Welcome KLM Digital Design Fans!

Today, I’m sharing a new stamp set from KLM Digital Designs called Mailbox Greetings. These little country birds decided to make their home in someone’s mailbox and are enjoying the nice sunny weather. A lot of snow here still where I live, so it will be a while before we get to see some flowers blooming and some nice clear skies. LOL!

Welcome High Hopes Rubber Stamps Fans!

It’s Wednesday, and this month at High Hopes Rubber Stamps we are celebrating Hallowe’en.  This week, I used Monty Q109  (High Hopes Rubber Stamps).

I thought it would be fun to make him come out of a scary forest with the full moon behind him. I darkened the Birch trees in the background with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Hickory Smoke so that it would look like they were further in the background. Hallowe’en is coming and Monty is ready for a frightfully good time! Beware!!!!

Welcome Back Dreamerland Craft Fans!

Dreamerland has just released some brand new stamps and today, I’m sharing a birthday card I made using Dancing Partners D19060 (Dreamerland Crafts Clear Stamps)!  The image was coloured with copic markers.

After colouring the images, I fussy cut around them and decided to have them dancing on clouds to add to the magic.

Welcome OCS Fans!

Today is Wednesday and Spring is in the air! The snow has finally melted and now I can’t wait for the flowers to start blooming and adding some colour to our yard and other yards around us!

For today’s card I’m sharing Blooming Friends by High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I’m pretty sure this little girl and hedgehog are probably talking about the beautiful flowers and what a gorgeous spring day it is outside! I coloured in the card with Copic Markers and to finish the scene, I added in some clouds and made the grass look like she was up on a hilltop.

Capture the Good Times!

Hi Dreamerland Crafts Fans!

Today I’d like to share a card that I made using Dreamerland Crafts Photographer stamp from their new release this year. I decided to colour the outfit blue to match the cameras in the background. To create the scene, I also used several of the Dreamland Mix and Match background stamps.

 

 

I used some Canson Watercolour paper and wet it down. Then I stamped on my clouds using Clouds – Dreamerland Crafts Mix & Match Collection stamp and a mixture of Tim Holtz Blue inks which you can find in the list below. For the background blue, I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Tumbled Glass, some water and a watercolour brush.

For the greenery Flower Beds – Dreamerland Crafts Mix & Match Collection stamp was used and stamped with a mixture of Tim Holtz greens and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Gathered Twigs. Then I used the watercolour brush and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet for the flowers and to add in a little more colour below the shrubbery.

I popped up the little girl and bird with some 3M VHB – 2 sided tape after stamping the images with Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and then colouring the images in with Copic markers.

Background paper and sentiment are from Creative Memories – Shutter Bug collection which I thought was perfect to complete this card.

Note: Using my MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool allowed me to do the placement of the Mix and Match images with ease.

Hi There!

My parents recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary! Such an accomplishment and we are all so proud of them! We had a wonderful celebration with close friends and family.

I wanted to make my parents something special and unique for their special anniversary and I knew a friend who did quilting. I’ve always wanted to learn how to hand quilt and so I approached her and asked her if she would teach me. She agreed and I was super excited, I was going to learn how to do quilting.

First thing!!!!! I have a lot more respect for all of you quilting ladies and gentlemen out there!!! I had no idea how much work went into it! LOL! However, I loved the final result and so did my parents and family and that made it all worth it!

As a thank you to my friend Marilyn who graciously put up with all my questions and who assisted me on how to cut the fabric and line it up as well as doing the 3 layer sandwich and then sewing the border, I made her this little thank you card.

Hi There!

Sharing a card that I made for my mom for Mother’s Day this year! As soon as I saw the image of the mother doing her daughter’s hair, I knew I had to make it. It brought back so many childhood memories of when my mother would fuss over my hair! From the rags to make wringlets, to the huge rollers that I had to sleep with AND every different colour of ribbon that you could think of. LOL!

I am one of the lucky one’s to have had such a loving mother all of my life and hopefully for a long time to come. Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mom’s out there!

Dog Sympathy Card

Hi There,

Sharing a dog sympathy card that I made. It is always very hard losing one of our furry friends, especially when we cherish them as if they were our children. They say that we will meet again someday over the Rainbow Bridge so I drew in a rainbow on my card.

The stamps were all stamped with my MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool.

Dog – Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps – Furry Friends. Stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and then coloured in with Copic markers. Stamped wings onto Recollections – Christmas Inkjet Printable Glitter Paper – 8.5 x 11″ and then fussy cut around them and attached them to the original image.

Sentiment – Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps – Furry Friends. Stamped onto red paper with Versamark ink and then embossed with Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail. Added in footprint with paw print from Stampin Up.

Hi There,

Sharing a birthday card that I made for a co-worker who is always helping others around our office tirelessly. She does a lot for all of us and I hope that she realizes just how much we all appreciate her. She is such a wonderful person and always makes you smile.

This Kraftin Kimmie stamp was perfect for the occasion and so were the sentiments that came with the stamp.

Sharing a card that I made using Polkadoodles – digital stamp Winnie Wednesday Witch and a mixture of Hampton Arts Hallowe’en stamps, stamped with Memento Ink using my Misti.

Here is a close-up of Winnie.

I used Copic markers to colour the images.

Embossed the background paper with Cuttlebug – Seeing Spots and then used Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet on the raised edges.

Background paper – Doodlebug Design Inc. – Hallowe’en Parade (6 in. x 6 in.)

Used my Cricut – Explore to cut out the “Happy Hallowe’en”.

To make the flowers in the vase, I stamped the image on some regular paper and then cut out the images to create a mask. Then I stamped the foreground flowers first on watercolour paper with Jet Black – Stazon Ink. Next I put the mask over them and then stamped the background flowers.

Coloured in the flowers with Tim Holtz Distress Ranger Ink and watercolour brush.

Purple flowers: Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet

Water in Vase: Salty Ocean

Stems: Zig Marker – Clover

Flower Centers: Stampin Up – More Mustard

Die cut the frame with My Creative Time – Stitched Squares Inside and Out. Outlined cut with Sharpie – Gold Medium Point – Water Based Paint.

Sentiment – My Creative Time – Inspire Die Cut and My Thoughts Are With You Stamp.
