowder and then fussy cut.  The cut image was applied to Recollections – Black cardstock and fussy cut again. The sentiment from Your Next Stamp – Silly Monsters was applied using Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail and VersaMark ink onto Recollections – Black cardstock. A MISTI was used to get a clear stamped image. The embossing powder was heat embossed with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. The sentiment was then fussy cut.

A card base at the size of 5.5″ x 4.25″ using Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb. cardstock was created. Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peacock Feathers was applied all around the inside edges of the card with a blender brush. The patterned monster paper from Forever In Time – Party Monsters Perfect Prints was cut to the size of 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ and Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Shaded Lilac was applied all around the edges using a blender brush and finger dauber. This was adhered directly to the base using liquid glue. U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape was applied to the monster and the sentiment and both were popped up onto the centre of the card. Lastly, Kraftin’ Kimmie – Underwater Dots and Stickles – Diamond were applied to the finished card to add some bling.

Pilgrim Gnome!

Today I’m sharing a Thanksgiving card using KLM Digital Design – Pilgrim Gnome from the new August 2024 release that I made. This image also comes with 2 more sentiments, “There is always something to be thankful for” and “Oh my gourd, you’re handsome”. Canadian Thanksgiving is only a couple of months away, time to start preparing now!

The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and then fussy cut leaving a thin white border. I wanted the image to stand out on the card, so I attached the image to Recollections – Black cardstock and repeated the process. The sentiment was trimmed down to 3.75″ x  1″. The edges were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Aged Mahogony and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. The sentiment was attached to Recollections – Black cardstock using liquid glue and trimmed down to 3-7/8″ x 1-1/8″.

The card was now ready to assemble.  I began with a 5.5″ x 4.25″ base card using Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb.. Thanksgiving paper was trimmed to be the same size as the base and was attached with liquid glue. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Aged Mahogony and a finger dauber were used to ink around all of the edges of the card. U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape was applied to both the image and sentiment and both were popped up onto the card.

Today I’m sharing a CAS card using KLM Digital Design – Pilgrim Gnome – Girl image and sentiment from the new August 2024 release. This stamp also comes with 2 more sentiments, “Hello Pumpkin” and “Oh my gourd, your awesome”. Thanksgiving is not that far off, but as the sentiment says, even without the season, “There is always something to be thankful for”.

To create this card, I began with a 6″ x 6″ card base using AC Cardstock – White. Craft Consortium – Happy Harvest patterned paper was cut to the same size and adhered to the base using double-sided tape. I thought this paper was the perfect background for the new stamp and sentiment.

I printed out the main image and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using an HP Printer. After colouring in the image with Copic markers listed below, I  fussy cut around it and the sentiment. The sentiment was put through a Xyron Create a Sticker and attached to Recollections black cardstock. Then I fussy cut around it again. With a black marker, I inked around the entire image to give it a solid black line. U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape was applied to the backs of the image and sentiment and they were both popped up onto the card.

Today I’m sharing a card using KLM Digital Design – Pre-colored Toad 1 from the new July 2024 release. This stamp is pre-coloured and can be used in so many different ways. You just have to use your imagination!

I began with a card base of 5.5″ x 4.25″ using Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb. cardstock.  For the background, I cut Reminisce – The Menagerie Kit paper to the sizes of 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ and 2 pieces at .5″ x 4-1/8″. Recollections – Green cardstock was cut to the size of .75″ x 4-1/8″.  All of the edges were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint and then applied to the base card using double-sided tape.

The image was imported into Microsoft Word and I wanted the toad to be sitting on a lily pad, so within Microsoft Word, I added in an oval shape and then a triangular shape. The oval shape was made green and the triangle shape was made white. I positioned the toad where I wanted it to go and then printed out the combined image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card.  Once the completed image was printed, I fussy cut around the image and attached it to some Recollections – Green cardstock with some tape and liquid glue. Once again, I fussy cut around the image. From the patterned paper, I also cut a couple of the lily pad flowers and popped them up on the lily pad using U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape. Using a Cuttlebug, Lawn Fawn Lawn Cuts – Henry’s 123s, Lawn Fawn Lawn Cuts – Henry’s ABCs and Recollections – Black cardstock, I die cut the sentiment twice and then glued the pieces together. For the exclamation mark, I die cut 5 so that the dot would be at the same height as the other letters.

The card was now ready to assemble. I applied U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape to the finished image and popped it up onto the centre of the card. Liquid glue was added to the centre of each letter and they were adhered to the base card.

