Smell The Flowers!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using Tink Picking Posies – T027 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Smell The Flowers – G189 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Most of the flowers are now in full bloom. It’s so wonderful to see all of the beautiful colours and smell the wonderful aromas of the flowers in our garden. So happy that my husband has such a green thumb and loves gardening!

To make my card this week, I stamped my image and sentiment using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock. I stamped the image a second time onto plain copy paper and fussy cut around it to create a mask. My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers were used to cut out the sentiment and background layer. I coloured in the image using Copic markers and then put my mask over top of the coloured image. Using stencils that I had created earlier with Avery Elle – Pierced Clouds Dies (D-05-01), I inked in the clouds using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean. Once this was done, I removed the mask.

To assemble my card, I started with a base using Hot Buy – Cards and Envelopes (5.5″ x 4.25″). I ran the coloured image through my Xyron Create a Sticker and applied it to the black cardstock. 3M VHB – 2 sided tape, was applied to the back of the black frame and then it was attached directly to the base.

Card Recipe:

Just a Note!!

Sharing a card I made today using KLM Digital Designs – Birdhouse #1 from the new June release for the image and sentiment. This image also comes with 2 other sentiments: “Welcome To The Neighbourhood” and “Thinking of You”.

To make the card, I first imported the image and the sentiment into Microsoft Word. I printed out the image and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and a second copy of the image onto copy paper using my HP Printer. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and then fussy cut around the image on the copy paper to create a mask using my Brother Scan and Cut.

The rectangles were die cut using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers. I fussy cut around the sentiment and inked around the yellow rectangle and sentiment with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. I placed the mask over the coloured image and added in my clouds using some stencils that I created previously using Avery Elle – Pierced Clouds Die (D-05-01) and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mowed Lawn was added for the base background of the lawn.

To assemble the card, I began with a base card of The Paper Studio – Primary Simply Solids (4.25″ x 5.5″). I ran all of the elements through my Xyron Creative Station to create stickers out of them and so that they would lay completely flat when assembled. I added all of the layers directly to the base card. To finish it off, I added some CC Designs – Dragon Dreams Enamel Dots.

Surfin’ Dudley!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used High Hopes Stamps’ image Surf Scene Dudley – S244. I’ve seen surfers in action while travelling the world, but have never gone on one myself. Who knows, maybe someday???? Dudley, sure looks happy sporting his vacation pose. LOL!

Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and used Copic – Opaque White to create the splash on the waves. My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers were both used to die cut the coloured image and background papers. The edges were inked around with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Evergreen Bough. The image was then attached to the Aqua background using double-sided tape.

To assemble the card, I began with a base card of Hot Buy – Cards and Envelopes (5.5″ x 4.25″). I popped up the 2 backgrounds with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape and attached them both to the base card. Lastly, I added some pop-dots from CC Designs – Dragon Dreams Enamel to finish it off.

Rabbits Story Time!!

Sharing a card I made today using KLM Digital Designs – Reading Gnome with Rabbits from the new June release. I think this image is such a peaceful scene. These little rabbits are really interested in the story about their cousin Peter Rabbit. We have a little family of wild rabbits that have adopted our backyard yard. I wonder if they’d sit close to me while I read to them. LOL!

To make the card, I first imported the image into Microsoft Word and printed it out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and copy paper using my HP Printer. Using my Cuttlebug, My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers, I die cut black cardstock and the image. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and I created the cloud background using Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Salty Ocean, Broken China, Tumbled Glass with a mixture of cloud stencils I created using Avery Elle – PiercedCloudsDie. I had used my Brother Scan and Cut to create the mask to put over the image while I created the clouds.

To assemble the card, I used Hot Buy – Cards and Envelopes cardstock (5.5″ x 4.25″) for the base. Using double-sided tape, I attached the coloured image and black layer to the base card.

Seas The Day!!

Sharing a card I made today using KLM Digital Designs – Boating Gnome from the new June release. This stamp comes with 2 other sentiments, “It’s a boat time” and “You float my boat”. There’s nothing like getting up early in the morning and rowing a boat along a shore seeing the wildlife when you go camping. It’s so peaceful and serene.

To make the card, I first imported the image into Microsoft Word and printed it out onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and copy paper using my HP Printer. Using my Cuttlebug, My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers, I die cut red, blue cardstock and the image.

I attached the coloured image to the blue layer using double-sided tape. 3M VHB – 2 sided tape was applied to backs of the red and blue rectangles and attached directly to the base.

