Dracula and Friends!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Hallowe’en card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Bat Friends – TT043 for the image and Special Treat – H234 for the sentiment. I can’t believe it’s August already and that means it’s time to get started on Hallowe’en and Fall cards. This is the first of many to come this month.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock – White, cut and scored to be 6″ x 6″. I cut the background to be the same size using Craft Consortium – Happy Haunting paper and adhered it to the base card using double-sided tape. Using my Cuttlebug, I die cut the larger piece for the background using the same paper and Penny Black Creative Dies – Antique Frame. I inked around the base card and die cut using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Villainous Potion. Using the same dies, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and then stamped the image onto it using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink.

The image was coloured in with Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I inked very lightly over the top of it with some purple that I had left on my brush. Then, I inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Villainous Potion. I added U-Line double-sided tape to the backs of all 3 pieces and then popped them up onto the card. To finish it off, I added some YNS Gumdrops – Spellbound.

I stamped the sentiment onto the white cardstock using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI. Using my die cutting machine again and Waffle Flower – Nesting Square dies, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I stamped the image onto it using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI.

The image was coloured in with Copic markers and then I added snow to the sky using a Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen. For the hat trim and pop-pom, I added Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff and heated it with my Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool to puff up the liquid. I put a little bit of Stickles – Diamond onto my finger and dabbed it across the trim and pom-pom to give them an extra bit of sparkle. Lastly, I added some Stickles – Diamond to the snow. When the Stickles was all dry, I adhered the image to Signature Collection by Sara Davies – Glittering Snowflakes cardstock with double-sided tape and some glue. Using my cutter, I cut a slim border around the image. I ran the sentiment through my Xyron Creative Station and adhered it to the larger die cut. Thank goodness he is taking care of them, because a green thumb is certainly something I was not blessed with. LOL!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. I cut Crafter’s Consortium – The Essential Craft Papers – Ink Drops – Ocean to be the same size as the base and adhered it with double-sided tape. I cut 2 .5″ strips of Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock and adhered a piece on each side of the card using glue. I die cut the words “Thank You” using the same Matte Gold foil cardstock, PaperCrafter Today – 15 Die Cut Sentiment Set and my Anna Griffin Empress Mini Machine. I ran the words through my Xyron Create a Sticker and set them to the side.

The image was stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and coloured in with Copic Markers. I fussy cut around the image and added some U-Line double-sided tape to the back of it. The images was then popped up onto card. I added the words “Thank You” that I had turned into stickers earlier to complete the card.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. To create my background sky, I cut the Echo Parks Paper Co. – Birthday Wishes cardstock to the size of 5.5″ x 1.75″. With Lawn Fawn – Watercolor Wishes Rainbow – 6″ x 6″, I made 3 cuts. 5.5″ x .75″, 5.5″ x 1.25″ and with my Cuttlebug and Card Deco Essentials – Slimline Landscape Borders die, the tree landscape. I ran all of the pieces through my Xyron Creative Station and Xyron Create a Sticker. Using my Cuttlebug again and Recollections – Black cardstock, I die cut the road using My Favourite Things – Die-Namics – Open Road die.

The image and sentiment were both stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and the image was coloured in with Copic Markers. I fussy cut around the image and the sentiment and then added U-Line double-sided tape to pop them up onto the card later.

The card was now ready for assembly, starting at the bottom of the card, I applied the first piece of grass. I measured the distance of the road and then applied the second piece of green slightly lower than where the road would end. The sky piece was added next and then the tree scape. I used my E25 marker to make the tree trunks brown. I applied double-sided tape to the road piece and adhered it to the base. I popped up the image and the sentiment onto the background. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers. I used a Gelly Roll Sakura #5 Pen to create some more texture in the fur by just dabbing it everywhere. I stamped the sentiment using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. Using a 3/4″ punch, I punched out the circle surrounding the sentiment. Then, using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Bunch of Fun Circle Dies, I die cut a slightly larger circle out of a scrap piece of gold paper from Crafter’s Companion – Luxury Cardstock – Gold. It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Bunny Blossoms – TDG024 for the image and Some Bunny – FDG032 for the sentiment. I just love this super adorable little bunny taking time to smell the flowers. Spring is here, but the winter snow keeps playing tricks on us still. LOL! We just had another snow storm the other day. I thought April was supposed to bring Spring showers, not Spring snow!!!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock – White, cut and scored to be 6″ x 6″. I cut the Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock background paper to the size of 6″ x 6″ and adhered it directly to the base using double-sided tape. Using my Couture Creations – Go Power and Emboss and Waffle Flower – Nesting Square dies, I die cut another square from Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I popped up the gold square onto the bunny background and stamped the main image onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black.