Pansies Floral Basket!

Today I’m sharing a card using KLM Digital Design – Floral Basket – Pansies from the new July 2024 release. This stamp also comes with 2 other sentiments, “You Grow Girl!” and “Let me plant one on ya!“.

I began with a card base of 5.5″ x 4.25″ using Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb. cardstock. Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock was cut to the same size and then adhered directly to the base using double-sided tape. Kate Knight – Spring Fling Designer Paper was cut to the size of 5.25″ x 4″. With a finger dauber and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Prize Ribbon, I inked around  the outer edges. The finished piece was applied to the base using double-sided tape.

The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card.  I wanted 2 of the top flowers to pop, so I cropped them in Microsoft Word and printed them out as well. Copics were used to colour in the image and then it was fussy cut leaving a thin white border around it. I applied this to Recollections – Black cardstock and then fussy cut again. This piece was then applied to Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock and the fussy cut one last time. The sentiment was fussy cut and applied to Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock and fussy cut again. With Recollections – Blue cardstock, I cut a piece to be the size of 5.25″ x 1.25″ and then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Prize Ribbon. From the Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock, I cut 2 strips of 5.5″ x 1/8″.

The card was now ready to assemble. I applied U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape to the finished image, sentiment and 2 flowers and positioned them to where I wanted then to go. With double-sided tape, I adhered the blue strip to the bottom of the card. Liquid glue was applied to the 2 thin gold strips and they were placed above and below the blue strip. The sentiment, flower basket and 2 flowers were then popped up onto the card. Lastly, I added in some bling using Buttons Galore & More – Blueberry gems.

Little Girl Gnome and Pup!

Today I’m sharing a card using KLM Digital Design – Little Girl Gnome & Pup from the new June 2024 release that I made. This image also comes with 2 more sentiments, “you’re so doggone cute!” and “I wuff you”. All my life, I grew up with pets. They always brought so much joy and laughter to the home and were all so unique!

To make this card, I began with a 5.5″ x 4.25 base card using Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb.. Recollections – Black cardstock was cut to the same size as the base and was adhered to the card using double-sided tape. Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock was cut to the same size as the base. I spritzed the front and back of the cardstock and then using Kraftin’ Kimmie – Pawprints 2 stencil, a rubber mat and my Cuttlebug, I embossed the paper. With the stencil still in place on the paper, using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Black Soot and Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Candied Apple and small blending brushes, I inked the pawprints and hearts. Once this was done, I cut the paper to the size of 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ and adhered it to the black background using double-sided tape.

The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The image and sentiment were coloured in with Copic markers. The freckles were applied to the cheeks using Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen and the eyes and nose for the dog were added using a Sakura Glaze – Black pen. Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen was applied for the dot in the eyes and accent on the nose for the dog.

My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out was used to die cut the image. I applied a border around the image and sentiment using Recollections – Black cardstock. U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape was applied to both the image and sentiment and they were centered on the card.

Work Hard, Travel Harder!

Today I’m sharing an outdoors camping card using KLM Digital Design – Camper Boy from the new April 2024 release. This image also comes with 2 more sentiments, “Make S’more memories” and “Let’s go camping!”. One way to see the world is to just hook up the camper and just start driving, letting the adventure take you to all different locations to explore.

I began making my card by creating a 5.5″ x 4.25″ base made from Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. I cut Recollections – Black cardstock to the same size and adhered it directly to the base. Authentique – “Rustic Three” paper was cut to 5.25″ x 4″ and then all edges were inked with a finger dauber and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Aged Mahagony. This was then centred onto to the black cardstock with double-sided tape.

The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The image was coloured in with the Copics listed below and then fussy cut. The sentiment was cut using a cutter and then it was attached to black cardstock. Once again, I used the cutter to leave a small trim all away around it. U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape was applied to the image and sentiment and they were both popped up onto the card.

Mandala #2

Today I’m sharing a Thank You card using KLM Digital Design – Mandala #2 from the new November release. Mandala’s are always fun to colour because you have so many colour choices to choose from. Each can be unique!

Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb. was used to create a 5.5″ x 4.25″ card base. The image was imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in the image with Copic markers listed below and then traced around the entire image using a PrismaColor Premier Black  pencil to make the colours pop. Wink of Stella – Clear was added to some of the purple and little orange pieces in the Mandala. Then I fussy cut around the entire Mandala leaving just a little bit of white space.