Hearts Warm!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using Toasting Marshmallows – T026 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Hearts Warm – G063 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This image brings back so many memories of going camping and sitting around the campfire roasting marshmallows. I gave my image coloured marshmallows, because growing up they were always my favourite! LOL!

To make my card this week, I started with a base of 6″ x 6″ using Recollections – Black cardstock. I taped Echo Park – Star Stencil on top of the cardstock and applied several Cosmic Shimmer – Opal Blaze Polishes using a spatula to create the nice starry background. I wanted my scene to look like the friends were in the woods, so I die cut some trees of various sizes using Nellie’s Choice – Nature Scene Dies – NSD001 – Mountains and Momenta – Cardstock. Once I die cut the trees, I added some Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Forest Moss and Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint to add some more colour to them. Then, I ran the trees through my Xyron Create a Sticker to make it easier to apply them later. I felt the scene also needed a moon, so I die cut one using Nellie’s Choice – Nature Scene Dies – NSD002 – Sky and then coloured it in and added 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to the back of it and set everything aside.

I stamped my image and sentiment using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock. I fussy cut around the top part of the image and then used a ruler to know where to cut the remainder of the bottom piece with my cutter. I coloured in the image using Copic markers and then used a black marker to go around all of the fussy cut part of the image and Copic marker – YG67 was used to go around the edges of the grassy area. For the sentiment, I used My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers to cut out the sentiment and background layer. I ran the sentiment through my Xyron Create a Sticker and applied it directly to the outer frame.

My card was now ready to assemble. I first adhered my starry background to a card base of AC – White cardstock sized at 6″ x 6″ using double-sided tape. Then, I used my coloured image to help me with the placement of where the trees would go. Since, I had already made stickers out of my trees, this was a fairly easy process. Once I was satisfied with their positioning, I applied 3M VHB – 2 sided tape, to the back of the coloured image and sentiment frame and attached them directly to the base card. Lastly, I attached the moon to complete the scene.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Toasting Marshmallows – T026 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Hearts Warm – G063 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Forest Moss

Cosmic Shimmer: Opal Blaze Polish – Sapphire Grape, Sunset Orange, Pink Blueberry, Turquoise Peach

Create Sunshine!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using Goat Your Back – TT137 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Somedays – GG024 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This momma goat and her babes are out enjoying the warmer weather. Spring is finally here! We just planted our flowers this past weekend, or I should say, I helped pick them out and my husband actually did the planting. He has a green thumb. I definitely don’t. LOL!

To make my card this week, I started with a base of 6″ x 6″ using AC White Cardstock. I cut Bo Bunny – Sweet Moments Divine paper to be the same size as the base card and then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Crushed Olive. I attached this directly to the base using double-sided tape. Using Doodlebug Design Inc. – Spring Solid Assortment paper, I die cut the yellow rectangle, large green rectangle and small green rectangle using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers. The edges were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Crushed Olive and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Fossilized Amber. The same dies were also used to die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card for the main image. Gina Marie Designs – Nested Scalloped Stitched Rectangles were used to die cut Recollections – Petite Floral paper. The edges of this die cut were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Scattered Straw.

I stamped my image using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card die cut. I coloured in the image and background using Copic markers. The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I used my small cutter to cut around the sentiment and inked it with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Crushed Olive. I die cut the sun and clouds using Copic Marker X-Press It Blending cardstock and Nellie’s Choice – Nature Scene Dies – NSD002 – Sky. I coloured these with Copic markers. I added 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to the back of 1 cloud and the sun and attached them to the main image. The other cloud was attached using glue and tucked under the sun.

The card was now ready to assemble. I attached the large green rectangle to the patterned paper base with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. The main image and yellow rectangle were attached to the large scalloped rectangle using glue. Then the scalloped rectangle was attached to the large green rectangle with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. I attached the sentiment to the smaller green rectangle and popped it up using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. To finish off the card I used a few pop dots and some yellow flowers.

Inks: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Scattered Straw, Crushed Olive, Fossilized Amber

Fishing Gnomes!!

Sharing a birthday card that I made recently for my dad using Stampendous – Gnome Fishing (SSC1341). My dad lives to fish and loves to go whenever possible. Lucky for him, the fisheries usually stock the lake where his camp is. It’s in a secluded spot, so the fish have time to mature and grow.

Using Memento – Tuxedo Black and my MISTI – Most Incredible Stamping Tool, I stamped all of the images onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The images were coloured in with Copic markers.