The image was coloured in with Copic Markers. I though I’d go out of my comfort zone this week to create this sky with a variety of different colours. I thought it still needed something more so I added in some clouds using a PrimaColor Pencil – White. I also added in some extra fur with PrimaColor Pencil – Beige. Once, I was satisfied with the sky, I added U-Line double-sided tape to the back of it and it too was popped up onto the card. The sentiment was stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black. I fussy cut around it and then applied it to a small piece of Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock using repositionable tape. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the image with a slight border. I coloured around the circle stamped image with RV000 and then used a black marker to go all around the edges. I applied U-Line double-sided tape and popped it up onto the gold die-cut. Lastly, 2 layers of the U-Line double-sided tape were applied to the right side only of the sentiment and glue to the left and attached it to the base coloured paper to finish off the card.

Gone Fishing!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a birthday card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Fishing Shack – TLF038  for the image and Happy Birthday Script – FDG028  for the sentiment. I hope you have enjoyed all of the wonderful new stamps from our New Spring Release called “This and That” this month at High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I know I have. This fishing shack is a wonderful image for all of those loved one’s in your life who love fishing and would be perfect for a Father’s Day card too!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. I cut the fish cardstock from Photo-Play – Camp Happy Bear at 5.5″ x 1.25″ and Stampin’ UP! Wood Textures paper to 5.5″ x 3.25″. I wanted to keep both of these piece completely flat on the base so I ran both pieces through my Xyron Creative Station and adhered both pieces to the base card, starting with the fishing pattern. I die cut some dark chocolate cardstock to the size of 4.25″ x 3.25″ using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and popped it up onto the base using U-Line double-sided tape. Using my Cuttlebug again and this time, My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers at the size of 4.25″ x 3″, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I stamped the main image onto this die cut and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers and then double-side tape was applied to the back of it. This was  attached to the card over top of the larger rectangle. I fussy cut around the sentiment and ran it through my Xyron Create a Sticker. I applied it to the dark chocolate card stock and fussy cut around it again. U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the bottom half of the sentiment and liquid glue to the top portion. This was then adhered to the bottom of the card. I added in 3 little fishes from Buttons Galore & More – Sprinkletz Fish Tank to complete the card.

Spring is in the Air!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Turtle Stack – TLF035 for the image and Spring Is In The Air – FDG036 for the sentiment. Really loving the New Spring Release called “This and That” at High Hopes Rubber Stamps! This image could also be used for birthday’s too.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. I attached Scrapbook.com – Playful Smooth Cardstock to the base using double-sided tape. Using W R Memory Keepers – Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper – I cut the corners using the 1/4″. Using my Cuttlebug and Hero Arts – Infinity Dies – Rounded Rectangle, I die cut the following papers: Scrapbook.com – Jewels Smooth Cardstock, Your Next Stamp – Happy Spring cardstock and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I inked around the edges of the base card with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber and around the floral background with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint. I applied U-Line double-sided tape onto the floral background and solid green background and popped up both onto the base card. I stamped the image onto the small rectangle that I had cut out of the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black. The sentiment was also stamped with the same ink and then fussy cut. I inked around the sentiment with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint and set it aside for later. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers. I applied multiple layers of U-Line double-sided tape to the back of the sentiment and applied one layer to the back of the main image and popped them both up on the card. Lastly, I added some pop-dots to complete the card.
