Matchbook Baby Card!

Today I’m sharing a miniature Baby card using Art ImpressionsMB Nursery – 5495MB Template Dies (5317) and MB Envelope Die (5318) that I made for my niece’s  baby shower. She was very surprised when she saw how small the card was. LOL! I always love seeing everyone’s expression when they receive their little matchbook sized cards.

To create the card, I began with the card base using some scrap paper from my stash for the background. The design was only on one side, so I doubled it up and glued it together. Then using a Cuttlebug die-cutting machine and the Art ImpressionsMB Template Dies (5317), I die cut the designer paper for the base of the card and also the Sentiment pop-up out of a scrap of white cardstock.

With Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI, I stamped all of the images and the sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in all of the images with Copic markers listed below. Once this was completed, the images were all cut out using Art ImpressionsMB Nursery – 5495 dies and the pop-ups were adhered to the card with double-sided tape. The window frames, Baby Blocks and Wording were applied using liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment onto some white cardstock with Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and applied Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder. This was heat embossed using a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool.

Lastly, I die cut the envelope out of some scrap double-sided paper that I had in my stash using the Art ImpressionsMB Envelope Die (5318). A smaller message was written on an even tinier miniature envelope to my niece and nephew.

Todd’s 62nd Birthday!

Today, I’m sharing a Birthday card that I made for my husband’s 62nd Birthday! The card was created using images and sentiments from Art ImpressionsBorn To Ride – 5044, Gotta Garden Set – 5000Birthday Laugh Lines – 5115 and Dance It Out Set – 5278. My husband loves working out in the garden, so I thought this would be a fun card to make him!

To create the card, I began with the card base of 4.25″ x 5.5″ using Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb. With a Cuttlebug, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card with My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers. With Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI, I stamped the images onto the die cuts and coloured them in using Copic markers.

I inserted the 2 images back into my MISTI and added the sentiments using Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink. Once this was done, Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder was applied and then heat embossed with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Recollections – Black cardstock was cut to the size of 3.75″ x 4.75″ and the images were applied to these using double-sided tape. Both images were then applied to the base card using double-sided tape. Lastly, I used a sentiment from “Hunkydory – Birthdays Perfect Poetry” Foiled Paper Pad and created a backing out of Recollections – Black cardstock for it as well before adhering it to the inside of the card with double-sided tape.

My husband loved his card and I hope you do too!

Dad’s 90th Birthday!

Today I’m sharing a Birthday card that I made for my dad’s 90th Birthday last week using the image and sentiments from Art ImpressionsDance It Out – 5278. We had a nice party for him surrounded by family and close friends and he enjoyed every minute of it. 🙂 I created the fishes on the shirt because my dad has always loved fishing and I thought it would be fun to do.

To create the card, I began with the card base of 3.75″ x 9″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. With a Cuttlebug, I die cut the sentiment using Spellbinders – Phrase Set 1 and the numbers with Lawn Fawn Lawn Cuts – Henry’s 123s and then adhered them directly to the card using liquid glue. With a stamping block and Versa Fine – Onyx Black, several sentiments were stamped using the Art ImpressionsDance It Out – 5278 set.

Once this was completed, it was time to create the background. To do this,  I placed down the stencil from Lawn Fawn – Confetti Stencils and applied multiple Tim Holtz Distress inks with some small blending brushes. I continued to do this until, I covered the entire card, being sure to not colour over any of the lettering.

With Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI, I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and then coloured it in. Once this was completed, I then fussy cut around the entire image and popped it up onto the card using U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape.

I applied some small balloons with some die cuts that I had cut out earlier using Your Next Stamp – Mini Balloon Trio Die Set and then added in the “th”, strings for the balloons and eyes for the fish with a Sakura Glaze – Black pen. The inside of the card also had a lot of fun sayings.

I made my dad this fun T-shirt too using my Cricut. He loved his card and shirt an I hope you do too!

Happy Valentine’s Day Bear!

Today, I’m sharing a Valentine’s Day card that I made for my husband this year using Kit and Clowder – January – February 2024 Markers – Valentine’s Bear Bonus Class on-line colouring class taught by Alyce Keegan for the front of the card and Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps  – Your Gnaw-some! by Neda Sadreddin for the inside of the card.