Once the images were completed, My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Die Layers were used to die cut the papers. Double-sided tape was used to add the 2 layers to the base of the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Stampendous – Gnome Fishing (SSC1341)

Inks: Memento – Tuxedo Black

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Recollections – Black, The Paper Studio – Primary Simply Solids (4.25″ x 5.5″)

Just a Note To Say!!

Today, I’m sharing an inspirational card that I made using Dreamerland Crafts stamps called Farm 01 – D20017 and Just A Note To Say – DCS17038 for the main images and Mix and Match Clear Stamps – DCS19093 for the sentiment.

Above is a close-up of the card. Below is the card opened.

To make this card I used a base card of 11″ x 4.25″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. I scored it at 2.75″ and 5.5″ to create an easel card. I stamped the fence, horses, pig and girl onto Inkadoo Stamping Mask Paper and fussy cut around them. Then I placed them onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cut at 5.5″ x 4.25″ for placement.

I removed the fence and using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the girl. I placed the girl mask over top of the stamped girl image and then stamped the fence, chicks, pig and farm house and fields. I stamped a horse and then placed the horse mask over it and stamped a second horse. Next, I removed the masks from the scene. I coloured all of the images and background in with Copic markers. I added double sided tape to the bottom portion of the easel card and attached the coloured image.

My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies were used create the base background and Gina Marie Designs – Petite Looped Lace Rectangle dies were used to create the base for the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment using my MISTI and Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink. I added Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder and then heat embossed the powder with Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Peeled Paint ink was used to ink around the edges of both die cuts.

To complete the card, the large rectangle was added directly to the card using double-sided tape and 2 layers of 3M VHB – 2 sided tape were added to the back of the sentiment die cut and attached to the base card background.

Easter Egg Gift!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made an Easter card using this hoppy little Bunny With Gift – S118 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Script Easter Greetings – F093 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Look at how “hoppy” he is to share his  decorated egg with a special person! I don’t know about you, but I hope it’s filled with chocolate. LOL!

To make my card this week, I used Recollections – Hot Buy Pre-Cut Cards for my base folded at 5.5″ x 4.25″. Next I die cut Hot Buy – Recollections – Spring Posies using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Die. Using some spare ribbon I had, using some double-sided tape, I attached it directly to this die-cut. Then, using double sided tape, I attached this piece directly to the base card. The aqua colour paper is from Hot Buy – Recollections – Jewel Tones. I created this die cut using my Cuttlebug and Gina Marie Designs – Loopy Rectangle Die Set.

The frame for the sentiment was created in Microsoft Word and then printed out onto white cardstock. This was coloured in with ZIG Clean Color Markers – 050 – Yellow and 025 – Pink. I stamped the Bunny With Gift – S118 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) and Script Easter Greetings – F093 sentiment using my MISTI. Using my Brother Scan and Cut, I cut around the image leaving a small white border. This was coloured in with Copic Markers.

To assemble the remainder of my card, I first used some double-side tape to attach the finished sentiment to the bottom of the aqua die cut. 3M VHB – 2 sided tape was added to both pieces and attached to card. Lastly, the completed image was attached to the die cut, using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

Posing Easter Bunny!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made an Easter card using this sassy little Posing Bunny – R080 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps. She’s all prettied up with her Easter Bonnet and wanted to show it off. LOL!

To make my card this week, I used Recollections – Hot Buy Pre-Cut Cards for my base folded at 5.5″ x 4.25″. Next I die cut Craft Smart – Hot Buy – Spring & Hop using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Die. This was inked all around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mermaid Lagoon. It was then attached directly to the base card using Tombow Multi Mono Liquid Glue. The big Easter Egg is from Simple Stories – Bunnies & Baskets. This was popped up using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

I stamped Posing Bunny – R080 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) using my MISTI and then used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around it. This was coloured in with Copic Markers and I gave her eyes some eyelashes. I added this to the card using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape. To complete the card I added in some flowers.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Posing Bunny – R080 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mermaid Lagoon

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Simple Stories – Bunnies & Baskets, Craft Smart – Hot Buy – Spring & Hop, Recollections – Hot Buy Cards and Envelopes

Come To Save The Day!

It’s Wednesday, and this week using High Hopes Stamps, I made a slim line card using  Sir Dustin – T177Jousting Dragon – S221 and Castle – R092 images and Here I Come…. – F248 for the sentiment. I love fantasy and dragons and thought these images were so much fun to play with.

I made my slim line card using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock for my base folded at 4″ x 9″.