I decided to create my own background and to that I used, Recollections – Black cardstock cut to the same size as the base.  Another piece was also cut to 1″ x 4.25″ and placed over top of the black cardstock so that when I coloured in the stencil, that part would remain solid black. I placed the Heffy Doodle – Fancy Foliage on top of the cardstock and then using a finger dauber applied Lisa Horton Crafts – Cloud 9 Interference – Sapphire Gold Shimmer ink to create the glittery background. Couture Creations – You Go Girl – 2 Leaves was die cut from Forever In Time – Glam Glitter Cardstock – Ombre Pastel using a Cuttlebug. “Thank You” was die cut using PaperCrafter Today – 15 Die Cut Sentiment Set dies and Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock.

The background was applied directly to the base card using double-sided tape. The Mandala was popped up onto the top part of the card using 3M Double-Sided Foam Tape. The leaves were cut into 2 and then placed around the Mandala using liquid glue. A PinkFresh Essentials Glitter Drop: Lagoon was applied to the centre of the Mandala and the “Thank You” sentiment was applied to the base using liquid glue.

Graveyard Gnome – Witch!

Today I’m sharing a Hallowe’en card using KLM Digital Design – Graveyard Gnome – Witch from the new September 2023 release. This image also comes with 2 more sentiments, “You totally rock, Ghoulfriend!” and “If the broom fits…”.

Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock was used to create a 4.25″ x 5.5″ card base. Craft Consortium – Ink Drops Vivid Craft Papers was cut to the same size as the base. With my Cuttlebug and PhotoPlay – Say It With Stamps – #6 Haunted House Coverplate Die, I die cut the haunted house out of Recollections – Black cardstock and then cut along the bottom of the fence. I traced the fence bottom onto another piece of Recollections – Black cardstock and fussy cut it. The 2 pieces were then glued together. With some scraps of yellow cardstock, I cut out a few pieces and glued them to the back of the house. The entire house and base were attached to the  Vivid Paper background with glue.  Now that the pieces were assembled, I adhered the finished background directly to the base using double-sided tape. Lastly, the top edges were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Black Soot and a finger dauber. The moon was also cut out using the same die cut set from Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card.

The image was imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock and the sentiment onto Recollections – Purple Passions cardstock. The image and the moon were coloured in with Copic markers. I fussy cut the image and then used a black marker to go around all of the edges. With U-Line Double-Sided Foam tape, the image and moon were attached to the front of the card. The sentiment piece was cut to the size of 4″ x 5.25″ and it was adhered to the inside of the card using double-sided tape. Lastly, to finish the card off, I added in 3 little bats onto the front of the card and 2 shoes on the inside using Stampendous – class a’peel stickers – Cats & Bats Black.

Graveyard Gnome – Vampire!

Today I’m sharing a Hallowe’en card using KLM Digital Design – Graveyard Gnome – Vampire from the new September 2023 release. This image also comes with 2 more sentiments, “Can’t wait to hang with our fang gang!” and “Happy Halloween, My creepy little friend”.

Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock was used to create a 5.25″ x 5.5″ card base. Recollections – Black cardstock was cut to the same size and adhered directly to the base using double-sided tape.

The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. I printed out an extra copy of the image onto regular copy paper as well and fussy cut around it so that I could use it as a mask for later. I also cut a 2″ circle from a piece of Post-It Note so that I could use both pieces as a mask.

The image was coloured in with Copic markers. With the reverse mask from the circle, I placed it over top of the image and drew in the moon, using the mask as a guide. I added in the features of the moon with Copic markers and then blended everything together with a Copic Colorless Blender. I was now ready to do my background.

I took the mask that I created earlier of the image and placed it over top of the coloured image. Next, I tood the circle that I created from the Post-It Note and placed it over top of the image mask. This allowed me to cover both the moon and the image. With Washi Tape, I covered the bottom part above the sentiment. With multiple blending brushes and Tim Holtz Distress Inks listed below, I created the glow of the moon and the sky. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Carved Pumpkin and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Spiced Marmalade were combined to turn the sentiment orange. Once this was completed I moved the Washi Tape so that it covered the sentiment. This time, I blended in the green Tim Holtz Distress Inks with a blending brush. I decided I wanted a little more depth to the greens, so I removed all of the masks, but kept the Washi Tape on.  Using  Copic markers, I created a few more shadows in the grass.

I removed the Washi Tape and attached the finished image to the base card.  Some extra bats in the sky were added using Class A’ Peel Stickers from Stampendous! Crystal Stickles was applied to the small moon on the hat and the hat band. Finally, some little stars were added into the sky using a White PrismaColor Premiere Pencil to complete the card.

Birthday Ssschmirth-day!

Today, I’m sharing a fun birthday card using Whimsy Stamps – Me-Wow Cat Birthday that I made for my father-in-laws 80th Birthday. He’s wasn’t too keen on turning 80 so I thought I would make this fun card for him! He loved it and I hope that you do too!

To create the card, I began with a card base of 5.5″ x 5.5″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. Echo Park Paper Co. – Happy Birthday Boy paper was cut to the same size as the base and adhered with double-sided tape. Using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Stitched Squares Inside and Out, I die cut a 3.5″ x 3.5″ square out of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and a 4″ x 4″ square out of Recollections – Black cardstock.

Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image from Whimsy Stamps – Me-Wow Cat Birthday. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and then I stamped the image again onto a Post-It note and fussy cut around the balloon and upper half of the kitty to use it as a mask. I placed it over top of the coloured image and created the party background using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Squeezed Lemonade and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet which I applied using Blending Brushes. After the first layers were added, I used the same colours,  but this time I used Hero Arts – Party Confetti Stencil (Crop & Create Exclusive) to create the streamers. I removed the mask and put the image into my MISTI once again and this time, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and then heat embossed it using Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder and Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Lastly, U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the back of the image and the black square. These were then popped up onto the centre of the card.

Father’s Day Fisherman!

Today, I’m sharing a Father’s Day card using Hunkydory – Moonstone – What A Catch Card – MSTONE537 die that I made for our dads. Both of our dads love to fish and I thought this was the perfect die set when I saw it. Wishing everyone’s dad a very Happy Father’s Day today and everyday!

To create the card, I began with a card base of 6″ x 6″ using AC Cardstock – White. For the main background I attached Stampin’ UP! – Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper cut to the same size as the base with double-sided tape. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Blueprint Sketch and a finger dauber were used to ink around all of the edges. Using a combination of my Cuttlebug, My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out – 4.5″ x 4.5″ and Moonstone – What A Catch Card die, I die cut the image out of Recollections – Black cardstock.

Forever In Time – Glam Glitter Cardstock – Ombre Pastel was cut to be just slightly smaller than 4.5″ x 4.5″ and then U-Line double-sided pop-up tape was added to the back of the die-cut image. I removed the tape and then attached the Glitter cardstock on top. This allowed me to line up the 2 pieces easier. For the sentiment, I decided to use my Cricut Explore and Cricut Design Space to create the text and shadow, using some spare blue cardstock and Recollections – Black cardstock. Once the sentiment and shadow were die-cut, I ran the lettering through my Xyron Create a Sticker and attached the 2 pieces together.

U-Line double sided tape was attached to the back of the combined image and it was popped up onto the card. Scrapbook Adhesives – 3D Foam Strips – Permanent Black was added to the back of the sentiment pieces and they were popped up onto the card to finish it off.

Hero Dad!

Today I’m sharing a Father’s Day card using KLM Digital Design – Wheelbarrow Gnome from the new April 2023 release. This image also comes with 2 more sentiments, “Dad, you’re someone to look up to no matter how tall I grow!” and “Any man can be a Father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad”. I know that my dad will always be my hero no matter how old I get. 🙂

Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock was used to create a 5.5″ x 5.5″ card base. Using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out dies, I die cut a 5″ x 5″ square out of Recollections – Black cardstock and a 4″ x 4″ square out of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The black square was applied directly to the base card using double-sided tape.

The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card prior to me cutting out the 4″ square. The image was coloured in with Copic markers. I decided I wanted some puffy clouds, so I printed out the image again, but this time it was printed onto regular copy paper and then I fussy cut around the top part of it. It was placed over top of the coloured image with some washi tape to secure it in place. I took another piece of paper and created a wavy background and placed that down over the image too! Then, with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean and a blender brush, I proceeded to create the cloudy sky using a stencil that I had made earlier using Avery Elle – Pierced Clouds Dies. Once the sky was complete, I added in the dirt path and the farm field to finish off the image. U-Line double-sided tape was added to the back of the completed coloured image and it was popped up onto card to finish it off.

Make Lemonade!