The base card was created to the size of 5.5″ x 5.5″ out of Recollections – Red cardstock.  I printed out the image for the cup and bear from the card class using a HP Printer onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card.  The bear, cup and hearts were coloured in following the instructional video by Alyce Keegan from Kit and Clowder. Once this was completed, using a Cuttlebug and Waffle Flower – Nesting Square dies, I die cut the image using the 4.25″ x 4.25″ die. The background was coloured in with a BG000 marker and then I added in the sentiments using Cloud 9 – Matt Blending Ink – Strawberry Sundae for the “I Love You” and then restamping it again using VersaMark. Versa Fine – Onyx Black was used for the “Happy Valentine’s Day” sentiment. Both sentiments were embossed with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder and then heat embossed using a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Anna Griffin – 3D Square Cardcentric Compendium Dies were die cut using the Cuttlebug and the 5-1/8″ x 5-1/8″ die out of Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock. I applied the finished image onto the frame with liquid glue. U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape was applied to the back of frame and it was centered onto the front of the card.

For the inside of the card, the image for the beavers was stamped onto the same Copic paper using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and a MISTI. This was coloured in with Copic markers listed below and then fussy cut. The sentiments were all stamped using the same method and inks as above that were used for “The Happy Valentine’s Day” sentiment. I coloured in the heart and the lettering with Copic markers and then fussy cut around all of the sentiments. Liquid glue was applied to all of the pieces and they were adhered onto the card. Lastly, to finish everything off, some Kraftin’ Kimme Hearts Krafty Dots were added.

Baking Birthday Trolls!

Today I’m sharing a Birthday card using Craftin’ Desert Divas – Chef Trolls (Retired) stamp and sentiments that I made for my mom last month! She has always loved to bake, so I thought these were the perfect little images for her.

With a Cuttlebug and Photo-Play – Circle Windows Etched Dies, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock and Echo Park – Birthday Girl – Bouncing Balloons cardstock. With some scrap paper, I die cut the floral scalloped circle using dies from the same set.

I created a base card to the size of 8.5″ x 3.5″ using Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb. cardstock.  The edges of the the scalloped circle and patterned die cut were inked with a finger dauber and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Saltwater Taffy. Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Kitsch Flamingo and a finger dauber were used to ink all of the edges of the large patterned die cut and then it was attached directly to the base card using liquid glue.

Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, the images were stamped onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock circles. These were coloured in with Copic markers listed below and then applied to the base card using liquid glue. The sentiment was applied to the scalloped circle using a MISTI and Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink. Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder was applied to the ink and heat embossed with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. I applied the circle from the base card into the centre circle using liquid glue and then applied some Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Saltwater Taffy around the circle. U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape was applied to scalloped circle and 3 balloon brads and they were all popped up onto the card. Lastly, using various Stickles listed below, I added some sparkle to the small dots on the patterned paper to finish it off.

Old Fart!

Today I’m sharing a birthday card using Whimsy StampsOld Geezer and sentiments from their Old Fart stamp set and Old Fart Word Die that I made for my younger brother this week! Couldn’t resist teasing him about getting older and entering into his 60’s!. LOL!

I began making my card by creating a 5.5″ x 4.25″ base made from Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. I used 3 circles that were cut out with Photo-Play – Circle Windows Etched Dies and Echo Park – Birthday Girl – Bouncing Balloons from a previous card that I made. Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Salty Ocean and a blender brush were used to colour the white circle and then the same ink was used to ink the edges around the other 2 circles and card base.

The image was stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card with Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and a MISTI. It was coloured in with the Copics listed below and then fussy cut. Using the MISTI again for placement, I stamped the sentiments using Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink. This was then embossed with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder and then heat embossed with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. With a Cuttlebug and dies from Whimsy Stamps – Old Fart Word die set and Art ImpressionsJournal Letter Die Set, I die cut out the sentiments with black cardstock.

To assemble the card, I used liquid glue to attach the die cut wording and “60” onto the circles. All of the circles were applied to the base card using liquid glue. The main image was popped up onto the base card using U-Line Double-Sided Foam Tape. I also added a few more fun sentiments from the same stamp sets on the inside of the card too! LOL!  My brother loved his card and I hope you do too!