I stamped the images and sentiment using Memento – Tuxedo Black using my MISTI onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I die cut the Copic paper with PinkFresh Studio – Essential Slim Cuts to use for the background. I decided to stamp the castle and sentiment directly onto the background. The other 2 images were stamped separately and then I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around them and fussy cut where they still had some white around the images.

I coloured in the Castle – R092 using Royal Blue colours for the flags, the same as Sir Dustin – T177 who I coloured in as the Blue Knight. I added some extra bricks onto the castle to give it some more texture. Using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean and Avery Elle – Pierced Clouds Die stencils that I made using the die cuts, I coloured in the sky. To give some texture to the grass, I first used a mixture of Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Crushed Olive and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mowed Lawn. Then I enhanced the colours using my Copic markers. I added some glue onto the back of the coloured image and attached it directly to the base card.

Sir Dustin – T177 was coloured in with Copic Markers and then I used a black marker to go around the entire image. This was popped up using 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to the background. I used Royal Blues for his outfit and Royal Purples and gold for his dragon.

Lastly, I coloured in Jousting Dragon – S221 as the Red Knight with Copic Markers and then I went around the image with a black marker. I decided to make him the Red Knight and added a “D” to his shield for “Dragon”. LOL! The image was popped up with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to complete the card.

I added 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to the back of the coloured image and attached it to the base card. I ran the flag through my Xyron Create a Sticker as I wanted it to lay completely flat against the background. I attached this to the base and then added 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to the back of the sentiment and attached it over top of the flag and the base. To complete the card, I added a few bubble embellishments from The Robin’s Nest – Peony using Ranger Glossy Accents.

When You Believe!

Today, I’m sharing an inspirational card that I made using Dreamerland Crafts stamps called When You Believe – D20007. I’ve been told that to become a ballet dancer it takes a lot of hard work and practice. This can also be said for many other professions as well. The overwhelming feeling of success and joy when one achieves their goals is always worth the hard work.

To make this card I used a base card of 5.5″ x 4.25″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. I printed out the background using my HP Printer and pattern from Nana Vics Digitals – Ballerina #1 Digital Paper. I cut it the same size as the base card and used double-sided tape to attached it on top. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry was used to ink around all of the edges.

I stamped the image using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in the image with Copic markers. My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and my Cuttlebug were used to die cut the image. I stamped the sentiment using my MISTI and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry onto Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. Then, I cleaned off the stamp and stamped the sentiment again, this time using VersMark ink. I added Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder and then heat embossed the powder with Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. I fussy cut around the sentiment and used Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry ink to ink around the edges. The image was then centred over the fancy rectangle I die cut using DIY Scrapbooking Artist – Nested Stitched Scallop Rectangle Dies using glue.

To assemble the card, I added 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to the backs of the large triangle and sentiment. These were both attached directly to the patterned background. Lastly, to complete the card, I used some Craftin’ Desert Divas – Sherbet Sequins for embellishments.

Card Recipe:

Stamp and Sentiment:  When You  Believe – D20007 (Dreamerland Crafts)

Inks: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry, VersaMark, HP Printer – Colour

Embossing Powder: Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder

Missing You!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Thoughtful Kimberly – H202 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and One Of Those Days – F252 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. I think the sentiment says it all for this card. With Covid, so many of us are not able to see our loved ones, so we can dream of when we will be able to see them all again soon.

To make my card this week, I used Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. for my base at 4.25″ x 5.5″. I ran some brown cardstock through my Cuttlebug using Darice – Brick Wall Background. Then I inked on top of it using a variety of Tim Holtz distress inks which I have listed below. To make the window frame, I die cut the window using Spellbinders Die D-Lites – S2-016- Window Two using my Cuttlebug and Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb paper. I die cut this twice. I cut the centre frame out of both windows. I used the first die-cut window to create my base. Then, I cut the patterned paper from Creative Memories – Secret Garden to create my background for behind the little girl. I also cut Judi-Kins – Embossable Window Plastic to match the size of the side windows and the window above the girls head. I glued the plastic windows to each side of the window frame and then attached the second cut piece over top with glue. For the top window, I attached the plastic window behind it first and then added the background paper to it and the entire open window.

I stamped both the images and sentiment using my Misti and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in the image using Copic Markers. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut out the image. The sentiment and frame were cut with My Creative Time – Rectangle Dies. I ran the cut sentiment through my Xyron Create a Sticker and then placed it directly on top of the larger rectangle. I added the little girl to the inside of the window using glue on the back of her. To complete my card, I added 3M VHB – 2 sided tape to the back of the window centre part and the large rectangle and popped them up top of the brick background.