Today I’m sharing an inspirational card using KLM Digital Design – Lemon Gnome from the new January release. This image also comes with 2 more sentiments, “I could just Squeeze you!” and “Squeeze the day”.  I’ve always loved lemons and they are good for so many different things, baking, tea and they are high in Vitamin C, just to name a few.

Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock was used to create a 5.5″ x 4.25″ card base. I had found Crafts Designer Paper – 02-3093268 at Dollarama and thought this paper was perfect for this card. I chose 2 patterns from this paper pack and cut the darker pattern to the size of 5.25″ x 2.25″ and the other piece to the size of 5.25″ x 2.75″. Two rectangles were cut out of Recollections – Black cardstock to the size of 5.5″ x 2.75″ and 5.5″ x 3″. With yellow cardstock and my Cuttlebug, I die cut the large oval using Waffle Flower – Additional Oval dies and the larger circle with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies – Nesting Circles. All of the edges for the patterned pieces and the yellow die cuts were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mustard Seed.

The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. With my Cuttlebug, I die cut the large oval using Waffle Flower – Additional Oval dies and the smaller circle with My Creative Time – Bunch of Fun Circle Dies. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Squeezed Lemonade was applied to the outer edges of the smaller circle. The image was coloured in with Copic markers.

For the assembly of the card, I applied the 2 patterned pieces together with the black cardstock using double sided tape. I placed the colourful piece down first onto the base card and then the second piece was applied over top of that one. Both were adhered with double-sided tape. The image and the sentiment were both popped up onto the larger oval and larger circle using U-Line Double-Sided tape. I applied U-Line Double-Sided tape to the backs of these combined pieces and then popped them both up onto the card. Finally, I added in some YNS Gumdrops – Tropical Paradise around the sentiment to complete the card.

3 Stooges!

It’s Wednesday and today I’m sharing a birthday card using KLM Digital Design – Three Stooges Gnome from the new January release. This image also comes with 2 more sentiments, “Just relax and except the crazy” and “Make time for yourself”. I grew up watching “The 3 Stooges” and if these gnomes are anything like they were, you never know what’s going to happen. LOL!

Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock was used to create a 5.5″ x 5.5″ card base. I cut Echo Park – It’s Your Birthday (6″x6″ Double-Sided) designer paper to be the same size and adhered it to the base using double-sided tape. The image and sentiment were imported into Microsoft Word and printed out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The printed image and Echo Park – It’s Your Birthday designer paper were both die cut using my Cuttlebug and Whimsy – Wavy Stitched Squares Die Set. I inked around the designer paper with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Black Soot and popped it onto the base using U-Line double-sided tape. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Spiced Marmalade was applied around all of the outer edges of the card.  The main image was coloured in with the Copic markers listed below and then popped up onto the centre of the designer paper with U-Line double sided tape. The sentiments were fussy cut and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Spiced Marmalade was applied around the edges. I wanted the larger sentiment to stand out a little more, so I first ran it through my Xyron Create a Sticker and then adhered it to a scrap piece of Recollections – Black cardstock. I fussy cut around it again and then applied U-Line double-sided tape to both sentiments with double layers on portions of them and popped them up onto the card. Lastly, I used my Quickie Glue pen to trace around some of the spirals and dots on both designer papers and applied Martha Stewart Crafts Glitter – Crystal Fine to give it some sparkle.

Oh Puck! I Forgot!

Sharing a belated birthday card that I made today using Photo-Play – O Canada 2 Beaver & Hockey and Lawn Fawn – Let’s Go Nuts for the bottom half of the sentiment. I couldn’t resist this adorable beaver and it’s sentiment when I saw it. Can you guess what hockey team he plays for? LOL!

Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock was used to create a 5.5″ x 4.25″ card base. I cut the iced boards and ice to the size of 5.5″ x 1-7/8″ and coloured in the lines with copic markers using a ruler. I added a shadow where the beaver was going to be and then applied Wink of Stella – Clear onto the ice portion. I applied the rink portion to the base using double-sided tape. Echo Park Paper Co. – Happy Birthday Boy paper was cut to the size of 5.5″ x 2-3/8″ and it was adhered to the card using liquid glue.

Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the images onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. They were coloured in with Copic markers and then fussy cut. Using a black marker, I inked around all of the edges. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the images and they were popped up onto the card.

Using my MISTI again and VersaMark ink, I stamped the sentiments onto Recollections – Black cardstock. Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail was applied to the ink and then heat embossed with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the sentiments and they were popped up onto the card.