It’s Always Cupcake Time!!!

Today I am sharing a birthday card I made using Kraftin’ Kimmie StampsBirthday Lulu stamp and sentiment.

To make my cards this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Cardstock 110 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″.

I embossed the sentiment with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder and then heat embossed it with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and then fussy cut all around it. Spectrum Noir – Sparkles – Crystal Clear was applied to the icing and dots on Lulu’s hat.

With a Cuttlebug and We R Memory Keepers – Quickutz Nesting Scallops, I die cut the smaller scallop circle out of Doodlebug Design Inc. – Made With Love paper (3.5″) and the larger scallop circle out of Doodlebug Design Inc. – Spring Solid Assortment cardstock (3-7/8″). Doodlebug Design Inc. – Made With Love cardstock was cut to the size of 4/3-8″ x 1″ and Doodlebug Design Inc. – Spring Solid Assortment cardstock was cut to the size of 4.5″ x 1-1/8″ for the rectangles. Sweet Note of Thanks!

Today I’m sharing a Thank-you card using Your Next StampMusic Bunny – CYNS262. I was on a cruise last year and we met some wonderful couples that sat at the tables next to ours and we exchanged information. Unknown to us until the final evening, the couple that sat directly beside us was Steven Gilliland and his wonderful wife Diane. Steven happens to be a very well known acclaimed author and public speaker. My husband and I were so happy when Steven sent us a few of his books, “Making a Difference” and a “Cherry On Top”. Steven had personally autographed them to us as well. What a kind and awesome gesture and it was very much appreciated. We are currently reading his books and just love them. As a thank you for their kind generosity, I sent them this card from my husband and I.

To create the card, I began with a card base of 5.5″ x 5.5″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. I cut Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock to be the same size as the base card and applied double-sided tape to it. This was adhered directly to the base card. Next, I cut a piece of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock to the size of 5.25″ x 5.25″. I sprayed some water onto the paper and then using Kraftin’ Kimmie – Musical Melodies stencil I placed it on top of the paper and ran it through my Cricut Die Cutting machine to emboss the paper. Once the paper was dry, I placed the stencil over top of the paper again and this time, using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Black Soot and a blending brush, I coloured in the musical notes. I also inked around the edges with the same ink and a mini dauber.

Using my Cuttlebug and PinkFresh Studio – Essentials – Blanket Stitched Square 4″ dies, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The main image was stamped onto this die cut using Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI. I coloured in the image and created my own background. Once this was completed, I put the image back into my MISTI and stamped the sentiment using Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink. Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder was applied over top of the ink and then heat embossed with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. The little notes were added with Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and a miniature stamping block. I just chose several notes and stamped them randomly around the image. I felt like the image was still missing something, so I decided to take my Copic black marker (100) and using the lines from the die cut as a guide, coloured in every second stripe. I thought this made it look like a piano keyboard. Lastly, My Creative Time – Stitched Squares Inside and Out 4.5″ were used to die cut Recollections – Matte Gold Foil cardstock.

The card was now ready to assemble. I added U-Line Double-Sided Foam tape to the back of the music square, gold square and image. Each of them were popped onto each other and centred onto the base card.

Gnome One Else – Valentine’s!

Today I’m sharing a Valentine’s card using Whimsy StampsGnome One Else Clear Stamps that I made for my husband this year!

The image and sentiments were stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cut to the size of 7″ x 5″ using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I created a base card to be 7.25″ x 5.25 using Recollections – Red cardstock. I coloured in all of the images with Copic markers listed below. The hearts were applied using Kraftin Kimmie – Happy Hearts Stencil and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Lumberjack Plaid using a blending brush. Once this was completed, using the MISTI for placement, I applied the sentiments using Versa Fine – Onyx Black from the same stamp set. Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder was applied and then heat embossed with a Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Using a finger dauber and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry, the edges of the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card were inked all around.  The coloured image was then applied to the base card using double-sided tape.

My husband loved his card and I hope you do too!

Workout Wheelie!!

Sharing a birthday card I made using Art Impressions Workout Gal Wheelie  for the main image and sentiment. My colleague loves to workout and I thought this would be a fun card to make for her. There is a tab on the inside of the card which makes the wheels turn as she pedals.

To make my card, I began with a card base of Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5″ x 4.25″. Using my Cuttlebug and Gina Marie Designs – Nested Scalloped Stitched Rectangles, I die cut Scrapbook.com – Rainbow Smooth cardstock. Then, using my Cuttlebug again and this time Momenta – Cardstock, I die cut the inside rectangle with My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers.

Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and then die cut with the dies that came with the stamp set.  The backgrounds and base card were also die cut to match where the wheel would be turning. Using double-sided tape, the 2 large die cuts were attached to the base card centering the holes for each of them. The brads were inserted into the holes of the die cuts for the body and wheel assembly. This was glued onto the background rectangle. I positioned the sentiments around the image using a MISTI and Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink. They were embossed using my Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool and Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder.  Lastly, a 1/4″ foam circle was attached to the wheel from inside the card and the cover circle and tab were added to it. This mechanism allows the card holder to turn the wheel. So much fun!

Birthday Ssschmirth-day!

Today, I’m sharing a fun birthday card using Whimsy StampsMe-Wow Cat Birthday that I made for my father-in-laws 80th Birthday. He’s wasn’t too keen on turning 80 so I thought I would make this fun card for him! He loved it and I hope that you do too!

To create the card, I began with a card base of 5.5″ x 5.5″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. Echo Park Paper Co. – Happy Birthday Boy paper was cut to the same size as the base and adhered with double-sided tape. Using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time – Stitched Squares Inside and Out, I die cut a 3.5″ x 3.5″ square out of Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and a 4″ x 4″ square out of Recollections – Black cardstock.

Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image from Whimsy StampsMe-Wow Cat Birthday. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and then I stamped the image again onto a Post-It note and fussy cut around the balloon and upper half of the kitty to use it as a mask. I placed it over top of the coloured image and created the party background using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Squeezed Lemonade and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet which I applied using Blending Brushes. After the first layers were added, I used the same colours,  but this time I used Hero Arts – Party Confetti Stencil (Crop & Create Exclusive) to create the streamers. I removed the mask and put the image into my MISTI once again and this time, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and then heat embossed it using Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder and Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Lastly, U-Line double-sided tape was applied to the back of the image and the black square. These were then popped up onto the centre of the card.

Sweet Note of Thanks!

Today I’m sharing a Thank-you card using Your Next StampMusic Bunny – CYNS262. I was recently on a cruise and we met some new wonderful couples that sat at the tables next to ours and we exchanged information.

I added U-Line double-sided pop-up tape to the back of the music square, gold square and image. Each of them were popped onto each other and centred onto the base card.

Dance With Me!!

Today, I’m sharing a card that I made using Dreamerland Crafts stamps called Just Dance With Me – DCS17037. Sometimes just dancing with our partners or friends can bring such joy to us. No matter where you may be, just hear the music and dance no like no one is watching!

To create this card I began by making a base of 5.5″ x 4.25″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. The sky was created using Lawn Fawn Cuts – Cloudy Stencil, a  blender brush and Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Salty Ocean and Broken China. To create the grass, I first cut 2 pieces of DCWV – Pocket Blossom designer paper to the sizes of 5.5″ x 2.5″ and 5.5″ x 1-5/8″.  Lawn Fawn – Grassy Hillside Borders die cuts and my Anna Griffin Empress Mini Cutting Machine were used to die cut the 2 pieces. Using a blender brush and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Rustic Wilderness, I inked over top of the blades of grass and then around the other 3 edges.

The main image was stamped using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured in the image and then fussy cut around it leaving a slim white border. U-Line double-sided tape was added to the back of the image. I then placed the image onto the card before removing the tape backing to see where to place the sentiment. Using my MISTI again and Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink, I applied the sentiment onto the base card. Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder was then applied to it and it was heat embossed with Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool.

The final pieces of the card were now ready to assemble. I peeled off the tape backings from the large die-cut and added some liquid glue to allow me to move it into the correct position over top of the grass I had placed down earlier onto the base card. After popping up the top grass cut, I then repeated the same process and popped up the image in between the blades of grass. Finally, I added in some butterflies from the same stamp set using Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Wilted Violet. I had made them lighter by first stamping off of the page and then onto the card.

Card Recipe:

AHH – 60!!

Sharing a birthday card I made for a friend using Art ImpressionsAHH Set – A4671 and Rock On Laugh Lines – 5422. I was late getting this birthday card out to my friend as usual and this face says it all. LOL!

To make the card, I began with the base of 8.5″ x 7″ Hammermill – Premium Colour cardstock, scored and folded to the size of 8.5″ x 3.5″. Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, the images were stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock and coloured in with Copic Markers. Once the images were coloured, I fussy cut around them both. For the blouse, I stamped the image again onto DCWV – Pocket Blossom paper and paper-pierced it onto the image after I had run it through my Xyron Create a Sticker. For the image on the front page, a black marker was used to outline all of the edges.

For the front of the card, I die cut 3 balloons using my Anna Griffin Empress Mini Machine, Concord & 9th – Pop-Up Par-Tay dies and Pergamano Parchment Paper – Rainbow Pastel and 1 balloon out of a spare piece of patterned paper to use for the inside of my card. The numbers were cut from Recollections – Black cardstock using my cutting machine and Lawn Fawn Lawn Cuts – Henry’s 123s. To create the background, I used multiple Tim Holtz Distress inks listed below, multiple brushes and Lawn Fawn – Confetti Stencils to create the background on the base card front.  The sentiment was stamped with a MISTI, Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and then embossed with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder. Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool was used to heat the embossing powder. Then, I fussy cut around it.

The front of the card was now ready to assemble. I ran each of the numbers through my Xyron Create a Sticker and the balloons through my Xyron Creative Station. The numbers were then placed onto the balloons. I attached the first 2 balloons to the card and then drew in the strings with a black marker. I then added the last balloon and drew another string. A white pencil was used to create a bit of glow along the left side of the balloons. After attaching U-Line double-sided tape to the back of the sentiment and the image, I popped them up onto the front of the card.

Inside of the card:

For the inside of the card, I used Rock On Laugh Lines – 5422 – Art Impressions, Dance It Out Set – 5278 – Art Impressions, Be Happy Laugh Lines – 5279 – Art Impressions for the sentiments. I cut out 3 sentiment bubbles using Anna Griffin Empress Mini Machine, Spellbinders – Die D-Lites Conversation Bubble 3 Etched Dies out of white cardstock. I stamped each of sentiments using a MISTI, Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and then embossed with Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder. Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool was used to heat the embossing powder. I ran each of the sentiment bubbles and my image through my Xyron Creative Station.

The inside of the card was now ready to assemble. I placed the 1 bubble sentiment at the top of the card and then using my image as a guide for placement, I attached the patterned balloon to the card first. The image was attached on top of it and then I added the bottom bubble sentiment. Lastly, I placed the final bubble sentiment to the card in between the other top 2 bubble sentiments to complete the card.

Thankfully, she loved her card and I hope you do too!

Smooth Sailing Ahead!!

Today, I’m sharing a card that I made using Dreamerland Crafts stamps called Wishing you a smooth sailing ahead – DCS1703. This card could be used to wish someone smooth sailing for cruising, retirement or for a new job position or even if you knew someone who just bought a new boat for fun! The stamp set also comes with 2 more sentiments, “on a Journey to find Happiness” and “Taking a break from my daily routine”.

To make this card I used a base of 5.5″ x 4.25″ using Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. Recollections – Black cardstock was die cut to the size of 4.75″ x 3.5″ using Anna Griffin Empress Mini Machine and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Layers. Using the same machine and My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card to the size of 4.5″ x 3.75″. The main image was stamped using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the images again onto Post-It Note paper to create a mask and fussy cut around them. After stamping the main image, I placed the masking of the little girl in the boat on top of the inked image as shown below.

I stamped the mountains starting from the left side, while still using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. The mountain mask was applied over top of them and I stamped another set of mountains so that they looked like they were behind the first set of mountains. I continued to do this going across the image to create a mountain range. Then, I removed all of the masks and coloured in the image using copic markers.  Copic – Opaque White was used to create the crests of the waves and Stampin’ Up – Whisper White Ink and a small #2 round brush were used to create the clouds in the sky. Versamark, my MISTI and Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail were used to add in the birds from the same stamp set. Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool was used to heat emboss the powder. I added U-Line double-sided tape to the back of the image and popped it up onto the black rectangle.

Using my MISTI, Versa Fine – Onyx Black ink and Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder, I stamped and embossed the sentiment onto Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock. Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool was used to heat emboss this as well. Using Anna Griffin Empress Mini Machine and My Creative Time – Bunch of Fun Circle Dies, I die cut the sentiment with a 1.25″ circle. With a 1.5″ circle punch, I die cut Recollections – Black cardstock. I added U-Line double-side tape to the back of the sentiment and popped it up onto the larger black circle. I added a double layer of the U-Line double-side tape to the right of the black rectangle on each side and popped up the larger black circle to the bottom right of the card. YNS Gumdrops – Ice Ice Baby Sparkly Gumdrops were added to the top left corner of the card to finish it off.

To make the card, I began with the base of 3.5″ x 8.5″ Hammermill – Premium Colour cardstock. I also die cut the Hammermill – Premium Colour cardstock with the Whimsy Stamps – Slimline Marquee Die and my Cuttlebug. Using multiple Picket Fence – Blending Brushes and Tim Holtz Distress Inks listed below, I created my own background. Using the window pieces from the die cut, I traced around them onto Doodlebug – hey cupcake (6″x6″) paper and fussy cut around them. I applied some glue along the edges and attached them to the back of the panel.  Then I applied double-sided tape to the backing and attached this to the base.

Using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink, the images were stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock and coloured in with Copic Markers. Once everything was coloured, I fussy cut around each of them. The sentiments were stamped onto Recollections – Black cardstock with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail and my Marvy Uchida – Embossing Heat Tool. Using my cutter, I cut around each of the sentiments. I added double-sided tape to the back of the images and sentiments and popped them all up onto the base card. Finally, I added some Kraftin’ Kimmie Pop Dots.

Inside of the card:

For the inside of the card, I used my large MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the sentiments from Art Impressions Glamour Pop-Ups – 5355 and Purrrfect Sentiments – HoneyBee Stamps. I ran the little kitty from the Roberto’s Rascals – Cutie Cats – C.C. Designs set that I had coloured earlier through my Xyron Create a Sticker and attached it directly to the card to finish everything off.

Thankfully, she loved her card and I hope you do too!

Rain or Shine!

Sharing a card I made today using Penny Black Stamps – Rain or Shine. My husband and I always celebrate the first day that we started going out together and also our wedding anniversary each year. Yesterday, marked 36 wonderful years together. We had bears on the top of our wedding cake, so I thought it would be great to make him a card with bears to celebrate our special day.

To make my card, I started out with Hammermill – Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock to create a card base of 5.5″ x 4.25″. Using My Creative Time – Rectangle Frame Dies and my Cuttlebug, I die cut a small rectangle into the front of the card. For the raindrops, I first applied some Post-It tape down the centre of the card and then applied Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Tumbled Glass with a Picket Fence – Blending Brush. I placed Kraftin’ Kimmie – Rainy Day Stencil over top of this blue section and this time I applied Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean. I removed the stencil and the Post-it Note tape and covered the centre where the blue colour ended. Using a Picket Fence – Blending Brush and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Squeezed Lemonade, I applied yellow to the entire right side of the card. Lastly, I placed Kraftin’ Kimmie – Starburst Stencil over top and using the same brush, I applied Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mustard Seed. I die cut the word “Happy” using My Creative Time – Happy Everything Stamp Set and Recollections – Black cardstock. Lastly, using a sentiment from the same stamp set, I stamped and heat embossed the word “Anniversary” using Versa Fine – Onyx Black and Ranger – Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder.

Here is the inside of the card.

I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. I die cut it using Lawn Fawn – Zig Zag Square Stackables and coloured in the image with Copic markers. Using my MISTI again, I heat embossed the sentiment onto Recollections – Black cardstock using VersaMark and Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail. Gina K. Designs – Master Layouts – #9 was used to die cut the sentiment. I applied glue to the back of the image and sentiment and attached them both to the inside of the card.