Card Recipe:

Thank Ewe!!

Hi Everyone! On December 11, 2020, I went in to have Laparoscopic Hysterectomy Surgery. The surgery went really well with no complications and I was home on the same day. I had a lot of rest over the past month, recovering, sleeping long hours and sleeping peacefully knowing that I no longer had to worry. I started back to work remotely last week. It was a long awaited surgery and I was extremely happy to have been lucky enough to have it during these Covid times, as many surgery’s were being cancelled. I had been dealing with Pre-Cancer off and on for the past 12 years beginning in my late 40’s, having multiple smaller operations and taking medication. My aunt had died in her 50’s because she didn’t seek help from a doctor until it was too late and my mother was also diagnosed with Uterine Cancer in her early 50’s as well. Thankfully, my mom was just in the early stages and had the operation in time and has had no issues since. It’s amazing how far technology and science have come. Not long ago, you would have spent a minimum of 2 weeks in the hospital and then another 5 – 6 weeks to recover at home.

As a thank you to the surgeons and nurses that took such good care of me before, during and after my surgery, I made them all cards to express my thanks. I thought I would share them with you and hope you like them too.

All of the cards used Hammermill 5.5″ x 4.25″ for the base. For the front of my cards, I made them all the same using Wooly Lambs (Craftin Desert Divas) retired stamp for the sentiment and main image. I coloured it in with Copic markers and then stamped the image again onto Post-It note to used as a mask. I layered the mask over top of the lamb and used my cloud stencil that I made from Avery Elle – PiercedCloudsDie and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean to create the clouds. The embossed front was made using Cuttlebug – Thank You Embossing Folder.

To make the inside of the nurses card, I used Proud Nurse Set – 4899 (Art Impressions) for the main image and top sentiment and Craftin Desert Divas – Tissue Time for the bottom sentiment. I coloured in the image with Copic markers.

For the inside of the cards for the surgeons, I printed out the stamps from MFT_BB090_SuperHeroinScrubs_Printable (My Favourite Things) and MFT_BB091_DoctorsOrders_Printable (My Favourite Things) for the images and sentiments using High Quality Grayscale. Then coloured them in with Copic Markers.

Feeling Up To Par!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week I’m sharing a Get Well Card featuring Golfer Glen – T084 from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) paired with the sentiment Up To Par – G257 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). It’s always hard to find Get Well Cards for men, and I thought the pairing of these 2 stamps went so well together.

Then, I stamped the image and sentiment using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. The image was then coloured in with Copic Markers. I stamped the image again onto Post-It Note paper and used it as a mask. Then, I applied the clouds using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean and cloud stencils I made from Avery Elle – PiercedCloudsDie and Whimsy Stamps – Grass and Cloud Edger Die Set. Then I used some washi tape to mask the main image border and inked around it using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean.

The card was now ready to assemble, I attached the coloured image to a card base made from Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. paper, folded to 5.5″ x 4.25″.

Gobble Till You Wobble!!

Our American friends are celebrating Thanksgiving this week and I couldn’t resist sharing this adorable little Harvest I Gnome from KLM Digital Designs new November release. The image comes with 3 different sentiments, “Gobble ‘Til You Wobble”, which I’ve used on my card and also, “Seasons of Thanks” and “Give Thanks”.

I decided to make this card a fun easel card. I love the little gnome and the sentiment that came with it. Here is a close-up of the gnome.

To make the card, I printed out the main image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my HP Printer. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the image and coloured it in with Copic markers.

I used Hammermill paper to create the base shape of the card 8.5″ x 4.25″. I scored the paper at 5.5″ and 8.25″.  I also, cut some Hammerill paper to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. I cut the Gnome background paper to the same size using PhotoPlay – Gnome for the Holidays Thanksgiving. I also used this same paper for the inside of the card. The oval was die cut using my Cuttlebug and Elizabeth Craft – Accordian Circle Card 769 using Pebbles – Harvest paper. The sentiment was die cut with My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Carved Pumpkin ink was used to ink around all of the edges of the pieces.

The card was now ready to put together. I adhered the Gnome background paper to the Hammermill 5.5″ x 4.25″ separate piece that was cut earlier. The Pebbles – Harvest paper was attached to the inside of the card. I popped up the oval background with 3M VHB – 2 sided tape.

To finish off the card, I added a added an Action Wobble Spring, so that this little Harvest Gnome could gobble till he wobbled. LOL!

Card Recipe:
